How to Use Live Chat Help on Amazon Canada

- In this tutorial, you will learn How to Use Live Chat Help on Amazon Canada website to contact customer service live. If you shop on Amazon and need to get help, one of the best ways I’ve found is to use the online live chat help service.
I find this option convenient, but in the past little while, Amazon has been making changes and in fact, making it a little harder to get to a live agent when using the live chat option.
Initially, the process to get to a live Amazon customer service agent was pretty much the same. However, Amazon has made some changes to the user-interface, so I decided to create a separate video for the Amazon Canada website.
To use the live chat help on Amazon, follow these steps:
(1) Log into your Amazon account;
(2) click on the Customer service menu item in the menu up top;
(3) you will then see several options; click on the option that reads “Something Else”;
(4) you will see some more options and you will need to click on “Something Else”;
(5) you will then see some specific options, in my case, I clicked on “return a gift” (even though it was not what I was looking for);
(6) then you scroll down and click on the button that reads “I Need More Help”;
(7) finally, you will see an option for the live online chat and you will need to click the button that reads “Start Chatting Now”;
(8) you will then see a pop-up chat dialog box which will connect you to an agent. in the Live Chat option, click on “Start Chatting Now”.
Once you’re done chatting, click the “End Chat” button. Note that you can also click on the hamburger icon in the top-left corner and from the left-side panel, scroll down and click on Help.

No longer accurate The chat doesn't have a place to enter text anymore. They are horrible
Hi Emmanuel, yeah, they keep changing the online chat options. That being said, you can still get the live agent. Once the chat box opens, you will need to choose one of the preset options, even if it doesn't match the one you're looking for.
Then look for a customer service agent icon at the bottom of the chat box. Click on it and then choose Yes to "Do you want to speak to an associate?". You may need to click the option "Chat with an associate now" and then it will connect you to a live agent.
I don't why Amazon keeps making it so difficult to connect to a live agent. Anyway, hope the above works for you...cheers!
