just to clear up if it hurts or not i just got mine and if your dentist is good like mine it shouldnt even hurt at all the needle hurts more then the actual procedure and the needle basically doesnt hurt at all it just feels like a sting with alot of pressure, and when they are drilling your tooth you literally only feel pressure not even basically you feel nothing. so yh i hope that releaves some stress for other people. (also i cannot stand pain so if it doesnt hurt for me it shouldnt hurt for you)

Just got root canal for 3 of my lower incisor teeth and to be honest my teeth had a severe infection so at the first sitting the it took 2 shots of anaesthesia to numb , it hurted a lot but was bearable. After that 2nd and 3rd sitting were without anaesthesia had a little pressure on tooth thats it. So I would like to say that this procedure is pain-free and you experience little to no pain but if anyone has a severe infection like me, they might experience some pain maybe about 3 on a scale of 10. So dont delay your appointment for dentist.

@SelvaPrabhuS not necessary, sir. As long as adequate tooth structure is present, the dentist makes a straight access into the root canal, removes the pulp, fixes medicaments and seals the opening. As there is less tooth structure that is lost, there is no need to put a crown. May be if the tooth is discolored, they make use laminates in facial surface alone

For anyone scared to go to the dentist don’t worry it dose not hurt when they work on you the only thing that hurts is the needle and if you can’t handle a little sting that feels like a bee went into your mouth just breathe and don’t think about it convince your brain to think you are not in pain it helps me when I go or listen to music through a ear phone it also helps

the dark teeth means the pulp of the tooth is dead. the crown is put on to the tooth to give it the same color as the rest of the teeth.
I just found out today that i needed a root canal and crown for one of my front tooth. I almost got a veneer to fix the discoloration. I’m not sure which is the best solution but i’m thinking fixing the problem is better than just covering it up.

I had cosmetic work done on my teeth about 8 years ago - a bunch of crowns. About six months later, the nerve died on one of my top teeth (same as the video except the opposite tooth) and I needed a root canal. Mine was done same as the video - drilled in, cleaned out and then filled. Didn't feel a thing, despite the horror stories some people tell. It was an utterly flawless and painless procedure!

@@starfox1 When I asked the same question, my dentist told me that sometimes teeth after they have been capped 'can't handle the weight' and the nerve dies off. I don't know, maybe some bacteria got caught under the cap/tooth when they were drilled down before being capped - I'm not sure.
I got my tooth canal treatment like a week ago, without any anesthesia, but my nerves where dead, definitely thought it would be worse, but not that bad, ofc very unpleasant, it did hurt few times, the time it did hurt is at this part 0:18 and I had 3 canals treatment, oh and I am very scared of dentists usually, pain before getting a treatment was way worse, so if you scared, don't be, its not that bad.

I had a root canal done this morning on both of my front teeth. I didn't feel anything. There was a moment I felt a little bit of discomfort, but they gave me more anesthesia and it was fine. One of the teeth was grey, so I paid extra for internal bleaching. I will probably be back for a second session, but the tooth looks a lot better. The entire process took about 40 minutes. It was quick! I do feel sore but that's about it! :)
Update. Tooth is back to looking normal. Tooth is great and I’m happy with my results! Worth the extra money for internal bleaching.

@@XTremelyAwkward yeah my tooth is back to normal. I didn’t have to get a crown thankfully. The internal bleaching really did the trick. It took two sessions but worth the money.

I had this but your tooth is quite brittle after because the living tissue inside has been removed. My root canaled tooth eventually broke and couldn't be saved. Had to have a bridge.

If I may reply to you mrs Flores, am an intern dentist, could conclude from your words that ur tooth got discolored second to necrosis (death) in pulp tissue lying within your tooth [and not actually second to trauma] , so having infection in surrounding structures (hard or soft) is normal cause necrosis was induced by pathogenic bacteria that could infiltrate within your teeth. So, don’t stress urself, accurate cleaning of the dead tissue within ur tooth with proper placement of root canal filling material will gradually restore a more accepted color of that tooth (it may require internal bleaching after few months) so keep on with ur specialist and that matter will be solved, Insha'Allah.

she should go to the dentist, he will tell her the best treatment for her money. Probably it is a cleaning, then a set of teeth is made which fits perfectly (at best) and then she gets the fitting "glue" paste to make it stay thru the day.

Omg i waited 8 years to get a root canal until things got really bad. I had to sit through multiple appointments for a collective 10 hours, i do not recommend!
Take care of your teeth and get them checked regularly to avoid them getting to that point.

You got this big rubber shute clamped around the tooth and and spread out your mouth. The dentist is asking you if your are okay. All you can say is "aaarrraaahhh". 😂😂😂. It is what it is.

@@venkeyvenkat6211 I don't think you will lose your original tooth, the doctor will just remove the pulp from inside the tooth as shown in the video. Has the discoloration increased over time though? Also, I hope you get the procedure done soon because it's been a lot of time for you. 👍🏻

Every root canal I’ve done needed a crown. I’ve had 7. Luckily they were not front teeth. Some of the caps look pretty real

I don’t think I actually need a root canal on a front tooth, but one of them have been kind of sensitive to cold, so worst case scenario it needs one. I’m just wondering if the case would be different on a front tooth and if less tooth structure would be taken away, would it mean it could get away with just a filling or would it still need a crown. I just don’t want a fake front tooth, even if it looks real. I’m freaking myself out for no reason, cause I didn’t see a dentist abt it yet lol

I already got a lot of fillings done and a root canal and I have to go again soon for another root canal on a back tooth. I guess I’ll just mention it. I can tell somethings going on there, I can feel something in the back of that tooth. Hopefully the worst case is just a cavity that can be filled

I have to have about 8/9 root canals but I have no money for it.. I'm over 21, so I know Medicaid is not helping me. I'm considering taking out a loan. I'd rather have my teeth fixed and then deal with money issues later.

Carla Angeline Lomio toot canals are not supposed to hurt and if you color isn’t changing back, something went wrong and it’s not 100% fixed

@@samanthaogle8672 uhh. i dont know who told you this but you're wrong. the root canal therapy kills the tooth. it literially will become brown/black. you need a crown otherwise.
