Photography prices for beginners: BUILDING PACKAGES

  • You're ready to start charging for your photography services and you wonder how to price photo services and products. You want to know how to price any type of photography job and know that you will make money at the same time. Learn how to price wedding photos and canvas prints
    You're ready to stop delivering digital files for weddings and portraits, but you don't know what to sell. Switching from shoot and burn to in-person sales doesn't have to be hard. I show my client how to price canvas photos, digital files, albums, and so much more.
    There are two main things that go into your prices:
    A session or creative fee (CODB & Profit)
    Products (COGS)

    We talk about ideas for what to sell our family portrait clients, like 16x20 canvas or metal photo prints and books.

    So you want to add maybe like I'm just going to be really conservative and add $100 for design time and editing those photos. And here's why...
    Theoretically, if you're selling a book, you're also selling prints and those images might go in the book so you might have less editing to do and a salesperson should make it that way.
    So if they bought a bunch of stuff, sell them a book that you've already done all the work for, you've already edited the photos on these other products or if they want a book, say okay, what if I give you these images?
    Even the digitals because they're already edited for another $500, like try to double time the same photos, so that's where you can be a little bit more frequently and with like how much editing it takes because again you can divide it by all the products they're buying but still like with the metal priests, so want to price it originally for like that's the only thing they're Ryan, she's still want to make sure you're covered anyway and then you can give them better deals or bulk discounts or bundling, whatever because you know you've already budgeted the full price of one item.
