  • In this tutorial, you will learn How to Cancel Automatic Renewal of Norton 360. There were some changes made in 2024, so I created this updated tutorial. I’ve been using Norton security products for many years, but I always get Norton at a discounted price.
    The auto-renewal price that you get from Norton Lifelock is almost always much higher than what you get at retailers like Amazon. You can check the links below to buy Norton 360 at a discounted price.
    Last year, Norton made it mandatory to sign up for the auto-renewal and that infuriated many customers. This time, they removed the mandatory auto-renewal option. However, if you have signed up and want to cancel auto-renewal, please follows these steps:
    (1) log into your Norton LifeLock account; (2) go to the MY SUBSCRIPTIONS tab; (3) click on this MANAGE RENEWAL link; (4) click this drop-down box and choose a reason for cancellation; (5) click on NO THANKS CANCEL MY SUBSCRIPTION; (6) and finally, click on this NEXT button.
    You will get a confirmation that your Norton 360 auto-renewal has been cancelled. Bear in mind that this doesn’t cancel your current subscription. You can also check my other Norton tutorials and review video (check the link below):

      Hi Karen, I've received scam emails from scammers posing as Norton. If you don't have a Norton subscription, don't even open the email. And if you do, definitely don't click on any links or respond to the email message.

    As others have said the "Manage Renewal" button is not there! It's mentioned in all their documents but apparently "there is a technical error"! I have used the chat bot to ensure our subscription is not on auto renewal...

      Hi Gwynne, I'm glad you were able to get in touch with Norton via their chat bot and confirm that your account is not on auto-renewal. Hopefully they fix the technical error soon.

    Hi Anthony. Please, i am missing manage renewal option. Only one is renew now.. I have take down nortron from all devices. Uninstall from pc and still it is not possible to cancel subscripion and renewal. Also i bought norton in electronic shop(card with code) so there are no billing info. If i dont cancel , can they charge me any way?

      Hi there, if you see something like "Renew Now" or "Activate Subscription Renewal", it most likely means that you are not enrolled in the Norton auto-renewal.
      Also, in the "Billing Information" tab if you don't have a payment card, there is no way for Norton to automatically charge you. So you don't have to worry about Norton charging you. Hope this helps...cheers!

    My issue is that my subscription lasts until September. But it wants to charge me the auto renewal at the end of July and the support lady says if I cancel the auto renewal it will stop my already paid for subscription now instead of letting it go the full subscription time I paid for.

    • @AnthonyGodinho
      @AnthonyGodinho  Před 4 dny

      Hi there, you were probably given wrong information from the Norton support representative. If your subscription ends in September, even if you cancel your auto-renewal now, it should not cancel your current subscription. I've done this myself without any issues.
      When you got your subscription, was it until September? Or you got an extension because your enrolled in the auto-renewal? Are you not able to cancel the auto-renewal yourself, in your Norton account? If not, I would suggest contacting Norton Support again.

    Anthony, please help! It doesn't work for me. After I reset the password it doesn't let me into my account but asks to Enter the 6-digit code from your authenticator app. And I don't know what the code nor the app is. I can't cancel the subscription and it just takes my money:(((

      @AnthonyGodinho  Před měsícem

      Hi Tina, looks like you may have set up 2-factor authentication for your Norton account. Do you remember when you set it up? When you set it up, you would have downloaded the Authenticator App through which you receive a 6-digit code when logging into your Norton account.
      Also, when you set up the 2-factor authentication, you would have received 10 backup codes that you can use when having issues with the authenticator app. If you can't find the authenticator app on your phone, you can try downloading it.
      Alternatively, you can try to contact Norton Support to see if they can help you. If not, get them to cancel your Norton Automatic Renewal, which I'm assuming is what you're trying to do. Do let me know if you have any specific questions and I'll do my best to help.

    it just seems absurd, i need to cancel a mandatory automatic renewal subscription. should be optional from the get go. very sly marketing Norton.

    • @AnthonyGodinho
      @AnthonyGodinho  Před měsícem

      Yes, very sly indeed. That being said, when I renewed my Norton 360 subscription earlier this year, they had an option to skip the auto renewal option. I'm glad they added it back.
