    Excellent very well done, for small business once they learn to print cheques they don't need to buy payroll software. I use excel for payroll I love it! I think once people truly understand how delightful and easy excel is to use for payroll ie. in small companies there will be far less demand for compensation and payroll software. Our company has less then 20 people, I can just add whatever I need.

Select the range of cells you want to apply the conditional formatting to. 2. Go to the "Home" tab on the Excel ribbon. 3. Click on "Conditional Formatting" in the Styles group. 4. Choose "New Rule" from the dropdown menu. 5. In the New Formatting Rule dialog box, select "Format only cells that contain" from the Select a Rule Type section. 6. Set your desired conditions under the "Format only cells with" dropdown menus. 7. Click on the "Format" button to choose the format you want to apply, including the font, border, and fill color. 8. Click "OK" to confirm the format. 9. Click "OK" again in the New Formatting Rule dialog box to apply the conditional formatting.
