I don't think the people attending this show quite understand or appreciate the sheer magnitude of the talent in Jacob and his band performing this in front of them. Very few people on this planet can play it as good as EVH live as Jason is demonstrating here.
The sign of a great artist is the ability to make it look easy. Playing more accurate than Eddie Live and Singing at the same time is a tremendous accomplishment. Been watching all of your videos and I hope the audience appreciates what they are witnessing.

Later on Eddie played sloppy, mostly because he drank. When he was young, he hardly missed a note.

@dino whitton agree there have been many clones...but none that ive seen play with the soul/conviction and down right confidence that Jacob plays with...Hes no clone..Just a guy who has put in countless hours of practice to be one of the best at what he does..check out his other vids...he's the real deal
@dino whitton dino...do u think Jacob was born with this level of talent?....as a guitar player myself i am well aware practice and a a lot of it got him to the level he's at...he doesnt need his own sound at the moment or to be putting out original stuff...he kicks azz doing whats hes doing...no need to argue the fact that..He ROCKS...period
z 74 Birdman there are just a few guys who can do it! Kenny Dudman and Pete Rubinetti, and Geoff Greyson and this guy but after all is said and done the vocals put it over the top!

For most of us, we have to be very deliberate and fully concentrate to capture the essence of Eddie and we all fall short in diffferent ways. The thing I love about Jacob is that he plays effortlessly, seemingly without a lot of concentration, yet nails pretty much every subtle nuance. What I didn't know until this vid is... he's got pipes! A virtuoso! Bravo!
And nailed the vocals too.

Jacob is incredible, I don't know how many muscians out there have tried singing while you play, but it's incredibly difficult , I tried it from the drum seat many years ago and trying to keep rhythm and sing or not singing like the rhythm your playing I couldnt do it and have never tried again, the drummer is no slouch either, very talented group of guys here. I hope they make it big , it's time for a new hard rock band to set the world a fire !

This is probably the best Van Halen cover of any song I ever heard. It sounds great, and the best part is that you all are being "yourselves" . Sure, there are some very good tribute groups out there, but some of them try "too hard". Before I knew this was a cover (I was only listening at first) I thought it was an actual 1978 performance based on the drum fill at the beginnig. Sounded just like Alex's kit in 1978, plus that's how they often kicked off their sets in those days
