All of you are believing the lies and attacks against Harry & Meghan. Why? Harry was the star of the royal family. He's got his mother, Diana's personality. Moreover, he has leadership skills and charisma. Will & Kate pale in comparison, but are embiggened by Will's status as heir to the throne. Bottom line: H&M will be fine, and they are much better off out of the gilded cage. Why can't the British media stop talking about and attacking the Sussexes? Because they are a meal ticket for the royal rota.

He had 24/7 security of Gurkhas with him. He was never and would never have been allowed to be in any real danger. As for Invictus Games, they were created with the help of the Buckingham Palace and Haz's then Private Secretary Edward Lane Fox (I think, that was his name), who were tasked with improving H's image following a string of scandals in previous years.
Look at this year's Games: all PR was about H&M, the latter in particular: endless fashion parade of carelessly chosen expensive outfits, while attending events for veterans! Basically no spotlight on veterans and their stories, which is what PR should've been about. The reason why IG was so successful while under BP's watch is because they know what's important. With Hollywood PR teams that H&M employ, they don't think about veterans the same way as BP did. Ah, let's hope that the documentary about IG on Nflix, will be somewhat better.

And the Queen did more for Meghan than she ever did for Diana . So

Dr Ludwig Guttman held the first paralympics for veterans from Stoke Mandeville Hospital in 1948. The Warrior Games did not start until 2010. Harry did not 'start' the Invictus, the Royals were behind it because they didn't know what on earth to do with him. Intelligence is not his forte, and this was the perfect vehicle for him to front. He has never given Dr. Guttman any credit for his inspired idea to ensure veterans became focused, inspired and challenged.

Harry was NEVER put in danger in the war like the Invictus warriors. There’s no way he would’ve been put near bombing or gunfire, so his military career is anything but impressive as that’s not what war is really like. These other soldiers literally put their lives on the line and there was a good chance of injury or death. No PTSD for him because he was never stressed as he knew his life more guarded than the two countries at war.
Also, why does Harry and everyone else forget that William lost a mother at a young age too. Everyone treats it like just Harry had to walk behind her coffin and was so devastated. William was very close to his mother and his grief is never acknowledged because he never whines about it like Hazbeen does.

Meghan Markle is struggling for relevance now because she had wasn't relevant before.
She had no relevance coming into the RF which is why there’s been such suspicion on her Megxit motives. i know she claims the term Megxit is misogynistic but it’s not - it’s accurate.
She was a nearly 37 yr old actress who’s biggest
success was a supporting role in a little known cable tv drama.
its also ridiculous to state that since age 21 she successfully earned her own money so she was suddenly begging her husband for money. The way Tina Brown made this sound is ridiculous.
Meghan's vulgar displays of wealth are the epitome of "new money" - she spent £1M+ on clothes in the first year of being with Harry.

The one thing that is truly grating is that H&M wanted to leave the RF (which is totally understandable) but keep monetizing off of the titles- which Meghan does obnoxiously - Harry was born into it, she wasn't. She's all for women's empowerment, but is dependent on her husband's title for any future successes. So much of this has been said to excited audiences while she represents the entire UK and Commonwealth.
Now being an ex Royal (but man, she flaunts her title) she has enthusiastically referred to the way she worked to earn and pay for everything...

The one good thing Meghan did for the royals was help take the onus from Camilla. Whatever can be said of Camilla, none can deny that she has toed the line. The contrast to the behavior of Harry's bride is striking, an actress who refused to play her part. I don't think she fully understood she was the wife of Number 6, forever in the background, forever a supporting role. If she thought she'd be allowed to steal center stage from the main cast, she was woefully mistaken. I think that was her primary reason for exiting UK, in search of a spotlight she could call her very own. Sadly for Meghan, she's an over-the-hill actress with nothing to her credit but the Windsor surname. In her case, that holds little more than gossip column value in the USA.

He knew how to make it about others, but Meghan, with the makeup artist, the extremely expensive clothing never worn again, seems to be about herself. Which kind of makes sense when you think about it. Harry would try to support his wife as much as anyone, and of course more. But Meghan can't find her humility, and that is what makes the popular royals popular. Sophie Wessex is a good example, as is the Princess Royal. They make sure the people they meet feel important and that their work is important. It is not their fashion show and photo op. Much of what Anne and Sophie do is overlooked by the press.

Individuals are affected differently, and it would be a very fortunate individual indeed who could rule out one thing, such as alcohol, and not suffer from it anymore. Meghan tries to promote herself as somehow an expert on whatever advocacy she gets into then expects to be paid for her babbling (Spotify) or her service in charitable causes. She clearly is not an expert without the training or education or experience to make her credible. She just relates her personal anecdotal experience over and over to justify her passion for this or that.
Ironically her “business model” of relying on her personal-experience fueled passion for this or that cause is perfect if she had worked as Royal patron of the charities she chose to be patron of. Nobody would expect her to be an expert (let alone get paid) and everyone would be admiring her efforts.

Tina Brown lives in America and sorry the education level of the average American is limited to their own country. The monarchy is the centuries old roots of the British they love their traditions and adore their Queen and the RF. The monarchy is a form of government that makes it so interesting because it gives us a mixture of reality and fairy tale. Elizabeth II is the head of state of 30% of the entire world population. WHY DOES THE AMERICAN VOYEURRISM NOW HAVE TO RECHECK AND PUBLISH INTIMATE DETAILS ABOUT THE MEMBERS OF THIS WORLD-renowned QUEEN and her family members? THE MONARCHY HAS EXISTED FOR HUNDREDS OF YEARS AND IS SO MUCH MORE THAN WHAT TINA BROWN OFFERS: She should start studying the history of the monarchy and ask herself why 2 billion people turn on their TV to watch live at Royal Events.

I think you are right, they could have stayed in the RF while gradually extending their reach and becoming proficient in the areas they were not well versed in. But they jumped ship too quickly. Meghan came on the scene from seemingly nowhere, unknown to most of the world, and saw in Harry’s Royal connections the opportunity to launch her now also famous (but still largely unknown) self into the stratosphere. It was their downfall. Meghan wasn’t established in any of the areas they so precipitously launched themselves into, and Harry, famous for being a nice Prince, was not equipped to function in the ‘real’ world of everyday work and money making deals. It was doomed from the moment they left the RF; but it was the Oprah interview that sealed their fate. They now look untrustworthy and indiscreet, and made their brand toxic.

Linda what the hell are you talking about? Who the hell was Kate, Diana, or Fergie when they married in? Meghan was more famous than these three ladies put together at the same time of their marriages. The only thing Kate was known for was as the put upon girl friend who waited ten years. When Meghan married Harry she was already a millionaire in her own right, a working actress, and a world traveled ambassador and philanthropist. Meghan was making $50k an episode on Suits yet Kate hasn't made $50k in her entire life. When Harry married Meghan he was a ten year veteran who served in combat twice and had created both the Invictus Games and Sentebale while still carrying out royal duties and oversea tours. Neither of them were ne'er-do-wells sitting around on their butts. At the same time William and Kate were still considered part time royals with full time funding and doing little to no work. Since leaving being full time royals Harry and Meghan have succeeded on the world stage in their work and charities. I know you haters are mad they are successful. Mad that their NY tour and The Hague ventures were rounding successes and they were much welcomed. Mad they could afford a nice home on their own. Mad they have been accepted in their new community. Mad Meghan won her lawsuit. Mad they don't need the royal family. Mad the Cambridges and the Wessexes tours were abject failures. Mad that Earthshot and the Christmas special were television flops. Mad Kate can't string two words together with out mumbling. Mad the only emotion William can muster is incandescent rage. And that's why you tell the lies that the Sussexes aren't doing well. You must tell yourself that lie because you can't handle the truth. You picked losers...live with it.

Your comments on Harrys military career is somewhat askewed as he admitted himself that Invictus games were taken directly from the US "Wounded Warrior Games" which H was asked to open in 2013 . The Wounded Warrior Games were founded in 2009/10 by General Gary Cheek and John Wordin while doing a veterans recovery bike ride. Also William and Kate gave H One million pounds to further the Invictus games. In 2020 as Captain General of The Marines H turned down a request to attend a memorial for Marines killed in a bombing in 1989 in Deal, Kent, England in favour of attending "The Lion King" premier with his wife much to the horror of the memorial organisers. Perhaps a book on H and his time in military service would be enlightening for the general public or perhaps listen to Trevor Coult MC (military cross) on CZcams.

      Very lightweight in some chapters.
H and the army years is a credit to the army in that noone has done a hatchet job on the Prince by relating some of the alleged stories floating around. Loyalty must be to the establishment NOT H.
Similarly the Invictus debacle is underinvestigated.
On the positive, stories about the brother's early years bonding could bring a tear to a glass eye.
All this and I am only half way through.
