For example, if you're creative but you can't sketch decently you're way less productive than he is with just a little creativity, because he can show his ideas better. Also, to do lettering creativity is not needed, but it still is paid a lot (not unusual for a parchment with only the name hand lettered to cost more than 100$, for a full parchment with letter miniatures and such price could go up to thousands of dollars).

I find it funny how many people say this isn't practical or that it's useless. If you look this guy up you would see that he is the artist who created some of the most famous logos and fonts. He is a big deal in the graphic design community.
