I like the little swivel motion on the feet... I tried sometime, but it never worked out for me, at least not in the fast speeds... for the intermediate to fast, like here, it may work, gonna try it again. What are the mics ? All Roland ? Nice view from behind, foot cam would have been nice or from above, but I like the steady angle... better than the epileptic 3- 4 camera switches on some other videos...
In my opinion you shouldn't try to force the swivel motion. At least I personally discovered that the motion comes automatically at a certain tempo with normal single strokes, without focusing on it, but maybe that's just me. I can also recommend to watch Krimh's video from Extreme Drummers Universe on this topic!
hab grad gesehen das du deutscher bist, dann lieber so ^^ Ja, ich kenn das Video von Krimh. Swivel Motion fühlt sich für mich einfach mega unnatürlich an, aber das ist ein generelles Problem bei mir: schnelle Single Strokes mit den Füßen. In schnelleren Passagen greife ich immer auf Heel-Toe Double Strokes zurück. Manche sagen mir ich soll lieber das perfektionieren anstatt ne neue Technik zu lernen, aber ich denk mir: Je mehr Techniken man drauf hat, desto mehr Möglichkeiten...
Auf jeden Fall, Vielseitigkeit ist nie verkehrt! Habt meiner Meinung nach trotzdem beide recht. Das, welche Technik man benutzt ist sowieso komplett Geschmackssache, ich habe früher auch Heel-Toe benutzt, ist finde ich viel einfacher als Single Strokes bei schnellen Tempi, ich habe aber irgendwann gewechselt weil man bei der Technik für mich einfach zu wenig Power hat. Jedenfalls, egal welche Technik du verwendest, es ist immer wichtig langsam und möglichst genau (am besten mit Metronom) anzufangen und sich dann schmerzhaft langsam über Monate hinweg zu steigern. Das hört man so oft und hängt auch mir langsam zum Hals raus, aber es stimmt einfach, daran kann man nichts ändern. Du musst dir einfach denken je mehr Arbeit du reinsteckst, desto besser bist du später auch, und wenn dus dir da einfach machst betrügst du dich selbst :D Das ist zumindest so mein Ansporn.
ja, das ist das schwierige... :/ hab mal n abo da gelassen bei dir ^^ Hast du irgendwelche speziellen tipps, techniken, übungen (pyramide, sitzhöhe, eher näher ans drumset ran oder weiter weg, fuß mittig oder bei schnellen parts eher hinten aufm pedal, etc. ?)
Dankeschön! Hocker höher stellen hilft ziemlich finde ich, höher als man denkt dass man braucht. Der Rest sind alles Sachen die man sich automatisch aneignet wenn man nur genug übt. Du merkst irgendwann schon von selbst was klappt und was nicht :D
