Finally, a baked oats recipe with an option to not use bananas!!!đ„°
Yes!! Hope you enjoy!
Was so happy to come across this âșïž
Banana is used just to make them sweeter not necessary
"It tastes like a cake and it looks like cake". That is because it is a cake!! đđ
Pretty much!!
It is cake because the definition of a cake is something that has a mixture of four or more ingredients put in the oven including egg ,milk and baking powder
@@rubyphin1852 You can cook a cake without an oven
@@neno3123 that's what you call a "PanCake" ;)
Yeah I discovered your channel not long ago, now YT is sharing your old vids with me. I đ them. But then I saw this one. When this trend was going around, I was like ugg. One big pet peeve of mine is calling something by a name that belongs to something else and the thing being misnamed actually has a name.
There is a thing called Baked Oatmeal. It's made in a bowl with oats. Not flour or "blendered" oats. Yes I meant "blendered" not blended. LOL.
Cake on the other hand is an item of soft, sweet food made from a mixture of flour, oil or oil substitute, eggs, sugar, and other ingredients. Then baked.
Like someone else said it tastes like cake đ cause it is cake.
Some shared this saying it's healthy...well... more or less you are eating cake.
I suppose it's healthier than eating a cake made from AP flour. But Real actual baked oats would be better for you.
The more you process food outside of your body, the higher the glycemic index is for that food item.
So chalk it up to cake for breakfast just like pancakes. Less like oatmeal.
I made this recipe this morning and added a bit of vanilla and cinnamon to the mix which really helped with the flavour. Then when it was out of the microwave I added a bit of peanut butter on top and a few seeds. Really nice!
I tried the vanila one with some strawberrys. Loved it! Thanks for the recipe đ
I was craving for a sweet healthy dessert..just saw this recipe 1/2 an hour ago and made it right away. I had all the ingredients accept maple syrup so I used brown sugar in replacement and oat flour.
I also used all 3 combination of banana, milk & eggs. I turned out so well. Thanks so much! I am also following you on your FB page. đ„°

I love the maple syrup to sweeten it up. Soooo đ
I think it makes a huge difference in this recipe!
Loving it for my pre workout muscle building food. Itâs the Bomb !!!!
Great idea! Love that!!
I'm eating the chocolate version rn!! So good! I swapped the maple syrup for a drizzle of caramel on top!
I love that! The caramel is such a good idea.
Thanks for the resipeđ€
My mom is going to loooove this one!!!!! đ
I used 2 tablespoon sweetened creamer (or condensed milk) instead of maple syrup (I didn't have any kind of syrup) and it became good and I like it
and instead of frosting I used condensed milk too đ
Also I cooked it in mug in microwave, the shape wasn't as good as the bowl in the video but the texture was ok
I'm glad to hear it works that way too! Sounds delicious!!
Easy breezy beautiful! đâ€
For the frosting, I use melted peanut butter and Trader Joeâs cookie butter! Omg. So good!
Baked Oatsđ .. It's really a treat for breakfast which is healthy too... Loved it. I also made 2 versions .. absolutely in love with it.
I totally agree! Yay!!
healthy? lol Milk, Syrup and oats?
@@adamcraig1468 what is unhealthy about milk?
@@adamcraig1468 One of the things you listed is only partly unhealthy
@@beankaty2651 which? Lol
I tried this recipe straight away, the chocolate variety. It was lovely, I have tried cooking both oven and microwave method. I prefer the oven cooked cake but my husband prefers the microwave version as its more stodgy and chewy but still great if you can't wait. Thank you for sharing this recipe its a great way to satisfy the need for cake. A lower calorie version I have tried is with Erithrytol not as healthy but still ok if you are looking at calories.
I prefer the oven way too! You're so welcome!
Hey Thanks for this video ! đ How do u think this would turn out without the baking soda? Would it be too dense do you think?
Looks awesome. Did try making this with True Elements Rolled oats and it turned out perfect. Thanks for sharing! Do try once
Thank you! That's great to hear. Happy to have shared!
I loved the recipe, i tried it out for breakfast, used sugar instead of maple syrup and drizzled some honey on top and it was delicious. Much better than traditional recipe of oats
Yay!! Happy to hear you enjoyed it!
How much sugar did you add for the same quantity mentioned in the video ?
Jst luved the recipe gona try now n subbed already đđ
Thank you so much!!!
@@Feelgoodfoodie absolutely my pleasure
Hey!! So I used only oats milk and maple syrup!!! And some baking powder!! And I put some chocolate in it it was so good!!!
I'm glad it still turned out good that way!
A âtouchâ of maple syrup, she POURED it in! đ
I'd recommend a tablespoon of maple syrup to add a touch of sweetness to oats that can sometimes be bland. But you can add more or less depending on your preference!
Makes it taste better that way đ
Love it.
Yay!!
Hahah if i make more batter i can make a cake and also pancakes with it! Great recipe!
Yes, for sure!
I just bought a ramekin to try it! Thinking of mixing protein powder with yogurt to have it as a frosting!
I love it! That's such a great idea!! Hope you enjoy!
A childâs dream come true! đ
I actually never minded cupcakes for breakfast as long as they were healthy and had eggs in it. Sugar is bad for starting a day because itâs simply bad unlike other energy boosting sweet flavored goodies to start the day with such as bananas, honey/jam sandwiches, homemade oatmeal cookies or bars pressed with nuts and dates. Kids really love that when at school because theyâre hungry and when theyâre so they will taste every bit of goodness you put in a snack there. One time my son came back from school and asked me to make him more sandwiches of soft cheese with tomatoes! đ€·đ»ââïž He thought was wow because he was HUNGRY! It is wow though.đđđ»
Yes!! That's amazing!
I tried with medium size banana & made pancake. Delicious đ
Yay! That's so fun!

Thanks for sharing. Iâm going to try this. Can they be stored in the fridge for a few days? And if so, do they microwave well? Please confirm
Of course! The baked oats will keep well in an airtight container for 2 days at room temperature and up to a week in the fridge. You can reheat when ready to eat!
Thanks for sharing this recipe i really enjoyed while making this, i used rolled oats from True Elements.
You're so welcome!
Loved this recipe, will definitely try tomorrow ! Is the microwaved one as good as the oven one?đ§
Thank you! Can't wait to hear what you think. I think the oven one is better!
I made it!!! I actually used 5 portions of it and baked it... 9x11 baking dish....mixed raisins into it and chia seeds instead of eggs...I veganized it... sprinkled some slivered almonds on it....it's very delicious! Thanks for this amazing recipe!
That sounds amazing!!

Excited for you to give it a go! You're so welcome!! I don't remember exactly where I got it from... but, if I do, I'll be sure to let you know!
Hey thanks for the recipe and great instructions. What can I use instead of eggs?
You're welcome! You can make it vegan by using a flax egg, or just using Πcup of any milk instead of the egg.
@@Feelgoodfoodie That's amazing I'll try it asap! Thanks once again
So very delicious that I like đ
I've made it without egg, and mine never got the texture like yours. but the pancakes come out great. just oats flour, baking powder and milk.
You can just blend your oats into oat flour and keep it in an airtight container. Then you can just mix and cook the days you want it with out the blender every time.
I was wondering if that would be possible, because my family doesnât like a lot of noise in the morning lol
Yes, that's possible too!
Just made the vanilla one in the microwave at my 4 year old sonâs request. Pretty good.
I'm so glad to hear it!
how many minutes needed if u use microwave?
It probably depends on the watts of your microwave. I think I did 90 seconds and I have a little crappy 700w?
@@hislivelystone Thankyou!
My son said this was the best oats bake he had, thank you so much
Wow, that's amazing! You're so welcome!

Yummy Iâm trying this, I love cake but been trying to cut back on processed sugar & carbs
Let me know what you think! This is perfect for that!!
@@Feelgoodfoodie I made it itâs really good! I used monk fruit sweetener (low carb) instead of maple syrup and next time I want to cut out the egg and use banana (it tasted too eggy for me) I loved it though. Will definitely play around with flavors too
This recipe is super versatile in that way, so that's going to work great!
Johnny âMom, can I have cake for breakfast?â
Mom âNo way young man, thats bad for you...youâre having fried cake with butter and syrup. Now go wash up before it gets cold.â
đđ
I've made this recipe as a pancake mixture. It worked out pretty good
Love you
tomorrow's breakfast war is done and taken care of tysm!!!!!!!!
I have made these twice before. This morning my blender cup nearly exploded when I tried to open it. I suspect that it's the baking powder. From now on I would rather add the baking powder afterwards and then stir it in as this could be kinda dangerous. đ
Yeah, that definitely sounds like the way to go about it in that case!
My blender has felt pressurized before when making oat flour or powdered sugar (I could feel the plastic heat up and slightly expand). Now I pulse the dry ingredients first and open the blender to release the pressure every once in a while, then add my wet ingredients. No more pressurized blender :)
@@Haneenah13 thanks for the tip
wondering what the consistency would br if I added protein powder. Looks good đ€
I would like to make some of these for the week, any storage suggestions?
The baked oats will keep well in an airtight container for 2 days at room temperature and up to a week in the fridge.
Thanks
Can I use protein powder for the chocolate?
Can I keep a mixture in the fridge for following day? How long would the mixture keep made up in the fridge for another day.
