Never seen someone do a video for this machine. After a year of drinkable lattes, I’ve finally made a great cup thanks to all these details. So thankful!!
I’ve been watching the family blogs since middle school, I’m now 25 with a 4 month old girl of my own! I won’t lie, I’ve been seriously struggling with motherhood and the vlogs give me a lot of hope that it won’t always be so hard! Thank you to you and Judy and of course the girls for all the vlogs! I even have a video of my girl in her boppy pillow “talking” to Judy on the TV while I was washing bottles! ❤️ also have been making coffee at home now that I have a WFH job so this came at the perfect time! Planning to make Lumpia this weekend and pizza with my husband!
It gets easier over time and I hope you enjoy these sweet priceless moments.
Benji, you might want to make videos about:
1. Camping must have
2. Camping food for kids haul
3. Road trip snacks haul
4. Emergency or Go bag
5. Emergency food haul
I love coffee but I used the manual espresso machine & my lattes come out yummy still using premium ingredients. Thank you for ur step by step video 👍
Consider weighing your beans before grinding them. This way your beans stay fresh in a container (or the bag) and you waste less
This would make less waste and more consistent results. The wdt tool should be used kind of like a mixing tool to break clumps and create even dispersion instead of poking holes.
Wow i thought i knew how u made coffee before i had no idea! That milk steam is so cool! Love how u just keep making coffees to perfect your art! Slow and small movements from what i remember watching that coffee expert! You guys will eventually move to decaf the amount of coffee u guys drink!❤
Thank you so much for this video. I just got a Breville and have been having trouble with any kind of latte art.
Wow I'm not a coffee drinker but this Latte you made sure does look delicious!
It is!
Oh wow! This series is very fun! Keep em coming ❤❤❤🎉🎉
love my barista touch, before I pull my shot I love to add Irish cream syrup in the cup.
Love your passion for food and nutrition !
I bought this machine last year based on your videos. It is a wonderful machine. I purchased it through Williams Sonoma and waited to catch it on sale. Luckily, they ran a 20% off sale for Mother's Day. If you are thinking about purchasing it, it's worth it at the sale price!!!
Thanks for the tips and angles esp with steaming the milk - never could grasp but i think i can now !
i’m really enjoying your vlogs! keep them coming.
I will
Been waiting for this video since watching you make them in the vlogs! 😊❤
Thank you Benji Great Job showing everything! You know our son Jacob Lincoln and Charis and he is a coffee pro just like you! We have the Breville machine right under the one you have and I am learning how to use it.
Great tips, you might want to consider pulling the shot then steaming the milk! Steamed milk loses its texture pretty quickly as it sits. It will help a lot with the latte art!
Yeah that’s always the dilemma. Shot or the milk???
someone, a barista, also commented on one of the vlogs that they recommend milk first before the coffee… it’s quite confusing
❤Thank you for these great tips !☕️👍
Looks yummy!! Benji, can you do a miso butter recipe please 🙏🏽
Yes!
I have the breville as well and I didn’t know there was a manual setting 😂I just made it and what a game changer! The foam was perfect!!!
this came at the perfect time! i just set up my breville bambino, awesome tips benji
Benji love watching you !
Your so proud of what you do !!!!!
I just love food
just brought the touch impress. so looking forward to using auto and manual. loved this video by the way. love the colour of the crema. yum
Thank you for this! I’ve been eyeing coffee machines so I can make lattes and you got me convinced! Haha thanks Benji!
You will thank me once you make these!
Hi benji! I wonder what happened to your breville oracle? Btw thank you for the tip for steaming the milk. Love it! Thanks benji
That looks delicious!
So delicious
If you like iced coffee, I highly recommend trying your espresso affogato (with a scoop of vanilla ice cream).
Sounds so delicious right now.
Thanks for this I've been trying to make mine and with my machine and I'm horrible. Guess I gotta buy a weigher
Just got an espresso machine and was totally inspired by Benji 😆
😎
Yummm 😋
We have the Delonghi version of coffee machine and I agree, once you have practiced the espresso and milk process, it is better than most cafe’s!!
Yup
Started getting into coffee with my boyfriend ever since we found a delicious coffee (philz philtered soul) that inspired us to make it at home. Still got tons of practice to do
Yes, one of the better milk tutorials yet. So good. Love how you kept trying the art. Would you please let me know what coffee sub u use.
Found the website! Thank you again.
Thanks. Yeah I gotta add that.
Thanks for the vid. What grind fineness did you use on the grind?
Would love to try your expert coffee benji!!❤
That would be awesome to work a cafe one day.
How do you set your machine, what grind size, milk temperature, etc?
You’ve done a great job! The tapping is critical but how do you control it and did you look at the pressure or does the machine show the pressure range?
Just by weight and manually stop it. No pressure on the touch.
Question - do you have to have a scale? Is it really life-changing?
What grind setting do you have it at and your inner burr setting
How coarse/fine is your coffee? (What number on the Breville Barrista Touch?
What level of grind do you put your coffee
What is the grind size of the beans?
What machine are you using in this video?
Benji, thank you so much for sharing the tips. Question about your grinder, you have the setting at size 5, mine is about 12. If I go less than 12, and use dual wall then the it doesn’t seem to drip at all. Do you have any tips?
So hard. You have to grab an extra bag of beans you like and keep trying different settings. That’s what I did. The price to dial it in.
Have you tried the aeropress? It's been fun and did take a lot of practice. I have to have decaf and I make full caf for my husband so I need the bean flexibility.
Love the aeropress
What number u have dial it in to get the right grind?
Good job, but you are missing the pre infusion step when you manually pull your shot.
I need to get into that thanks.
Saving all my money for that machine. 😅
Benji, this may be too picky about the process and possibly a bunch of BS but I was taught to keep the portafilter off the machine until you're ready to pull the shots to avoid burning the grind. Could be more of a higher frequency machine use at a coffee shop rule? Anyone else learn this tip?
I’ll try this. Thanks for sharing.
Get yourself a single dose hopper. And weigh your beans out ahead of time. I have not found any difference with a wdt vs just tapping the grind even, and then tamping. Especially with a puck. Everything else is exactly as I do it. Clean machine and quality fresh coffee are the two biggest mistakes anyone can make.
Clean machine!
So all in with machine, tools, extras etc. $1200.00. Fresh premium beans, 20 bucks. Fresh milk. Clean up...One more appliance on my counter.!? Wow!
Worth it
Ok but what grind size did he use 😒 skipped a very important step. One that can ruin the taste meaning all else he’s doing would be in vain but overall amazing video! Wish he made one with grind size instructions . 😒
Very unnecessary to switch beans out after a week. They will stay perfectly fresh for at least 20 days so long as they are sealed. 30 days max
