This whole situation has got to be super buggy for the game to handle. Couldn't this be done with the 80s outfit too assuming you got this bug by exiting to the menu and equiping it mid playthrough
the game runs basically as normal, but i have corrupted a few save files in the process of making it work lol. but yes, it works with his 80s outfit. i posted footage of that as well (around 2 months ago?) in case you were interested
