This feels like another one of those weird and experimental, yet somewhat underrated Nintendo mobile-esque games. Y'know the ones, games like Yoshi Touch and Go, Kirby Tilt and Tumble, Mario Pinball Land, and Pokemon Dash to name a few.
Had fun with the Yoshi one. Never got far with Pinball Land when I had it. Never played the others.
nintendo would totally make those into mobile games

@@jyoster6447. I hated Touch & Go because it didn't look like I was progressing in the game, it was always the same, and I was really bad at it.
I still remember my times playing the sequel on the DS.

I saw that title and thought it was the ds game since I only played the ds game when I was younger in german.

Dammit, Donkey Kong. Everyone knows that the Dire Straights are the Sultans of Swing.
This game is incredible, as someone who speedruns this game, it’s so great to see someone talking about the game as it’s so often overlooked as it’s obscure or difficult to control. However the controls in this game are phenomenal, they’re so much fun to play with once you’re used to them, you can do all sorts of crazy shenanigans. So thank you for doing a video on this game, it’s so awesome to me that anyone even remembers this game :)

I've heard about it. But I've never actually seen anybody cover it. They also made a sequel.
To be honest, I've only ever heard it thanks to it's sprites being used in all manner of fan-made sprite animations and games back in the day.

Okay, I’m back. Nice work! As always, I find the sense of humor in your content to be on-point. King of Swing has always intrigued me, but I still don’t have a GBA, so I haven’t played it yet. I do love the art style though, so it’s first on my list once I do get a GBA. Also, I’m glad you’re covering all this DK stuff, because I really don’t see a whole ton of content being made about the series despite its profound effect on culture and the game industry.
With so many mentions of "pegs" is a wonder you didn't tried to sell your Goomba Bobbleheads.

Finally getting back to watching these videos again, and honestly I'm just glad to see nothing has changed for the worse. The animation feels clean for its minimalistic style and still makes sure the static image around whatever is moving still feels like a fitting environment for whatever is being said, as little as that makes sense I'm sure.
This really should've just been Clu Clu Land, they really had to include Bubbles
They probably needed to use Donkey Kong in order to market the game.

Years later I played smash bros and learned it was an actual Nintendo IP or something. Mind blown.
Despite never playing the game, when I watched a longplay a few weeks ago, I was surprised at how cool Sassy Squatch looked. Kinda wish he got a successor in Jungle Climber instead of the actual boss successor we got in this game (not K. Rool).
There were so many cool ideas in both King of Swing and Jungle Climber, and I really hope we get another game in this series someday.
Once again, this was a very nice video dude. I probably should've waited for this to release instead of spending an hour watching the longplay. Got the same amount of info here and it was entertaining to boot.

I like the direction you’re going as of late. Even though you’re talking about the same character, it’s nice to see each give you different material and talking points. Good stuff. Although, if this trend of DK handheld games keeps up, that means you’ll have to talk about MvDK: Tipping Stars... which is very not good stuff.

It actually looks good. Thank you LonelyGoomba for rediscovering it. These were really good experiments of Nintendo, but sadly not a lot of them became popular. I also remember seeing about Mario vs. Donkey Kong series (this one already covered) and GBA version of Mario Party, which is actually for one player

DK: King of Swing is a curious game to me.
I've never been interested in playing it, but I like its presentation and variety of playable characters. Funky, Wrinkly, Kritter, and King K. Rool made their playable debut here.
Don't quote me, but I believe that every character in Jungle Jam mode can change colors. Some look similar to the skins seen in Smash Bros..
Clu Clu Land is a game I played every once in a while on NES, but I'm not wowed by it. It was still kinda cool that Bubbles made an appearance here as a special unlock.
This was quite entertaining, Goomba. I'm looking forward to your coverage on Jungle Climber.

This was my favorite game on my gameboy back in the day, it still holds up & the music has no business being SO GOOD, I still listen to certain songs from the soundtrack sometimes cuz they’re that good :,)
