From a neutral point a view, the game could be seen as boring. But if you're Swiss or Canadian, you'd feel the tension throughout the game. Both teams, didn't take many risks. Personnally, I felt, the game was pretty even. But you scored, we didn't. That was our problem against Cameroon and Japan. Good luck to you Canada for the quarter finals !

Good result for Canada! Proud of the way the ladies are fighting through each game so far! Chapman and Buchanan were rocks at the back as usual. I felt like the midfielders took a few too many touches at times, but overall pretty tidy with the ball. Most positive game from the forwards, but still work to be done. Classy finish from Belanger, and McLeod did what she does best. Don't really see where some people are coming from when saying that the Swiss deserved to win. It was an even game with Canada, in my opinion, looking a bit more dangerous going forward. I gotta say though, Bachmann is a quality player. Crazy potential. Hopefully the Canadian ladies will keep improving! Bring on the quarter-finals, and GO CANADA!
I'm gonna miss Bachman! She was arguably my favorite player in this competition.

Seemed like a pretty fair game. No offence here, but the refs are going to make sure that Canada at least reaches the semi finals. Look at this, this is one of the few times I've seen a full crowd for a women's game. Not sexist or anything, but audience and broadcasting will plummet if Canada goes out early. Although Canada does have the capability of beating England or Norway, calls will be called in favor of Canada.
I've never really watched soccer but my country Canada doesn't seem like it takes the chances and is not aggressive enough.

Moni Poppaea Di Maria Not sure why you're saying the referee favored Canada? The Swiss are a good team, but Canada was superior physically. Football is still a contact sport, and the Canadians were using their strength (fairly) to their advantage. Not all fouls were called against both teams, but the only potential call that could've affected the outcome of the game was the one where a Canadian cross hit a Swiss player's hand in the box. That was not called, and could easily have been.
Were u actually watching the game ? They both had bullshit calls called against each other! Switzerland did a good fight but just isn't as good of a team as Canada is and never will. By Switzerland.
