  • This pole vault exercise gives the pole vaulter the feeling of how keeping the core tight, hips back and trail leg back while driving forward. The vaulter learns that when trying to keep the hips back there is a point in the forward drive where the hips automatically go. That is when the trail leg swings down to tap. After the tap kick up hard and invert quickly to a completely extended body balanced on the shoulders.
