Everybody hates character. Like, seriously? Do they prefer the Transformers as background explosion tools rather than actual characters? I thought every fan would want the actual Transformers characters, that being the Cybertronians and not the humans, having character with heart and soul with feelings.
They give Charles and Erik vibes because the way they interact each other is like two best friends and way too far off from the Professor X and Magneto that they will soon become . It just shows how two friends can be one the biggest rivalries.
Not to mention people, not knowing that Optimus prime was originally Orion Pax 💀 or let alone that there is other transformers media outside of the Bay movies
Apparently the Comedy in the Trailer is nowhere near as front and centre in the film. The Writer stated that they mainly included Comedy in the Trailer to show the bond between the main cast, as they had a blast writing the Characters.
Well that's good, there's a certain balance to having humor but also serious weighty moments in animation, where comedy doesn't interrupt. Movies like spider verse and lilo and stitch are great at that, hopefully this movie is able to pull it off as well!
I hope that's the case. Alot of people I've spoken to about the trailer said the comedy turned them off the movie, heck my uncle couldn't turned off the trailerhalfway through

Honestly the good faith effort is there from the actors, the animation, and the directors. After that you have to give it a chance! These people are putting their blood sweat and tears into a franchise and theyre actually respecting the franchise's history. That says a lot these days

It is confirmed that Peter Cullen will be voicing Optimus Prime. Chris Hemsworth was brought in for Orion Pax specifically, while Peter Cullen will voice Optimus when Orion does become a Prime later in the film.
That’s amazing, I was actually really hoping they would switch VAs mid-movie, but if that’s the case for op, what about Megatron? You think they’ll switch to someone else, or maybe they just put a voice changer or something.
No idea if Megatron will be voiced by Frank Welker, but considering how Bumblebee sounded a lot like Frank Welker when he said “Badassatron” in the trailer, the possibility is there. Though, that said, it’s possible that was just Keegan Michael Key doing a very deep voice that happens to sound like Frank Welker.
I will never understand people hating the Transformers movies for having humans at all. I understand not liking it focusing too much on the humans, I get that. But Transformers have nearly always had humans whenever they're on Earth. Humans are the reason they had to be robots in disguise in the first place. When they take place on Earth, it's bound to have Humans.
I don't mind having human characters in Transformers media, I found the human characters in ROTB pretty likeable, it's just when they're annoying, uninteresting, obnoxious, or slow down the plot (like in some of the bay movies) when it becomes a problem
Honestly the bayverse humans get too much hate. Lennox & Epps were epic if their fights, the parents & Simon’s were hilarious and Sam’s an ok main human. At least he’s not Miko from TF prime. Both Bumblebee & ROTB had pretty boring humans tho
I hope that this movie is very fun and just mostly light hearted but slowly starts taking a darker tone like how cybertron went from the golden age to war
Ngl I actually found it to be pretty funny, it gives me a lot of TMNT: Mutant Mayhem vibes. I personally am liking the Transformer franchise so far from what I’ve watched(the first one, bumblebee, and rise of the beasts.). I especially like the casting with this movie, hopefully this *ONE* lives up to the hype.

Like, you want to talk about how it was originally let’s go to the original cartoon from the 80s, in fact, actually let’s go to the original comics. It’s fine to call yourself a transformers fan and only watch the bay movies but they cannot be talking about how it’s supposed to be and how it was originally if all they have seen are the bay movies. Yo, not everyone is a hardcore Transformers fan to do some research after watching a Transformers related media. Give us a break. We don't have time to look too deep into the lore that's expanded in a comic or cartoon. Only time to see what's presented at out faces at the moment. Transformers grew too much there's thousands of medias to look into. Up untill now, I don't know if there's more. I only knew about the Cybertron trilogy because of Legacy Cybertron Starscream few months back.

I had low expectations, but the trailer had me pretty hyped. Just binged the series like a week ago, and though all of them were good, the original 3 movies have still been the best for me, so maybe this one could live upto the new expectations...
Fun Fact: The movie takes place before the golden age of Cybertron, which means this is gonna be way before the war would even start, way before the corruption and greed take place. I'm talking more than 10 million years ago if this is taking the G! storyline of course.
They should've just kept with the transformers prime movie that they were gonna make that was the story ratchet or optimus told us about how optimus became optimus leaving behind the name Orion pax to become optimus prime
We just want a serious War for Cybertron style movie, essentially the first 5 minutes of Bumblebee but a trilogy... instead we get Bad Bots : Cybertronians of the Galaxy.
Honestly the only thing that's bugging me is the faces being weird. Like, it would have been nice if they looked closer to transformers prime or even the Netflix series. These really round faces just make it seem like the transformers are just people wearing costumes
I think the one “issue” I have is Bumblebee. Has nothing to do with Keegan-Michael Key, I’m really liking his voice so far. It’s just that I didn’t expect Bee to be this early is Optimus’ origin. Sure they needed some comic relief for the team but I feel like it could’ve been pulled off by maybe Ratchet or Wheeljack

First transformer product that gives me goosebumps since 1980s. My only désappointement was to see Megatron transforming into a tank.... But they shown that their transformation is evolutive so I still hope he will be a gun like he should before the end of the movie... And be held by Soundwave...
The thing is people say that it looks like a kids film, but the the producers made it animated on purpose. The original storyboard was created for a live action movie like the Bay-verse but the whole production to bring Cybertron to life and have the Cybertronians fight would be so much more difficult than any other transformers because it's a whole planet this time not just a few autobots and deceptions scraping on earth. I think if the producers had went through with a live action movie the budget was at least 2 billion said Lorenzo di Bonaventura, Who also stated "if we cannot make the correct profit back from this movie then we have spent 2 billion of our budget only to make back half of it" so its more than understandable i think personally.
I saw the clip of Bee getting excited over his faceplate and blades. He's always been my favorite, but this Bee is definitely gonna be my absolute favorite

In the Netflix War for Cybertron Trilogy, Bumblebee refused to pick a side until like... Halfway through season two or at the end of season one. Bumblebee has always been there. While he is arguably one of the youngest Autobot, he's also one of the oldest. I'm willing to guess that he was "born" some time after Orion and D-16's creation. Why do you think Prime holds Bee so close to his spark? They've been through hell and back. And we get to see an active origin story for Prime, Megatron, Bee, and even Arcee, it looks like. Might just be Elita, but I remember in G1, she started off pink. Then after Alpha Trion fixed her, she picked up that classic hot pink color that she's had for a long time

Well this is my first time seeing optimus as not so serious like in all timeline he had in the whole transformers franchise. I definitely going to watch this i want to see what kind of frienship they had before being enemies, but the sad part is when you reach its end i don't think that we will be happy or we are going to get a sad ending fir it.
To be honest, I really don't like most of the designs in this movie, but Soundwave and Shockwave looked pretty damn cool. Despite my issues with the designs, the trailer still looks awesome and really interesting. I'm excited to watch the movie when it comes out :)
My only complaint is that they've pushed Bumblebee up front despite him being a character who's usually seen as a lot younger than Optimus, Megatron, and all those characters (also he's never been that involved in Optimus' backstory before). Personally, I'd like it more if Bee was replaced with Soundwave so the main cast is equal future Autobots and Decepticons. Plus, we can still have some humor from the cassettes bouncing off Soundwave who acts as the straightman of the group.
I hate that people are complaining that Peter Cullen isn’t voicing Optimus. This is young Optimus, before he became a Prime. He’s obviously not gonna have that deep voice. Transformers also physically change when they become Primes. Their voices are gonna change while the rest of them changes!

I think you summarized my excitement for this movie extremely well. “A transformers movie that’s actually about the transformers” like, I do love (most of) the live action movies, but am I the only one who noticed that rise of the beasts was the first time in any of the movies in which a transformer had a character arc?
I’m fairly optimistic about this movie I think, it appears to be well thought out and designed with a purpose in mind. My biggest thing is that I am a little concerned about the simplifying tweaks to megatron and orion’s origin stories compared to the ones I know such as G1 of TFP, but as long as they make an effort not to trivialize parts of their character development I will for sure enjoy it. I also tend to be skeptical of live action celebrities doing voice acting but if it works then I definitely won’t be complaining about it either. I may still prefer other stories with different takes in the end but I’m hopeful that this one will be a positive influence for the community
The thing is though, we kids from the 80s know the “Transformers” could transform on Cybertron already. The just get to Earth and add the additional aesthetics of Earth vehicles. So, yeah... The real OGs know they still fucked up 😂
The humor of Prime to Disguise was dramatic. And same here you said the Bayverse had moments of comedy. Key word being moments, while this looks like Ragnorak levels of comedy.

This is going back classic Transformers cartoons like G1, Animated they were kinda goofy. Also we are so used to serious, post war Optimus and even this was before he became Oprimus.
The movie looks fine but I honestly wish they stuck closer to the source material where Megatron was a gladiator and started a civil war to free his enslaved brethren and slowly fell into darkness forgetting his original goal
I think if it is a different voice actor for Pre Prime here, its because we are hearing what he sounded like before as we know voice changes overtime due to age thats my reasoning
The new movie looks really good. I'm glad they went back to the G1 look, just wish they went with the original voice actors, Peter Cullen and Frank Welker. but I mean, its Orion and D16, not Optimus and Megatron.
Feels like G1 honestly in a way. I miss when the transformers weren’t so whiny and edgy and they were just a bunch of alien goofballs and ruffians fighting each other over resources. I’m happy to see the origin story finally make it to the big screen
Also im really happy about how well Hemsworth is doing as prime!!! He really has the voice down while giving him a new youthful energy. Probably the best non-Cullen Optimus so far!
Transformers is a kids set based off of kids toys so I’d rather have a slightly boring kids movie then the over-the-top dramatic slightly racist Michael movies any day of the week
I think imo why its so child like and goofy is just how they are and i think after they get there powers like weapons and car mode megatron becomes power hungery knowing he can abuse his new powers and if they have a sec movie is gonna be more of a war on cybertron story

I had low expectations, but the trailer had me pretty hyped. Just binged the series like a week ago, and though all of them were good, the original 3 movies have still been the best for me, so maybe this one could live upto the new expectations...
Fun Fact: The movie takes place before the golden age of Cybertron, which means this is gonna be way before the war would even start, way before the corruption and greed take place.
I'm talking more than 10 million years ago if this is taking the G! storyline of course.
I have a theory that this would be taking place during the Cybertronian uprising, where they revolt again the Quintessons

Honestly the only thing that's bugging me is the faces being weird. Like, it would have been nice if they looked closer to transformers prime or even the Netflix series. These really round faces just make it seem like the transformers are just people wearing costumes

It does actually seem pretty good. My only complaint is that it removes & adds parts of lore that weren't part of the original Transformers story
I think the one “issue” I have is Bumblebee. Has nothing to do with Keegan-Michael Key, I’m really liking his voice so far. It’s just that I didn’t expect Bee to be this early is Optimus’ origin. Sure they needed some comic relief for the team but I feel like it could’ve been pulled off by maybe Ratchet or Wheeljack
This is my biggest issue with the casting. No hate to Keegan but Bumblebee is supposed to be like a younger character sort off naive but reliable.
Yeah i feel the same way, definitely should’ve been Ratchet he was Optimus’s oldest friend. But ofc, Bee has star power like no other bot

It should've been Dion instead of mr cash cow. I love bumblebee but hes in everything and it's starting to make him overrated. Dion is literally Orion's bestfriend in g1.
First transformer product that gives me goosebumps since 1980s. My only désappointement was to see Megatron transforming into a tank.... But they shown that their transformation is evolutive so I still hope he will be a gun like he should before the end of the movie... And be held by Soundwave...
Not just focusing primarily on the Transformers, we also get a full Cybertron setting that i feel isn't used alot.
“It’s goofy” it’s an origin story and the only problem I have with it is that they act how kids be in school
The thing is people say that it looks like a kids film, but the the producers made it animated on purpose. The original storyboard was created for a live action movie like the Bay-verse but the whole production to bring Cybertron to life and have the Cybertronians fight would be so much more difficult than any other transformers because it's a whole planet this time not just a few autobots and deceptions scraping on earth. I think if the producers had went through with a live action movie the budget was at least 2 billion said Lorenzo di Bonaventura, Who also stated "if we cannot make the correct profit back from this movie then we have spent 2 billion of our budget only to make back half of it" so its more than understandable i think personally.

@@Dark-Wolf27 Bumblebee has been there since day one! Even Cyberverse showed that Bumblebee knew Optimus and Megatron BEFORE the war started. In the Netflix War for Cybertron Trilogy, Bumblebee refused to pick a side until like... Halfway through season two or at the end of season one. Bumblebee has always been there. While he is arguably one of the youngest Autobot, he's also one of the oldest. I'm willing to guess that he was "born" some time after Orion and D-16's creation. Why do you think Prime holds Bee so close to his spark? They've been through hell and back. And we get to see an active origin story for Prime, Megatron, Bee, and even Arcee, it looks like. Might just be Elita, but I remember in G1, she started off pink. Then after Alpha Trion fixed her, she picked up that classic hot pink color that she's had for a long time

Well this is my first time seeing optimus as not so serious like in all timeline he had in the whole transformers franchise. I definitely going to watch this i want to see what kind of frienship they had before being enemies, but the sad part is when you reach its end i don't think that we will be happy or we are going to get a sad ending fir it.

To be honest, I really don't like most of the designs in this movie, but Soundwave and Shockwave looked pretty damn cool. Despite my issues with the designs, the trailer still looks awesome and really interesting. I'm excited to watch the movie when it comes out :)

My only complaint is that they've pushed Bumblebee up front despite him being a character who's usually seen as a lot younger than Optimus, Megatron, and all those characters (also he's never been that involved in Optimus' backstory before). Personally, I'd like it more if Bee was replaced with Soundwave so the main cast is equal future Autobots and Decepticons. Plus, we can still have some humor from the cassettes bouncing off Soundwave who acts as the straightman of the group.

I hate that people are complaining that Peter Cullen isn’t voicing Optimus. This is young Optimus, before he became a Prime. He’s obviously not gonna have that deep voice. Transformers also physically change when they become Primes. Their voices are gonna change while the rest of them changes!

I think you summarized my excitement for this movie extremely well. “A transformers movie that’s actually about the transformers” like, I do love (most of) the live action movies, but am I the only one who noticed that rise of the beasts was the first time in any of the movies in which a transformer had a character arc?

I’m fairly optimistic about this movie I think, it appears to be well thought out and designed with a purpose in mind. My biggest thing is that I am a little concerned about the simplifying tweaks to megatron and orion’s origin stories compared to the ones I know such as G1 of TFP, but as long as they make an effort not to trivialize parts of their character development I will for sure enjoy it. I also tend to be skeptical of live action celebrities doing voice acting but if it works then I definitely won’t be complaining about it either. I may still prefer other stories with different takes in the end but I’m hopeful that this one will be a positive influence for the community

This is going back classic Transformers cartoons like G1, Animated they were kinda goofy. Also we are so used to serious, post war Optimus and even this was before he became Oprimus.
The movie looks fine but I honestly wish they stuck closer to the source material where Megatron was a gladiator and started a civil war to free his enslaved brethren and slowly fell into darkness forgetting his original goal
I think if it is a different voice actor for Pre Prime here, its because we are hearing what he sounded like before as we know voice changes overtime due to age thats my reasoning
The new movie looks really good. I'm glad they went back to the G1 look, just wish they went with the original voice actors, Peter Cullen and Frank Welker. but I mean, its Orion and D16, not Optimus and Megatron.
Feels like G1 honestly in a way. I miss when the transformers weren’t so whiny and edgy and they were just a bunch of alien goofballs and ruffians fighting each other over resources. I’m happy to see the origin story finally make it to the big screen
Also im really happy about how well Hemsworth is doing as prime!!! He really has the voice down while giving him a new youthful energy. Probably the best non-Cullen Optimus so far!
