    ABOUT CHICAGO FIRE
From renowned Emmy Award-winning executive producer Dick Wolf ("Law & Order" brand) and co-creator Derek Haas, the writer behind "3:10 to Yuma," comes Season 8 of "Chicago Fire." The family inside Firehouse 51 knows no other way than to lay it all on the line for each other. Capt. Matthew Casey (Jesse Spencer) leads the Truck Company and brash Lt. Kelly Severide (Taylor Kinney) runs the Rescue Squad. The firehouse also includes Battalion Chief Wallace Boden (Eamonn Walker), a fireman's fireman. Paramedic Sylvie Brett (Kara Killmer) returns alongside seasoned veteran Christopher Herrmann (David Eigenberg) and Randy "Mouch" McHolland (Christian Stolte), as well as resourceful firefighter Stella Kidd (Miranda Rae Mayo). Completing the team are dependable squad member Joe Cruz (Joe Minoso), paramedic Emily Foster (Annie Ilonzeh) and the newest addition, candidate Blake Gallo (Alberto Rosende).

Blake and Matt both wear their hearts on their sleeves. The fact that Gallo was willing to risk severe smoke inhalation just to save Noah, proves that he is such a pure soul when it comes to rescuing. Matt also followed his example. I love One Chicago.

Since when does someone being paralyzed mean they can't take care of their kid? Like yes, they have limitations but that does not mean they are incapable of being a good parent. That old lady was so rude and it's so sad that there's actually people out there who would shame someone for having a disability.

What is with the kids on this show hiding and refusing to leave when the fire is literally RIGHT THERE! Most kids are taught fire safety and the first thing they teach is to get out of the house and not hide! We started learning this in pre-school!

Since they had to shutter production for the final episodes (ep 21-23) this season will only have 20 episodes so there won’t be as dramatic season ending cliff hangers like in the past, I wonder if that means a) Cruz’s wedding will not happen this season b) Brett’s mom storyline may be incomplete this season c) I wonder where the Casey/Brett saga will be at by episode 20. I don’t expect them to become a couple this season, just pondering the steps in the lead up of the couple teaser saga. I assume we will have to wait in season 9 to see their scenes that will concern the Julie storyline and a potential tragedy involving Brett’s unborn half-sister or Julie. Also a potential scene at Cruz’s wedding where CaseyxBrett share a couples dance during the reception. I wonder if they will dance to the same song gabby/Casey danced to? Causes their chemistry to finally blossom? What do you all think? D) final thought on where the Severide/Stella/Seager storyline leads to? Obviously they can’t be swingers lol I don't think anything bad will happen to Stella and Severide's relationship

NBC, I just wrote you through the website: I am TOTALLY OFFENDED by the episode “Protect A Child”. How dare you during Social Work month or any other month air such an inaccurate portrayal of how Child Protective Services works. The next time you develop an episode & a Social Worker is involved, consider calling me to consult about the script. Yes, I am a Licensed Master Level SW w/over 30 yrs experience in various fields including CPS, Adoption, & Foster Care; both direct service & admin. Don’t & I’ll boycott & encourage others. I’M MAD. This was all I could write because characters are limited. In my years in this business I have NEVER come across a worker or combination of workers like this. Sure, I’ve met some that don’t have my level of care and compassion. Every profession has folks that need to be working somewhere else or not working at all, but I’ve never seen this. I’m offended and will take the time to let anybody know it. If you could see my face and hear my tone there would be no question in your mind that I am HOT. ANYTIME YOU DO THIS AGAIN, I’M CALLING YOU OUT!!
