The way he grab her hair an starts smacking her, though! LOL me and my older bro used to play this game all the time on SuperNintendo. Good ol 90 days..
i remember playing this for hours and hours back in the day, great fun. furthest i ever got was Shadow Boss, i remember calling my older brother in to watch me since he'd never seen him either. shadow boss then proceeded to wipe the floor with me, game over but i got a little pat on the back (which tbh was sort of what this game was all about for us as kids, just trying to survive getting as far as possible lol)
So many memories- remember playing this- as a 13/14 year old, back in 1994 Christmas! I remember playing it with Rachel Lucy, who I haven't seen, in over 25 years, who was my neighbour, upstairs! Good times- such a shame, so many bad things, have happened since.
The sound is much more involved here than in SNES and Sega versions. Every action has a sound, even hair pulling, and punches sound awesome. Genesis is almost silent and has basic bopps as punches.
i've only played the sega version but this one looks better. just seems like a more quick game, handling better, also i just prefer the appearance of this one, hard explain , just seems more stripped down , raw.
I used to play this when I was 10 or 11..and i would laugh so hard because of the toad's big hands when finishing a punch. 😄 thanks for uploading! Brings a lot of childhood memories.
+khmerbraveheart with the dragons you hold them by the hair and slug them in the gut. This has to be one of the few old games I played where it was ok to do male on female violence.
***** Hard to explain. NES version just causes better feelings. I like music, draw style, game atmosphere, the whole gameplay much more then in SNES version. And also gameplay in NES version much more difficult. Just try both versions and you will see
I'm so glad i kept Battletoads and BT & DD..... Found this one at a Funco Land in Minnesota back in the mid 90s. Had i been smarter or had a lot more money i'd have bought a ton of games. This is a special one.
The Mildly Shocked Sunflower [SSB4 Replays] I love bit music for this game and the pixel art seems a lot more on par on the nes version. I mean look at the genesis version of battletoads he looks like shit.
Best version. NES developers really knew how to push the system. Everything about NES version is better, music, gameplay, graphics. SEGA and SNES didn't come close to this, it looked sloppy.
Ok calm down man, the graphics, responsiveness and music is better on snes, but the difficulty is too easy in comparison. 1 stage is evens shorter a lot easier: 3rd stage. Stop with the nostalgic gasm please.
What i mostly like of the NES version is how colorful it is,SNES and Genesis the RatShip is grey and shallow,it was good in the NES because it was blue etc
Josue Lobos Actually today I just turned 29 :). So great memories from this game that I used to play when I was about 12 years old. Older games are indeed much better.
+Josue Lobos he is right i'm a gamer since 96 and i have played almost every game in those 20 years and yet still i love old games ofc i really like the new ones as well like bloodborne, mgsv tpp, dragon age and atm i'm playing uncharted 4 beta on my ps4 but still i love this game more than any other game out there its just my childhood.I grove up with it and i will die with it.
@@adrenalinex4 yes, it's definitely better than snes / genesis versions. all they have is "graphics" and huge clunky sprites that block the f-in screen. they don't even have half the sound effects ffs!
The Genesis version also has color change in stage 2, and the first stage has more animation to it as well (The color changing lights and the rotating screws as well), and lastly, characters used different moves at different parts (example, when the Lee brothers attack the enemy in Round 2) between the two versions.
In the version of nes with the music it has, the gameplay feels more exciting as well as the sound effects. When the bosses appear in the snes version, the music does not change how in nes, I watch the snes gameplays and they do not generate the same feeling as in the nes.
Agreed, it's actually amazing just what they managed to do on this thing. As for the 16 bit versions, this gets kinda tricky since both the SNES and Genesis versions had their things. SNES had much better sounds, visuals, and more animations than the others. However, that did seem to come at the expense of some of the sounds and music tracks the NES and Genesis had. Also came at the expense of the complete post stage scenes.
woah, talk about attention to detail, i just now see shadows in the background running before the next baddies show up on screen! around the 35:20 mark
Fired the game up a few days ago and was finally able to beat that blasted Dark Queen's Ratship in stage 4. Took me 2 continues as the machine gun section is just nasty to destroy.
What Genesis had that SNES didn't. End stage music. Character select music. Music speedups on certain parts. Boss music. Queen peeks out at the end of stage 3 like NES. Complete post boss scenes like NES. Shadow Boss has his teleport and goes out the same way he did on NES. Certain sound effects, like the one for the electric rings and such is on here but not on SNES. Stage 3 has it's color changes like the NES, and most likely for the same reason.
The way he grab her hair an starts smacking her, though! LOL me and my older bro used to play this game all the time on SuperNintendo. Good ol 90 days..
imagine this in modern games in 2021 , devs would be fired in a second.
i remember playing this for hours and hours back in the day, great fun.
furthest i ever got was Shadow Boss, i remember calling my older brother in to watch me since he'd never seen him either. shadow boss then proceeded to wipe the floor with me, game over but i got a little pat on the back (which tbh was sort of what this game was all about for us as kids, just trying to survive getting as far as possible lol)
0:00 freaking in love with this music!
Battletoads & Double Dragon (1993) was the best game of my childhood. The graphics and gameplay are far ahead of their time.
That is an awesome helicopter, it flew to space!
Одна из лучших игр на денди. Саундтрек просто бесподобен. Скачал себе и на комп, и на телефон. Слушаю периодически
NES music like immortal ❤️❤️
when I was a child I couldn't complete this game and this guy did it so easy, well done
So many memories- remember playing this- as a 13/14 year old, back in 1994 Christmas! I remember playing it with Rachel Lucy, who I haven't seen, in over 25 years, who was my neighbour, upstairs! Good times- such a shame, so many bad things, have happened since.
This game needs to be on the Switch right now! This was one of the best NES games ever!
Music in 3 stage is great
VERY FUN GAME! Graphically its incredible for an NES!
The best looking nes game in my opinion
The sound is much more involved here than in SNES and Sega versions. Every action has a sound, even hair pulling, and punches sound awesome. Genesis is almost silent and has basic bopps as punches.
Esse jogo é fantástico em qualquer plataforma. Sou super fã dele
Amazingly, the Battletoads series maintains its high difficulty.
Dark Souls of my childhood.
+Enclave Trooper battletoads-3 for nes was harder
It's not that hard bro.
Did you know that Battletoads was chosen the hardest game of all time
Que nostalgia, el mejor juego de mi infancia
Epic moment !!! 13:28 👍 😀
Best Moment!
como en el video del Cuarentón Arturo!
I still love the punch sounds..... KOOSH KOOSH KOOSH KOOSH THOMP!
The main music theme of the second stage reminds me the speeded up opening riff in Nightlife by Foreigner.
i've only played the sega version but this one looks better. just seems like a more quick game, handling better, also i just prefer the appearance of this one, hard explain , just seems more stripped down , raw.
You made this game look coolest thing in the world. While playing this theres no time to look for details this game has.
I used to play this when I was 10 or 11..and i would laugh so hard because of the toad's big hands when finishing a punch. 😄 thanks for uploading! Brings a lot of childhood memories.

AHAHAHAHA!
Hardcore hair pulling. Ass kicking and more hair pulling.
He knows how to treat the ladies right.
+khmerbraveheart with the dragons you hold them by the hair and slug them in the gut. This has to be one of the few old games I played where it was ok to do male on female violence.
Mistress Kixen I know right?
Now imagine being a kid and seeing it for the first time while playing. Experience of a lifetime ^^
I'll admit, that animation turns me on more than it should.
I always remember those moves and laugh. How brutal they were but freaking funny at the same time... that sound when pulls the hair xDDD
Momento épico de mi infancia !!! 13:28👍 😀
que!? XD
Que?
NES version is much better then SNES
***** Hard to explain. NES version just causes better feelings. I like music, draw style, game atmosphere, the whole gameplay much more then in SNES version. And also gameplay in NES version much more difficult. Just try both versions and you will see
NES and genesis version are pretty good. SNES version is a bit buggy.
Marcel Weber Not really but of all of them I like the original better (the NES version).
For some strange reason it seems much faster than the SNES version. It should be the other way around since the SNES CPU was faster than the NES.
+Mr. JH True. The NES version is faster and the controls are much better. The SNES version is a bad game, while this one is awesome.
I'm so glad i kept Battletoads and BT & DD..... Found this one at a Funco Land in Minnesota back in the mid 90s. Had i been smarter or had a lot more money i'd have bought a ton of games. This is a special one.
excelente juego de mi infancia muchas felicidades un buen vídeo gracias
The snes version was my childhood...that soundtrack was on another level
The combat in this game was so satisfying to me. Especially hitting guys with the stick!
6:45-12:25 Proof that even the NES can handle fully 3D backgrounds and floors! (And even objects in 10:40-12:20)
NES games from '91 on are works of art.
One of my favorite NES games. ˇˇ
Un buen gameplay. No como es Ios los malditos locos que juegan rápido, así se disfruta un juego.
Damn that Battletoads Double Dragon hybrid intro is fucking amazing 😍
Better then 16 bit versions on snes and sega
I know right the SNES and Sega versions are incredible!
yes..
nah
I find the NES version more of a technical marvel than the SNES/Genesis versions, so that's why I prefer that version
The Mildly Shocked Sunflower [SSB4 Replays] I love bit music for this game and the pixel art seems a lot more on par on the nes version. I mean look at the genesis version of battletoads he looks like shit.
This game is always fun. But if you play 2 players, make sure you pick Game B so that you can't harm the other player. Makes it a lot more fun
Dud game a more funny. I was always beat my brother's jimmy
those ninjas on the missile mission were so freaking hard. but once hit they're a piece of cake
AWESOME GAME, NES BEST VERSION EVER
Best version. NES developers really knew how to push the system. Everything about NES version is better, music, gameplay, graphics. SEGA and SNES didn't come close to this, it looked sloppy.

@@RealBigDeal22 in my opinion, nes music is better than the others
Dylan Martínez exagerado, SNES es
Mejor en todo
The way these guys beat up.on the ladies with the whips was crazy
@7:17 - Was surprised NES could do a 3D floor.
40:48 nice hit :)
Bimmy should be an unlockable character! 🤣
The sound when he kicks and punch bro 😂😂😂 one of the best games on nes!
2:42 Marevlous story telling for the NES, both script and continuous sprite animation.
Truly impressive how close this is to the 16 bit versions!
What i mostly like of the NES version is how colorful it is,SNES and Genesis the RatShip is grey and shallow,it was good in the NES because it was blue etc
This game is the real deal. Mega fun, full with interesting details. Nowadays games does not have anything of this.
you must be one of those 12 year olds who thinks old games are "super epic xD" and that new games suck huh
Josue Lobos
Actually today I just turned 29 :).
So great memories from this game that I used to play when I was about 12 years old.
Older games are indeed much better.

I will always love and adore the 5th stage because of its marvellous and magnanimous music.
It was ultimate music love at first sight.
NES version is great because it uses the Battletoads' mechanics. It's like a easy version of Battletoads. The fourth stage is like a CGA DOS game.
It's like I'm 11yo again)) Thanks, Dude!
Battletoads and double dragon were my favourite 2 games back in the day, then this came out, almost blew my wad.
this was better than the snes version
Agree 100%
no
@@adrenalinex4 yes, it's definitely better than snes / genesis versions. all they have is "graphics" and huge clunky sprites that block the f-in screen. they don't even have half the sound effects ffs!
xamanto nahhh you're just an NES fanboy.
Nope
wait the moon is destroyed. that alone will forever cripple the earth. the dark queen won from the start.
Totally
Шикарная игруха!
BGM changes on NES version, but SNES BGM continues. NES version is better at that point.
This was my soviet childhood!
10:40 OH, GOD, IT'S HAPPENING AGAIN
I only played and beaten the SNES one but I looking forward beating this version and the genesis one.
Woooow! Awesome skills! :-]
The toads would kick the dragons asses any day.
I loved grabbing the enemy and shooting those knees to their faces lol
The beginning part of the title screen reminds me a bit of Ac/Dc's "Shot Down in Flames"
My favorite Nes game 👍
Could never finish this game, hard as shit, guess i should try again, its been like 15 years...
The Genesis version also has color change in stage 2, and the first stage has more animation to it as well (The color changing lights and the rotating screws as well), and lastly, characters used different moves at different parts (example, when the Lee brothers attack the enemy in Round 2) between the two versions.
Jak ja to uwielbiałem ;) ✌💪🇵🇱
28:08 Jajajajajajaja Get the fuck out of here !!! Sends him to fly away with just one Punch.
Nostalgic
The way the toads kicks the girls' ass lmao
Nice soundtrack!
до чего же ахуенные игры делали ))) никакой тебе политики , просто игра
How hellicopter flyed to space? )
Ghost With Nothing To Say my bear wrote this. Its Russia!
Leoverden Leo
Game logics never make sense.
i loved this game!
this game use dto look so high tech to me..
In the version of nes with the music it has, the gameplay feels more exciting as well as the sound effects. When the bosses appear in the snes version, the music does not change how in nes, I watch the snes gameplays and they do not generate the same feeling as in the nes.
Batletoads & Double dragon (1993) is music 2 stage > Bucky O'Hare (1992) is music "Red Planet"!
I am so sorry I never had an NES as a kid, and this game is definitely one of the biggest reasons.
one of hardest game ever!!!
ahah this game is easy go try some like battletoads or adventure island I
Battetoad's hardest game
Very hyper playing this game
Best NES action game in 1993
Am I the only one who noticed the Dark queen was the only character who didn't have a battered and bruised face like the rest of the baddies?
the nes still amazing
Is it me, or does the bass in level 3 start to de-synch after a while? :v
The best game on nes
The dynamics and duability of this game looks a lot better than the first "Battletoads". At least in my opinion.
Never reached the maximum stage until now. If NES at that time had memory card, that would be very helpful.
Dude, why aren't you ever using the missile in the spaceshit level ?
Great graphics for any nes game.
woah, talk about attention to detail, i just now see shadows in the background running before the next baddies show up on screen! around the 35:20 mark
that fail at 10:30...LeL!!!
Bonitos recuerdos :3
AWESOME!
Salvei o jogo quando tinha uns 14anos!! 👍

Great game
My respects to you because destroy the ratship without Missiles
I remember this game but I cant tell if it was the snes version or the nes version that i had ; /
The dark queen creeps me out in level 3
