    Nice, swallow tails can be tricky. I would have a shit hemorrhage if someone put a board on my racks that had a molecule of wax on it, must be my OCD kicking in 😂😂

    I would imagine that the boards with alot of pressure dings-the blank can't be reused.
    Today's resin doesn't smell as toxic as the old stuff.

      If it’s thick enough you can plane out the pressure dings. But the board definitely won’t be the same. Im looking for a filler that is very lightweight and strong as an alternative for the planer.

    Hey man! Question, after applying and shaping the the q cell mix, thinking ahead to re glassing those parts, did you make it all thinner to take into consideration the thickness of the fiberglass and resin?

    • @Rogue_wave
      @Rogue_wave  Před 2 lety +4

      Nope, you just sand down the fiberglass patch (more so on the edges than in the middle) and it can get so close that to the human eye it appears flush. Takes a bit of practice though.

    Hey man! Awesome ding repair. What did you use in 08:10 ? Sanding resing ? Hot coat? I normally fix my boards with epoxy therefore i'm not an expert handling polyester resin (yet). Thanks!

      Yeah sanding resin. Same stuff people use for a hot coat.

    Did you use laminating or sanding resin with the Q-cell?

    If you didn't flip the board over mid pour you wouldn't have had to do it twice. Of course that'll give you problems. Patience grasshopper... 🤙
