    Was it cheaper to replace with a used engine than rebuild your original engine ?
    Do you mind telling us the quoted price to rebuild and jasper engine and used engine?
    I fear i have the same problem except on cylinder 5

      @@wadedog4280 We (where i work) wuoted other Jasper replacements and its about 8 to 12k. You can try to rebuild your engine but there is no guarantee it’s rebuildable and you pay labor to tear it out and then you find out its shot. You still have to pay labor. Mine at a normal rate to rebuild the engine we found, would have been about 9k. I got a discount. I am ball parking the amounts

    Electronic nonsense.
    I drive a Willys MB. Air conditioning is dropping the windshield. 'Check engine light' is the bulb over one's head that says _"this doesn't sound / smell right."_ Comp tests are done in the driveway (easy, peasy).
    If replacement is a "new engine", why is it being assembled at the shop?

    • @JeepMomma
      @JeepMomma  Před 18 dny +1

      @@JeepMomma Indeed.
      Replacement.
      Time to drive the MB to get some grub.
      It's down to 99 degrees (F) right now, so I'll drive her with inner W/S frame tilted outward as top is on (it's more work to drop entire frame).

    Don't buy a vehicle that you can't afford to maintain.

    • @JeepMomma
      @JeepMomma  Před 15 dny

      You don't expect to replace an engine when you buy a new vehicle. Plus, life circumstances over time change.
