  • Pulled out the dash and trim from the 1988 Cali Coupe and getting them ready for dye in Presidio Gray. I also go through the Gauge Cluster and show how I fix a cracked armrest pad.

Really cool one again, i like the repair on the arm rest, i like the black trim than the chrome, the gauge cluster
looking good, and that everything is dyed, it's going to look so sweet. Can't wait for the end product.

another good one... BTW, you can use black zip ties as a plastic welding/filler rod if you need to add more material. Miller Time!

Something we use in the auto body shops to repair bumper covers along with any and all things plastic that aren't available or not worth replacing because a simple repair can fix it... the hot stapler gun. You'd be surprised how weld they hold and its a hidden repair after some finish work. The plastic weld is great too as you're showing. The staples add some rigidity to it.

That is a nice Harbor Freight kit! I like that rachet. The one thing that has helped me with all the dash R&Rs is a 12" flexible bit extension on my cordless drill.
For that instrument cluster, it looks like a 90-93 speedo is in that 88 cluster. I did the same thing to my 87 as I got the 140 speedo for $40. I had to mod it a bit to make it fit as it mounts differently to the housing, but it works.

I agree, the 90 - 93 speedo has the curved cut out in the bottom left corner.

Thanks for sharing this information. I’ve been wanting to restore the gray plastic panels around my back seat of my 85 SVO. The driver’s side panel is sun bleached/ faded. Great video. Thanks

I just finished using LMRs SVO grey paint on my interior panels. It looks real good, can’t recommend it enough.

You and I are too much alike! When you know something is not what you want to strive for you know! That cluster would have driven me nuts as well.

That’s a 90-93 speedo fitted into an earlier cluster, based on that angled cutout I believe ?
Great vid !! I’m surprised that your vids don’t have waaayy more views !! They should, as your content is awesome !

Do you have a recommendation for a 93’ coupe? I believe it has the Opal Gray interior, so presidio gray probably wont match

Nice - I’m working on a 2003 F150 XL -Gray interior. I’m using SEM paint as well . I’d love to do some vinyl or cloth on a part of the door but I’m not certain how to do that cause it is not removable - it’s molded to look removable. Any help or thoughts
    Thank you

So all of a sudden nobody likes armor all! Well i still do! While he is complaining about the armor all smell. Realize this. It kept that dashboard shiny and protected for 30 plus years

I am sure you've been asked this 100 times but I figure 101 won't hurt. Where do you get your interior paint?
