Experience of PSS Tuning in Indian Power System

This paper provides the Power system stabilizer (PSS) tuning practical experience for Indian power system. The paper summarizes the various aspects of PSS tuning, Regulation on PSS tuning, Practices adopted for tuning by utility challenges observed in tuning. At the end a procedure based on based practices has also been provided for guiding utilities.
This paper was presented during NPSC 2020.
