ABOUT CHICAGO FIRE
From renowned Emmy Award-winning executive producer Dick Wolf ("Law & Order" brand) and co-creator Derek Haas, the writer behind "3:10 to Yuma," comes Season 8 of "Chicago Fire." The family inside Firehouse 51 knows no other way than to lay it all on the line for each other. Capt. Matthew Casey (Jesse Spencer) leads the Truck Company and brash Lt. Kelly Severide (Taylor Kinney) runs the Rescue Squad. The firehouse also includes Battalion Chief Wallace Boden (Eamonn Walker), a fireman's fireman. the man who was a former firefighter brought back memories of Peter Mills 😞 because I know that if he ever finds himself in a circumstance like this, he would be more than willing to help.
I still really miss Peter Mills, he was one of my favorites alongside Otis. They and Herman are my top 3 favorites on this show and now only Herman is left.
I absolutely love that Mouch is getting the recognition that he deserves this season...but is anyone else worried that they keep giving him his roses? 🥺 I really hope this isn’t a hero’s sendoff. They’ve teased his retirement for the last few seasons and I would be heartbroken if he leaves/retires. I really, really hope not. I hope that the takeaway instead is that Mouch has still so much to teach this younger generation of candidates and he needs to stay put!
Right I was thinking that as much as I love the mouch content we're get this season I just have this feeling that they are preparing for that which scares me I hope he stays because you could see at the end of 9x12 at Molly's everyone in that room was so inspired especially Gallo and Ritter so he still has a lot to do and I hope that's not the case
Mouch ends up in situations that nearly kill him once a season it feels like. Especially since the heart attack
@@armargo definitely. With that track record of dangerous situations, eventually something’s gotta give. We have 3 characters facing impending retirement and one of them will definitely have a retirement storyline. I’m just not ready for that to happen with anyone yet.

Mouch has always been undervalued in my opinion. Also, I'm really glad they brought back Mason's character, he makes a great addition to the 51 family.
During that disco fire, even after he got injured and couldn't help at the scene, he helped to calm that girl down who had massive survivor's guilt. 50% man, 50% couch, 100% teddybear.
Mouch deserved that medal he got for saving the little girl

I personally think mouch as shown that he has earned ranks that havent been giving to him
He never wanted them, he said he never took the Lieutenants test because he didn't want the added responsibility or paperwork. When he was interim union chief he couldn't cope with the extra work and hated it. I think Mouch shows you don't have to be an officer to be a good mentor, and that not everyone needs or wants to be an officer, that just being good at your job and inspiring others is enough.

@@KathrynCeleste51 Currently they have Gallo as the candidate on Truck and Ritter as the candidate on Engine. You can't add this guy to the show without promoting one of them out of being the candidate.

So sad that another break is on the way... but I know that those people are hard workers and do everything they can to give us our favorite show during this disaster.

At least this time the break isn’t their fault since it’s due to the Presidential congressional address. But just think, when they return we get 4 episodes back to back. One full month of episodes! The most we’ve gotten consecutively this year.
@@itshauteoutside oh, I didn’t know that. But the season overall was a bit out of sync with all the breaks (at least for me). And you right! Finally I won’t be forgetting what happened in the previous episode 😅

Would you guys believe me if I said my father was in a very similar situation back when he was a full time firefighter? In 2002 my father responded to a trailer fire (worked engine, then ladder once he became a volunteer) my dad saved a grown woman but on the way out, there was a backdraft that knocked out my father but saved the woman. He later got a tiny statue and medal for that save. My dad still has the burnt jacket and helmet to this day but he is no longer a firefighter
I hope that all first responders are thanked for their service. We thank the military for their service, but we often don't see first responders get thanked for their service. For your father, I thank him for his service.

By the time my kids only two I’m teaching them fire safety, to never hide in a fire and to look for firefighters, by the time they are five or six they will be taught how to use a fire extinguisher and how to put out different types of fires, but the most important thing I will teach them is to get out instantly

Otis would be very very proud on how far and how brave these firefighters have become. I have one question. Is this real life or acting because the whole time I’m thinking it’s real life?
It’s acting, but they use realistic solutions to fires like these. What’s even cooler is that most of the cast were once actual firefighters. They do bend the rules here and there but all and all, very realistic

I absolutely think prison firefighters should be given a chance. If they mess up or resort back to crime, then strike them. But some ex cons must surely turn their lives around. Like tim allen, judge mathis, leslie Grantham, charles s dutton.

His family owned a restaurant in Chicago but it burned down then his great uncle I think died and left them a building in North Carolina so his mother and sister moved there to open a new restaurant and Peter decided to go with them. I hope that clears things up.

To me due to this weird season everyone gets a focus episode. First episode was Brett and Mackey then Ritter, Boden so forth. ***Spoiler Mouch has been blame for aerial ladder, want to show off during training did audition & now save a kid. They already tease me with Mouch near death on the elevator. I wondering what there trying to do.

Really sloppy writing. Acetylene does NOT work "just the same". It's heavier than air. OTOH, hydrogen would work even better than helium until it caught on fire. What's happened to science education????
