Today I'm going to attempt to solve the 6 star Hanayama Cast Chain puzzle by Oskar van Deventer. As with all of the Hanayama puzzles, the secret to this is extremely intricate and precise. Much patience is needed... Enjoy!

They are factory made, but that's why they are affordable. The hand crafted ones are obviously quite expensive.
Dude.... Bad news. You didn't finish it.
You have to get it back to there each link is numbered 1, 2, 3. Yours was numbered 2, 3, 1.
When I did that puzzle it took a good half hour to get them back to stock.

I just solved it and i wanted to watch this video. Actualy yes the puzzle isnt finished yet. The no.2 piece should be in the middle

Ive got this puzzle and did it 1,2,3 i got it 1,3,2 that was wrong but fixed it ,im sure he saw that mistake and fixed it after

The Hanayama cast puzzles are great because they're well constructed and affordable. They run about 10-15 bucks a puzzle and really fun to figure out
i love how right after you say "dropping it is just the worst !" you drop it 4 times within a minute.

used to have a few tavern puzzles back in the day. great fun. tough as hell to figure out, as least for me, but once you know the solution it's super simple and hilarious to watch your friends try to solve.

Ha! I bought this the other day and I'm quite glad to see that it took you this long :) I got as far as knotting all pieces together and reversing that after a while. Then I looked up the solution.

Sweet vid Chris! You should get the Hanayama Key II puzzle and see how fast you can eventually do it. If you practice enough, you can do it behind your back in 6 seconds like I can. Thanks dude, you’re an awesome guy
I had bought this puzzle at a book store years ago. Those Japanese brand yanahama puzzles are great. I solved this one pretty easily but I have a few others, one I have yet to solve to this day.
The chain link I'm was fairly easy to visualize because of some of the smaller details on individual links.

Thank you very much for enabling me start a love hate relationship with puzzles. I watched the lotus video first and was amazed at the craftsmanship those puzzles have. I'm writing here as this was my first (fully) solved level 6 puzzle. Keep up the good work and the amusing tone of your content.
P.S. Give the Hanayama Equa a go too. I think it is one of the hardest puzzles you can buy.

Dude you rock. I found a bunch of hanayama puzzles at GameStop and I bought one of them. It's a lot of fun.
You got me into puzzles, so I figured i would solve this myself before watching the video. I had the #1 piece the opposite way, so it didn't fit in the notch easily. So got to a point where i knew what I had to do, just had to figure out how to get to that point. Finally did and solved it. Can't beat that feeling.

This was my very first puzzle and it didn't quite take me this long to finish, but its definitely nice when you wrack your brain for a solution and it comes apart.
