wow, Ecuador were horrible, I get that some teams are better than others, but how are some of these teams on a similar level.
planb1215 that's because in some country's women's football is developed more then in other country's.
One country plays with pro's while another country is playing with amateurs because there i no pro league in their country. This gives big differences in quality. (It's like when Germany would play against Andorra...)

I was discussing that with my teammates today and they also mentioned the same thing. I knew the womens european leagues are highly developed, but I just assumed all the teams had pro players, but they also mentioned that a lot of them are just good amateurs. Thanks for the insight though.

It's because of teams like Ecuador that some people still don't take women's football seriously. Regardless, I'm delighted to see that the competition as a whole has been of an insane quality. Seeing how quickly the standard has been rising, I wouldn't be surprise to see a quality Ecuadorian team at the next world cup.
