After almost 4 years, more than 90% of my videos were blocked world-wide by Nintendo. Over the past few weeks I have made the tough decision to not post any more compilations in the future. All blocked videos will be available in the playlist below, and all other videos will remain public on my channel page. If any video gets blocked in the future, I will not be reuploading it, so be sure to save what you enjoy. I still have plans to upload on this channel, continuing to focus on laid-back and relaxed content. If you want to hear more about my plans for the future, check the "More Information" section.

On December 24th, 2021, almost all of my videos were blocked by Nintendo. I knew that my channel would eventually be hit. Originally, I had planned to continue uploading, and keep any blocked video on a separate platform such as SoundCloud or Google Drive. However, I ultimately decided that if I were to continue creating content on CZcams, I wanted to make it my own, and not be at the constant mercy of a third party like Nintendo.
I will not be publicly releasing any more compilations. All of my previous compilations can be found using the playlist link above, and if they are blocked I am not reuploading them. If I decide to create any more compilations, they will be added to that playlist, but not publicly released on my channel. Between attending college and working on my personal projects, I do not have time to continuously reupload these videos. If you enjoy a video, make sure to download it and keep it saved somewhere.
As for my future on CZcams, I stated above that I want to continue delivering chill and laid-back content on this channel. While I have do not have my entire plan laid out, I can tell you now that the type of content I will be releasing in the future will be relatively short (5-15 minutes), and focus on a single topic of discussion. These videos will try to mimic the "video documentary" style in a much shorter and informal way, opting to focus more on a story than a point of persuasion. I hope to keep these videos relaxed; something that you can simply put on in the background. Outside of that, if you would like to see me play games and be stupid, I have both my second channel, EzonaterLater, where I upload edited videos of me playing games, as well as my Twitch channel (also Ezonater), which I hope to keep active as time moves on.
Aside from my CZcams, I will still be actively moderating and participating in my discord server, as well as the VGMixes discord server. If you have been inspired to make videos similar to the ones I have created on my channel, but don't know how or don't have the means to do so, I encourage you to check out the VGMixes discord server. It is full of friendly people who will be happy to help you create your first compilation (including me!). As for my Patreon, I will be keeping it up and making some changes I will be removing the 20$ tier, modifying tier rewards, and much more in the coming weeks.

Really sad to see you go, man. Your mixes got me through some tough times. Thanks for everything you've done
It's truly hard to appreciate what you have until it's gone. It kind of surprised me to find out that so many people relied on these compilations, and if things could be better, I'm sure thousands would continue to. These videos got me through some of the hardest of times for me, and I truly appreciate having had them there. In a way, this style of video could be completely replaced, but the unique way you found to seemingly create the perfect mixing in a way I couldn't myself. When I listened to these, I felt as though a list of tracks had been carefully hand-picked for me, and not just conjured up by some bot. Since I first found the channel, I started downloading Nintendo songs for myself and saving them to my computer. I thought I could make my own mixes, but the experience never felt quite the same. These compilations will always and forever hold a special place in my heart.
While the circumstances of this change are definitely awful on the surface, I think that it's ended up being a blessing in disguise. I am really excited to see what you do next, and whatever it may be, I, along with this amazing community I have had the privilege of interacting with, will be right here with you. Let's use the New Year as an opportunity to explore new ideas together, and show a certain company that this is merely a new chapter in the history of this channel.

Thank you so much for working so hard to upload these for us. Your compilations have gotten me through junior year, senior year, and finally my freshman year of college. As someone with ADHD, I had a lot of trouble focusing on my schoolwork. I felt like I was only worth as much schoolwork as I could complete... If I wasn't good at school, then I was worthless.
If I was a perfect student... a perfect academic, despite my many imperfect flaws... that people would look past that, and that people would care about me, and people would want to be my friend...
I tried as hard as I could to hide all of the things I enjoyed... all of the things that make me who I am... My passion for Nintendo, and how my entire world revolves around the childhood memories that they have brought to me. It just wasn't normal to love something so greatly without it coming across as "weird" or "obsessive" to others. But it wasn't an obsession. It was my childhood. They brought my family together, and made precious memories that I would never trade for anything in the whole world. Nintendo is the reason I got into anime, and how it sparked my love for Japanese culture. Nintendo is home. Nintendo has done so much for me, and I wouldn't trade that for anything in the entire world.
College is still really hard. But I am working on it. I am working on it one day at a time. I try to find time to play Nintendo, to relive some of those happy memories I had growing up... I just don't get that much time anymore. But listening to your compilations really help... bring back those memories of my family that I miss so much.
Ezonator, thank you so much for helping me get through some of the hardest times of my life. Please know that what you have done has brought so much hope to so many people...

Your playlists got me through my first year of university and the first semester of my second year. I largely attribute my academic success to how motivated I became while listening to your mixes. Thank you for all you did and it is unbelievably tragic to see you go. I have never seen someone with such an ear for how music goes together to create specific themes and tones, every video was a masterpiece. I found your channel back in 2019, in particular your first Bossa Nova Nintendo video, and it became such an important staple in my life and my work. It's impossible to forget the perfect vibe it had, that snow covered log cabin, the fireplace crackling in the background, and the little red cat that ran it. Many of your other playlists over the years would define my workflow and become a part of my routine, and I genuinely thank you for preserving them. Thank you for what you've created.

y'know, its been wild. i would never realize that i was a part of a certain youtuber's growth. and that youtuber and his community would, in a way, change me forever. i was once a generic guy living in a generic world chasing a generic dream. but the server and the people inside of it. wow they are amazing maybe even epic. i never realized what i actually wanted to be, but these people helped me find it. and yes i found it! i wanted to be an animator! and i might fail while trying to achieve it, but who cares? thats what a process it. and im here to say, thank you ezonater for those wonderful 4 years. its a wild trip and we all grew from it. i'll be having a college entry exam soon so wish me luck y'all!

I discovered your channel less than a year ago and have been a loyal listener ever since. You have the best and widest compilations of relaxing gaming music videos, something no other channel possesses. It absolutely pains me to know you got strikes and it really wasn't until in the last few days when I found out most of your videos were gone that I realized how fragile all of this was, that all this content could be gone in a flash.

Your work meant so much. Your compilations were so creative, purposeful, and assembled with talent. Listening to your compilations, personally, became major parts of my days’ soundtracks, as I continued in my life, and I was blessed to have songs bring back memories and to have songs come on at the right times.
I’m sorry you haven’t been given the generosity to continue what you do with video game music, but I am glad for what you were able to make happen while you could. Your community lives on.

Though i havent listened to everything in the list its still used to be some of my go to compilations especially in high school when times were wierd because of changes from covid. Even so i have had some great memories with your compilations So thanks for everything.
