- In this series I am going to be covering all the characters from Borderlands 2 and Borderlands The Pre Sequel going over skill trees and gear. I'll be talking about what works and doesn't work but more importantly why it does or does not work.
In this episode I am covering Aurelia Hammerlock the Baroness.

What's peculiar with her skillset is that she has very few kill skills, that creates a very different dynamic of play IMO. I'm with you here: she is a very well designed character
Old video and comment but I will still like add: Presequel in general has the best creative/effective ratio out of all the borderlands games, including 3 and wonderlands. I feel like in the newer games its just a bunch of strong skills all mashed together, while tps and 2 required coherency and rewarded those who planned builds with magnificent results.
"Which is pretty frickin cool."
-Derch (while in Cold Money tree)
Well said :D
+Raziel'sghost 100% meant to say that lol
I finally figured her out when I realized she's a goddess with shock weapons. Shock and cryo = OP. Celestial baroness and shock weapons destroy everything. Anything that resists shock is usually weak to cryo and vice-versa.
honestly envisioning claptrap having the better synergy with his explosive skills + cryo enhancing all of them. but yeah, since she doesn't even need to use cryo weapons, between her action skill or her kill skill, another elemental weapon can be great.
I remember playing a campaign with Aurelia back in 2015/2016 and this video brings me back to those days! It was funny, my friends refused to use the contract mechanic because they didn’t want to be my “servant”
Lmao
The ice dart that freezes 100% carried me through the whole game
Aurelia’s tier 1 skill Duchess is in her “co-op” tree, but is low key her best solo skill. Duchess stacks persist, as long as you OR your Servant don’t die. No servant in solo play. So one of the balancing factors to keep it fair is gone. It’s basically 2 points for a full time 80% accuracy buff.
Note that Omni-Cannon's explosive damage gets even cooler with Custom Loads and Wintertide. Also, the gun is considered non-elemental despite that explosive splash, so her skill that buffs non-corrosive/incendiary/explosive guns still buffs Omni-Cannon.
"60%" shows damage about 6%
I'm glad someone made an in depth guide on my fav character
Shes so much fun. They did such a great job with the characters in the pre sequel.
I don't believe you mentioned it but magic bullet can actually give yourself a second wind if you can get a hip fire crit shot on a close enough enemy
Aurelia is definitely the best sniper class in the whole franchise, by a long shot 😏 Dare I say the best design VH overa.
Her synergy with both kinds of snipers (fast, slow) integrating with each other to make her damage cap and damage floor less dramatic, which was zer0s biggest flaw as a sniper, is also pretty smart since she got CA as independent skills with better design.
In the end they even integrated cryo in her trees and action skill which is an improved mix between maya sniping style and fade away passive damage, but more well constructed towards the sniping gameplay, which is pretty... Cool 😏
Great comment i appreciate the Ice Pun at the end ❄️
Since I'm so used to playing with Axton's Pressure in mind I kinda like Podsnappery, but compared to Pressure it really should do more for recharge delay because for Axton it's -60% while it's just -35% for Aurelia, especially since it's that far down in the tree.
Yeah if the numbers were better I would be more for it but they are not great at all. Ward is tier one and its alway on -40% delay
I use a com with plus 6 podsnappery and the aditional fire rate on the com,Get really low health,Then fire the plunket at the dummies until I get enough I never miss for boss killings
What gearbox really should have done is made her coop tree optional.
Either by having a few extra skills to branch with, or by giving a few skills added effects available only while playing coop rather than limited skills that are only active while playing coop.
I think a lot of the player base felt cheated with her limited possibilities.
It's SUCH a shame that her epic bitchslap skill had to be a freaking capstone in her coop tree.
It really should've been like Jack's "Inspire" skill, where the Baroness says something exquisitely sassy while bitchslapping giant monsters, and it wouldn't even have to provide any gameplay benefits to be SO worth that point.
I really wish her capstones in the Cryo and Co op changed,Like I like the idea of extra cryo on bullets but maybe something else like a Action skill augmentation like A crytal above her head that shoots out cryo like a beam type thing,Its can hit up to 3 enemies at a time,And every 10 seconds everything currently being hit by the shard would activate the fragmented rain and nova and winter fury
For co op I wouldve made it still a melee override but something like Mayas scorn but with cryo
She's a lot of fun, but dammit, she's just so fragile. Zero has deception, Nisha has her Law and Order tree and Celestial COM, but what does Aurelia have? Frigid Touch is great but... It's a Kill Skill. Aurelia doesn't struggle with mobs in the first place. Not too much anyway. She struggles with bosses like Eclipse, Denial Subroutine and others who don't spawn constant minions. Cryo can't freeze a lot of bosses and lots of boss either have no crit spot or have shield forms, or both.
If Cryo wasn't as OP an element as it is (if Cryo were more on par with Slag), I kind of feel she'd be regarded as the flimsiest, if not the weakest, of the glass cannons from BL2 and TPS. I mean, Nisha is glass cannon as fuck, but her Celestial gives her life steal on par with Frigid Touch whenever she's in her action skill, which does not depend on getting kills. And that's Nisha btw! The queen of kill skills!
What dont u play her sniper? If you play her well with good positioning youll never be in too much trouble. Shes a decent kiter and if youre good enough at no scope critting at mid to short range youll be aight.

Hello Derch, thanks for giving us solo players a detailed guide explaining which parts of Aurelia's skill tree are beneficial to solo players. I'm going to be using them in a minute :) I now have only one skill point left and look forward to seeing what you says gud on my next smoke break.
I even 'respect' just to take a screenshot in order to remind me later on (in case I forget), lol.
I think you mean re spec like redoing your specialization not respect, it's not a real word and I can't blame you for that but God did it make me giggle
It would of been nice if you went over all the good cryo lasers. Like I have a hard time taking large caliber when I'm using the absolute zero.. other than that great video. I love all these deep dives, extremely helpful
Who else thinks aurelia looks like fish mooney from Gotham
*sigh* well, I sure do now!
Omg I thought I was the only one 😂
She looks like a wizard 101 character
I love your detailed skill tree videos. So good and thoughtfully done.
Im so sad Aurelia is an enemy in Borderlands 3 as I kinda like her as an unwilling hero or like an anti-hero type character haha
I’m so sad that gearbox fucked up bad with Borderlands 3
wreck was so op. and then with legendary binder... oh man.
I loved the fire rate with boosted wreck,It almost made valdof OP/useless with the 100% fire rate
You forget to have Omni-cannon with jakobs grip when you were comapring damages, it's old hyperion so no mag-size and reaload speed bonuses there.
Also I'd like mention that her action skill works best with oxigenerator loonshine, it's super easy to keep Tranguility Oz kit full even in vacuum.
I like the snowball on her because the cryo healing is a lot.
Hey Derch, you forgot to mention magic bullet can also revive yourself if you are close enough to the enemy while down and hit a crit.
thanks for video dude, i just started the game again (baught the Handsome collection) i use to play it atleats onces with Claptrap as character, i love the guy, but he is NOT the greatest character to play with, to say nicly (IDIDOT🤣suicide bomb, aghr)). i do love Aurelia, she is cool and important i like her skills, but i already made some tree build mistakes and did not understand all of it (because my crappy English) so thanks for this video👍
On my first co-op playthrough of this game, my friend got super bored because the diadem was destroying everything so fast. I think I will respec into her co-op tree to make it more interesting this time.
I’m using her solo, and I have to work hard to keep up with the diadem. Between Bitter Riposte, Winter’s Veil, and the Action Skill, I am using less than a clip per engagement. It’s kind of OP. I love it. But I also don’t like the game to play itself. I haven’t made it to UVHM, so I’ll know then if her Action Skill is too autopilot
Damn derch. This is like aurelia the movie.
my sister watched an entire movie while i was watching this
I keep getting The Machine from world drops on my Aurelia. With it, she’s so offensively stacked I reached The Sentinel on TVHM at level 42.
Kinda wish they'd do something about Podsnappery, I enjoy that high risk/reward aspect with Axton since it favors an aggressive style. Not so with Aurelia unless they boost the numbers.
Magic Bullet can be amazing when facetanking with crits as you mentioned, but it really doesn't play nice with enemy knockback, when some of the more aggressive ones leap into the fray and simply fail (unaccountably) to get frozen by your shard.
Don't ask me to prove that some enemy movements makes them impervious to your action skill, because I can't (yet). It's true though.
On a side note, how many incendiary barrels are there in the game? Apart from the mission-specific ones you actually _have_ to pop, all of them draining your Avalanche stacks? SMH.
Still, lots of excellent design there, and she really is enjoyable to play.
I just wish we could make mobs our servants if they melee you
Fl4k was the inspiration?
It would be pretty cool indeed
I almost split this into 2 videos because it ran so long......
Who was Timothy? You mentioned him in you're top 3 playable characters
The Jack DLC character in TPS. Best char ever imo.
+Pablo Herrera the doppleganger, jacks look alike
+Derch oh that was his name? I haven't used him at all. I began my game using Neisha.
Derch I
Aurelia is my favourite character in tps
The welcome back in the second segment confused me only because I stopped the video and came back to it the next day. I am on mobile and it keeps where I left off. If you hadn't pointed it out I wouldn't have noticed and that confusion made me giggle.
Thanks for the video. I wish you would do one with the guns that are Cryo weapons? i’m 72 years old and I’m playing his games at least once a year I think you knew I like this character but I just didn’t know how to skill her up so I would always end up Quitting when you got into the later stages of the game. Anyway thanks again good job.🎉
I'm finally back the the PreSequel again after a long break. Been playing BL2 forever. Playing Sniper Dutchess now. I'm wondering if you could do a Scav build with all of her accuracy buffs.
That sure sounds interesting 🤔
Hmmmmm.... I wasn't gone for a split second. I was gone for 7 seconds.
Google Ads.
I love Baroness a lot honestly. She's in the top 5.
I like using the eredian com. the 250 % recharge rate with the shield of ages helps me tank lots of dammage. short summer is strong enought to take care of the big shield delay. she does not need the crit bonnus from celestial to deal a buck load of dammage.
Try building laser aurelia she's a cool laser aurelia
Thanks for letting me know wait for it isn't worth it compared to I never miss. There was over 100 k difference @10 stacks vs 1or 2 stacks of I never miss I didn't realize how much of a difference it made.
Ey Derch, thanx for your in dept vidoes!
I'd like to add that the Magic Bullet res from the nova also works on yourself
definitely my favourite character to play as.
The "wait for it..." skill works well with my playstyle. I like to snipe but I don't like wasting more than half a second aiming. So when I miss it's "intentional" and "strategic."
I completely agree with you, CA was virtually an exploit, personally I never liked it. The sad thing is that Sniper Zer0 doesn't work without it on UVHM.
Sniper Aurelia on the other hand is a character that I enjoy completely.
Sniper zer0 doesn't need CA he works fine without it. CA just makes him crazy good. Even 5-10 stacks makes him really powerful.
I personally prefer a blue harsh mistress with duchess for co-op
her skill trees seem so cool
I never used though I have recently just tried using her. Jack/Timothy and maya are my favorite characters in Borderlands
I'd say that if the Backhand instantly gave you like 15 of each stack, even without a servant, and if you could trigger it by slapping an enemy it'd actually synergize well and make people like her more? Or if it doubled stack gain too, or I don't know. It just doesn't synergize with much.
THANK YOU she's a better sniper than Zero! Truth!
I love Aurelia! The combination of Ice+Snipping is just unfair but the best part is screaming lame Batman&Robin Ice puns in Arnold's voice! "What killed the Dinosaurs......THE ICE AGE!" xDDD
Hey thanks for all the info it's help me a lot but still having a hard time. keep up the good work looking forward to more video take care gamet😎
Aurelia is in my top 3, also. I even put her above Sniper Zero in terms of fun factor for me.
The numbers on Long Range Killer (around 47mins in) were looking pretty bad, about 5%. You mentioned it could be bullet speed but I wonder if it's calculating the damage base on a single pellet of that skull masher
I started off playing Athena and am now playing as Jack and I really like playing as him. He has a lot of kill skill but I'm only at lvl 17 right now.
Madd Hatter I started with Athena too. Only got to lvl 14. Don't like her action skill. It seems good when you can get a lot of skill points but...idk.... Just wasn't fun. Something seemed off. I started doing a melee/gun build. I switched to Aurelia and I'm in live. The cryo is amazing
No Clappy Skill Tree Guide? +Derch
I'm playing TPS for the first time rn. And I'm using her. So far I'm Having a BLAST!! Going with her Huntress tree bcus I'm all about sniping. Can someone tell me if the pitchfork sniper works with this tree? since there's multiple bullets being shot so... So all of them may not hit the target.
I find it incredibly hard to pick frost tree skills to NOT pick up. But man all that gun damage from the co-op tree is hard to skip :)
Same with the sniper tree, thats a sign of good skill tree design IMO
True. But you gotta give up something so I normally go down the left side on sniper tree. Though nothing can explain the anguish when you miss at 300+ stacks of "I Never Miss". Time to simply log out when that happens :)
This is supposed to be about aueralia in the description but the title says krieg
I don't know what you are talking about it totally says Aurelia ;)
+Derch lol
I was up pretty late getting this ready, took forever to render and upload. I finished recording about 10pm last night, took about 4 hours to edit and render and this morning it was still uploading.
+Derch that sucks, you shouldn't work into the middle of the night, just delay until the next day, we'll understand
I almost waiting but I wanted to get it up earlier. I just got home to finish it up now, mmmmmmmmmm portilos
I don't think I'm gonna play her because it takes forever to level up past level 50 in this game and I'm already trying to get there with 2 characters, Athena and Nisha, so PROBABLY won't play anyone else, but it's nice to understand how she works through this video
Wan I was playing Athena and I don't like her skill tree much. It takes too long to get anything good. Maelstrom is good but it's only good to spec into later in the game. All her really good skills are really deep in the tree
I beat THVM with Athena and Wilhelm, NVHM with Claptrap. I didn’t like her bitchiness, so no thanks. But then I decided to try 1LIFE challenge runs, and couldn’t get anywhere with my standbys. So I loaded her up. Wow. What a powerhouse. Super fun to play. You get so much good stuff early. She feels powerful right away. I haven’t beat the game with her, so I’ll see what TVHM & UVHM are like, one I’m done with my 1LIFE challenge. But for sure won’t be using any other Vaulter to try that, anymore.
I was playing with Athena and just wasn't having that much fun and didn't like the game. So I switched to Aurelia and I received a 65 damage sniper and $35k to start. Weird cause it was my 2nd character. (Got 100 tokens with my first character)But anyway... I am having so much more fun with Aurelia!!!! Love the cryo.
She's rich, she always starts with purple guns and more money
The $35k and two purple rarity guns are normal for her. Aurelia was my 4th VH, and she is immediately powerful and fun. That experience of feeling powerful takes awhile with the others. She gets it right away.
Hey Derch, great video and guide, thanks!
Question though, does the damage buff from Wait For It... apply to every pellet of the Skullmasher? I ask because you have to hit every pellet for I Never Miss otherwise you lose it yet you don't get extra stacks for hitting all shots.
+Hmmt yeah any buff always applies to every pellet.
Thanks Derch
How does the accuracy formula work in this game? E.g. a doc's flayer with 56ish% accuracy at 350 stacks (+280%) of duchess would be 100% accurate? So shooting a slug basically?
There is bonus caps on everything.
Nice video, but 6k out of 90k is like almost 6% basically, so either the bullet speed does affect the range of Long Range Killer or Long Range Killer is just the red text ability of the God Finger which is not that great.
it is like the godfinger kinda but that wasn't the bad part, it was the base stats of the god finger
Also velocity and accelerate effected the godfinger
+Derch Maybe I wasnt clear. My point was that if Long Range Killer is affected so much by bullet speed that you only get 6% at the range you tested then its not that great. If it is not affected by bullet speed then its even worse.
Though I usually use the absolute zero and the machine I prefer being in enemy's faces with aurelia
the cap stone of cold money plus the life steal-- (and maybe servant skills)
10% is alot, would it not be to say aureila isn't a tank on her own terms?
her tankiness is comparable to Maya's tankiness. it relies on her ability to deal massive damage to steal alot of health.
+highnoon1987 it's nowhere near mayas, Maya can tank without lifetap
Derch i meant when it came to the method. they both can tank damage by utilizing a powerful life steal. infact i bet aurelia's life steal is more powerful BECAUSE she can't tank damage without it
I think she’s very hard to kill, between Bitter Riposte, Winter’s Veil, Whiteout and Short Summer, (besides freezing everything in sight). But you can die to a barrel pretty easily.
I’ve been attempting a 1Life challenge run, and she is for sure the most powerful and hardest to kill between her, Athena and Wilhelm, unless I slam into an unseen barrel, or one is exploded nearby suddenly. Her ability to recover is pretty bad.
I just got an avalanche shield from a vendor, is it any good, the damn thing have a 10.8 recharge delay
to be fair, she's also got insane health regains, but outside of the co-op tree, nothing for shield restoration, so its not entirely bad. plus its like 3 cryo shields in one, and she does well with hat.
but, on the flipside, she's got two skills in the cryo tree that do well with really fast restoring shields, bitter riposte and winter's veil, so you'd prefer something faster.
If your gonna where the avalanche which you can with her,Have a Creme com with bitter and frostbite 6 and 5,And have Short summer. It is pretty good of just keeping a bubble around you that is hard to withstand.
So you are telling me I have to mix-n-match if I want 2 skill trees, rather than fully upgrade only 1, I am trying to distribute them evenly (if possible) between - Huntress n Cold Money!
You can feel good about fully investing in one tree, and a couple things in another. Good trees for differing playstyles. Any mix n match is based on your playstyle tweaks.
@@christophercollins3632 I see, my firsta attempts was based with the 3rd tree, as we used to be a team of fours, so I can compliment the team n meself, however now I play solo and I guess the first 2 will suffice, thanks anyways ^^ !!!
@@X3MCTZN I have had a blast using her Cold Money tree. I was repeatedly failing my 1Life challenge runs, using my old standbys, Athena and Wilhelm. So I tried Aurelia. Holy smokes, Cold Money tree is good. I feel powerful immediately.
Her best solo skill is in her co-op tree, the tier 1 skill Duchess. Maxed at 2 points, it’s full time 80% accuracy. The balance of losing them if your servant dies is not an issue.
Bitter Riposte is amazing. Great defense. Plus, you can wait for a powerful enemy to hit you, and unload once they’re frozen. The freeze effect has always procced.
Avalanche stacks can shred. If you plan your progression, you can arrive at a boss with maxed stacks. You will have to backtrack to get everything, like Badass challenges, faraway chests. But I’ve crushed Red Belly, Bosun and Felicity by keeping moving.
I’ve yet to beat the game 1Life. I’ve gotten as far as Vorago Solitude. Only 2 combat deaths, the rest platforming.
She’s a tough nut to crack mobbing. But a barrel can ruin your day.
I’ve had the most fun with her. So far. We’ll see once I’m on par with my mid 50’s Athena and Wilhelm.
@@christophercollins3632 Thank you for breaking down your experience with her ^^
I am currently with Salvador Eridium Blight so far I've done every single challenge, and I am only on my first run ^^ !!
After this I'd probably start with Aurelia from scratch, and finish it alone.
Yep her cryo skills are the thing that made me choose her, that diadem of ice ( or I dunno what it is honestly) lays waste everytime is unleashed, and a melee dmg is dealt oOOH Boy it's like thorns aura it repells by itself :P !!!
BY the by currently I am lvl 27, and I've found a way how the exploit the badass points (yep no cheating, just glitchin :P ) and gun accurracy is 40 % dude even with only that it's just non-stop fun :P
@@X3MCTZN Nice. Having fun is what it’s all about. Aurelia gave me that powerful feeling from the get-go. It took until getting Wilhelm’s Vengeance Cannon. And once I had Athena’s melee capstone, she became so much more fun. Aurelia’s Huntress and Cold Money trees are so good, I could literally see maxing an entire tree as a smart build. For normal mode, Cold Money is S tier. Just Avalanche and Bitter Riposte and you’re set. Everything else is gravy. A delicious gravy.
I really think the fire from custom loads doesnt hurt avalanche, it doesnt seem to affect the stacks for me
actually it may , just not always. and u can catch on quicky before it decays
me *hears that skills revolve around character personality* "hmmm.... what about guns in TPS, everyone starts with guns suited to there play style. wait. . . SOMEBODY GET HER A BITCH SMG!!!!!!!!!!!"
This video was made a long time ago but I need to point this out, Aurelia is a sniper because she is sir hammer locks sister and she is a hunter, not because she doesn't want to get her hands dirty.
+RandomPerson the game designers who made her would disagree with you.
So your logic is that because she's a hunter she wouldn't get her hands dirty after killing the animals in question? She could've easily had servants deal with the bodies after she took a creature down.
Love the vids
How does frostbite work? Is it multiplicative to other elemental damage buffs(queen COMs, avalanche, etc.) or additive to those?
I find it to bad that the custom load skill only applies on the dammage of one pellet of the shullmasher, not sure why. this reduces its healing capacity when frigid touch is active. Would the skullmasher be op if custom load work on all pellets?
This is the earliest I've ever gotten here.
Same, I got here in less than a minute
good i see im give it a try
What?
I didn't care about her. I came to this video because I realised she was the sniper of the game after finding a class mod for her, and I like snipers - but I still wasn't super interested.
5 mins into this video and I was sure I had to play her in coop.
Ser Zeke Lionhart He goes into why that’s not true though....
I have a question about the High Definition class mod: you get as a reward for the 4th round in the holodome, but I only receive a green version. How do you get the purple version? (or at least a blu)Someone can help me?
You can apparently grind it but I have no clue
is the capstone of cold money very useful with non cryo guns? does it have a chance to freeze the targets or is it only damage?
Definitely can freeze with it.
Hey that's pretty good
considering the amount of skills she has to prevent her from being hurt in the first place or to just boost her survivability i wouldn't really call her a glass cannon, like she's definitely not a tank but by the end game she isn't really fragile, just pretty average durability wise. just a petty nit-pick (please disregard this/sorry if this comes across as rude). Great video btw!
Quality not Quantity and Next to Cleanliness? Darth Aurelia?

I always have my grudges when it comes to Snipers in video games. Like I'm fine with them for Single and Co-op play, but in Multiplayer or pvp I freaking hate them with a passion. Just because they make zero logical sense, like Call of duty for instance i still dont understand how the whole damn quick scoping works. That's why I say screw Snipers in Multiplayer or pvp and yes to Shotguns. I'm more of Shotgun type player but always a fan of AR, Smgs, and LMGs.
That said, i still have no clue what to spec for Aurelia at all. Generally i hate the Co-op tree because i don't play a lot Co-op plays manly because the servers are so damn poorly it doesn't run very smoothly at all. Sometime I feel like i just dont want to continue playing as Aurelia even though i have her at lvl 24 at the moment, it just the fact that I'm just gonna get down too frequently.
Her Cold Money tree is badass. And any weapons work. Her sniper tree and co-op tree have some good stuff that can boost anything. Do Torgue-o Torgue-o early for the Torguemada. The explosive damage pairs with the Cryo, especially Bitter Riposte. At Lvl 11, do Zapped 3.0, and Nina’s Ice drill mission, for the Cryo minigun and Explosive mines shotgun. These 2 can carry you through til lvl 20, np. Between these 3 sidequest rewards, and at least 1 rank of Bitter Riposte, more than half the game is handled quite nicely.
I'm starting tps and I don't no who to pick I like sniping and getting in poeples face I don't no who to pick help me out???
Wilhelm and Athena are designed with close combat in mind, and the Doppelganger is strong across the board. Claptrap can handle close combat if you juggle his Action Skill well(it restores his health, and he has a kill skill to deflect enemy bullets). At the opposite end Aurelia and Nisha are more of the Glass Cannon type of characters, though both have methods to alleviate some of that.
thanks I think nisha
timothy?
oh wait is it the doppleganger? my bad
...why can't we have these characters in borderlands 2?
yes, borderlands is a great co-op game but things like halo, gears of war and army of two are also great candidates
Having DA:I Vivienne flashbacks here
Krieg is the greatest sniper in tps
I love bl so much but its never been coop as its too easy.
Its a solo game always
Have fun with 4 player OP8 raid bosses, tell me that's easy after they're all dead
The enemies scale up when more players are in the game
Can we get this save? Too lazy to get my Aurelia to level 70.
just google "level 70 baroness save file borderlands the pre sequel"
I liked most of the characters in the Pre Sequel but I just couldn't play it. I do very poorly with jumping puzzles and just could not enjoy the game. There was just too many times you had to figure out some jumping path where any mistake resulted in having to start over. While I did make it all through one play through I just couldn't bring myself to go through it again. I just didn't have fun with it, but it is fun to watch someone else play it from time to time.
+T. Pistole there really wasnt just.ping puzzles in it
Maybe I am using the term wrong but having huge open area where you have to figure out jumping paths to continue the game forward and one missed jump killed you and you had to start the whole process over is something I never enjoyed. I liked the characters a lot but my frustration with that part of the game just sucked all the fun out of it for me.
+T. Pistole where were those? The only kinda place like that was viens of Helios but there you just hit a jump pad and you would land every time. The game had no jumping puzzles
Did I completely miss an easy way across in Helios, now I feel stupid? I remember having to jump from place to place 5 or 6 times to work my way across the gap. There was also the area in the claptrap DLC, and few other areas but they were very minor figuring out at most 3 or 4 jumps. If there is a easier way across in Helios than the way I did it I may have to revisit the Pre Sequel. Helios was the main one giving me grief as the only other one that would kill you if you failed was the one in the claptrap DLC and I can just ont do that one.
+T. Pistole it was like 2 jumps and one jump pad, not hard at all and it was one small map in the entire game
Zero is better because he could see weaknesses on enemy's
I would definitely argue against the Borderlands franchise being good as a co-op series. It's as bad as so many others when it comes to co-op. You either already have friends who want to play it with you (unlikely), or all your friends want to play Fifa and CoD (which is most people). You are not making friends through Borderlands as randoms are scummy people and if you aren't blessed with Borderlands friends, you're playing the game exclusively solo (like basically every other game).
"Oh, but when you do have those friends, the game is good." - just fuck off! Any game is better with friends around. For Borderlands to be considered a good co-op game, it either needs to get so popular that EVERYONE is playing it ALL THE TIME, or it needs to develop more and better social mechanics so that you're encouraged to make more friends while playing the game.
I wanted to know how good she is, but I hate her personality, so Ill never use her.
what about her personality makes you not want to play her? She is great fun and very powerful
Derch cant really explain. Her lines, the "snobyness", the Im better than everyone else, pretty much everything that makes her character unique. All the dialogue is drenched in them. I find it irritating and repulsive
Those vault hunters are the bad guys, worked for jack. Only Athena are "good", and Claptrap is kind neutral.
I dont like to be a evil char too, but this game is like that, what we can do about it ? xD ...
Timothy isn't exactly evil either, he just needed the money like Athena (plus he didn't really know what he got himself into).
Even Jack wasn't necessarily evil (outside of his treatment of Angel anyway, that was always inexcusable) in the beginning, he was just a bad accident away from evil (well two betrayals and a possible cataclysmic event away). Nisha had already gone over a similar cliff that Jack was destined for, Wilhelm really doesn't have a moral compass so I doubt he'd care either way about morality so long as he's paid, Athena was desperate for money (and also way too loyal to her employers. Remember, it took Atlas tricking her into killing her own sister to get her to betray the corporation, despite all the other evil shit it did before then), and Claptrap is just Claptrap.
