  • Here are my thoughts after installing an Ironman Pro Cell Foam Stage 1 kit and a new set of Falken A/T3W tires on my FJ Cruiser. I discuss a few issues that you may need to be prepared for and also some additional considerations for the future. See the link below for more details about this kit and thanks for watching. Cheers..

I think you said the front coils were rated for 230lbs of extra weight: I don't see any additional weight items at the front so was wondering how much down-travel is left on those front coils at your current ride height. The front CV axles at the moment seem to already be at quite a high-ish angle down. For really great info on FJ suspensions, look up "Tinkerers Adventure" on CZcams - he has some of the best info as it pertains to FJ's, on all of CZcams. Worth a look. Happy touring!

I have nearly all the down travel available at this time. The positioning and angle as it is sitting here has it pretty well maxed out in terms of extension.at rest. I actually believe the ride quality will settle in and improve further as I add weight and get a little more sag in the mix. That was my experience before and it is what I am hoping for going forward, I am huge fan of Tinkerers Adventure and vey appreciative of Kai's work! He actually helped me conclude that I would probably be okay with skipping the diff drop this time around and also that I could get away with not replacing my UCAs right away. Very seriously considering his front bumper but there is much to consider.. Thanks for the input!
