- Been given this mariner 3.3 hp outboard as a none runner so come on lets see what happens. thought about scraping it then felt sorry for her so keep an eye for part 2

Really enjoyed watching this. I know garden tools, but not Outboards, recently got given one, this is just perfect for me. I am so stupid, it was in gear and I thought it had siezed, so I need to do writer a bit to it now! things like th skill cord, just not familiar with it.
Choke is up and the fuel tap open is vertically downwards
Hey mate had a brand new 3.2lt light grey crowl seized for 15yrs.just cleaned it up piston n carb.ran sweet till I noticed it getting abit warm.Notice a small 5min hose from opposite shut off valve going into block if you would call it that.is that the water outlet like big motor because I notice abit of smoke coming out.Thinking it be some kind of exhaust.What do you think it is.

Clean up float needle setting n seatting.its not shutting off causing it to overflow.
Is the impeller inside the lower gear box? I have a similar looking motor which is a Mercury 3HP from the 1990s.

It needs to be rebuilt and as you say a new carb kit. The engine sounds OK, it's the rest that needs looking at. Junk the spark plug. 🍷🍺👍🏼
