- From 1931 to the present the A-2 Flight Jacket has ruled the skies through many conflicts, but WWII was their pinnacle. Highly individualized Aircrews took great pride in the art of heros. I love you Airbaja - I hate war. I love John Belushi and sometimes humor is the best way of expressing dissatisfaction with something. I hate abuse from the trusting and hopefully I live long enough to tell the tale in a movie just like you have shown.

Awesome AB! Steve McQueen looks like a total bad boy in that jacket. Gotta love the bad boys. I don't know where you find this stuff but it never disappoints. Neither does the music. This was before the woke washing of our military. No more risqué pics on the back of those jackets. Szzz 🍸🤘
Well done AB. You never cease to surprise me. I’ve owned my share of A-2s (black and brown) and known a few WWII survivors who celebrated their free speech - if only printed on the jackets - as did their sweethearts.
I love those oldtimers, that's why I help the museum, their stories need to been told and retold....

1941 didn't do that well at the theaters, but i thought it was funny. My grandfather balanced the crankshafts for B-24s at Ford.
I love the movie, truly innovative camera work, large one shot scenes, and "Hollywood!!!" The periscope scene..
@@Airbaja I thought it was funny, the oil tanks at Santa Barbara actually did get shelled by a submarine, also Fort Stevens in Oregon.
@@2011woodlands Yuppers, my Mom was in the Philippines trying to escape. My Gramps was a Chief in the Navy since the early 30's. Stationed at Subic Bay. Everyone was freaked out Maan!

Nice, as always! Although I think of war as one of the most idiotic occupances of the humanknd, I like WWII airplanes (shown P-40s, B-25s, B-17s) as they are the most abvanced propeller-driven piston-engined aircrafts. It's interesting to note, that if one aircraft has beautifull appearance, it usually flies well 😀
I agree war is hell, but 4Cass If any war needed fighting it was WWII, JUST SAYING millions murdered in camps, we were attacked, darkness was about to prevail upon the earth. @@Airbaja no, no, I'm not an orthodox pacifist, just referring to war in general, kinda phylosophical point, not WWII in particular. :-) Of course one that being attacked should deffend himself, not matter USA, USSR, etc. Even more if the attacked nation was facing its physical extinction.

@@Airbaja hi! I know some people were/are experiencing things w/out rational explanation. Fewer of them can talk for this to the others, you know. So, I just want to tell something weird happened yesterday. I was going to get some cat food from a neighbour store, & that song was in my mind, 'Crawling King Snake'. While stroling through the store, staring here & there, my mind has cleaved, one half noting the prises, the other somewhere down inside still playing the song. And when it went to the verse 'I'm the crawlin' king snake, & I rule my den' I noted something on the shelf just beneath the nuts. Initially i thought it was some garbage w/strange appearance, but once I took it in my hand I realized it's a ring. Silver, king cobra-shaped ring. 🤔
Im not concerned or something, but mentioning it to my wife I have received no comment whatsoever. I guess she didn'r realize the circumstances 😀

Indiana jones does NOT wear an A-2 flight jacket.
He wears som kind of half belt jacket with pockets and a collar similar im style but the jacket is slightly longer without elastics and a very different cut....
