    Excellent very well done, for small business once they learn to print cheques they don't need to buy payroll software. I use excel for payroll I love it! I think once people truly understand how delightful and easy excel is to use for payroll ie. in small companies there will be far less demand for compensation and payroll software. Our company has less then 20 people, I can just add whatever I need.

    How about the ones that have different hourly for the weekday and weekends? I didn't understand when you got to the overtime

    • @geniusworldteam
      @geniusworldteam  Před rokem +1

      Dear Sir,
      We have used the usual time for routine hours and then over time. You can find the format as well about how we can set the over time to work on it.
      Hopefully it will works

    • @NineEyedOracle
      @NineEyedOracle Před 11 měsíci

      You could make two pay columns: Weekly Pay Rate and Weekend Pay Rate, then calculate the cost per number of hours for each. It would be very similar to how he split the overtime value here. The overtime is just an additional column to calculate hours worked at a different pay rate. The calculation he's running is to figure hours worked at a regular pay rate + hours worked at an overtime rate. So, to make this straightforward: If I work 2 hours at a regular pay rate of $10 per hour, I have made $20, right? If I work 2 more hours at an overtime pay rate (time and a half or 1.5x) of $15.00, I will have made $30 from the overtime that I have worked, right? Add those two together (20+30) and you get $50.00.
      That formula looks like this:
      (2 x 10) + (2 x 15) = $50. You solve in PEMDAS fashion.
      I hope this answers all of the questions you had.
      It's 6 months later so you may have already resolved the question for yourself, I'm sure. But just in case. :)
