Tsunade was MVP in this arc. No wonder people respect her.

Seriously. She may have benn the "weakest" Hokage, yet I believe except for Hashirama she is the one who accomplished the most.
- She saved Naruto's life
- She believed in him and put the village ressources on him, to train him and forge him into the man he is now
- She acted like the mother/sister he never had
- She effectively forged a durable alliance with the Sand Village before the ninja world war
- She saved all 95% of Konoha's population during Pain's attack
- She helped and saved impossible to count number of people during the war alongside the Kage
- She formed Sakura and gave her the keys to be important during the world war and the fight with Sasori
- She put her reputation in the line confronting the Elders of the village to back up Naruto
- She named Kakashi the Hokage after her, convincing him to take a job he never wanted
- She is the first one to believe in Naruto's dream to be Hokage

If Sarutobi was Hokage during Pain's invasion, the village and everyone in it would have perished. Tsunade's healing was the only way to protect the village besides killing Pain beforehand. That's why I'll always have respect for Tsunade.
To be fair, most people died to pain. luckily he revived them.

counterargument: if hiruzen would be alive,most of the villagers would be already evacuated like during orochimarus first invade,he was old but since jiraya put up a decent fight id say hiruzen would (not win but) also put up a decent fight like he showed in the war arc later,also chances might be way higher danzo would have enter to help,since he was directly oppose to tsunade but would not let hiruzen solofight pain,it would be naruto/sasuke light version vs madara,but its hiruzen with enma+reaper death seal and danzo with izanagi vs pain
respect to tsunade being the best healer in narutoverse but she needed to rely on healing since her combat is not up to par,jiraya was the strongest in the village at that point,after he died it was kakashi,who also died,3rd hokage prob has a better chance vs pain in direct combat cause of his knowledge and experience
@@mrkickinthesky Would Danzo really help? He didn't help during Orochimaru's invasion at all and has even tried to have him killed. I say he'd rather see Hiruzen die to become the next Hokage than actually helping him. If Danzo helps, it won't be for the entire fight. He'll either come out of nowhere to save Hiruzen when's he's about to be killed and dip out to have a small moment between them or Hiruzen and Danzo really team up, but somewhere in the fight Danzo gets blown away and leaves Hiruzen to die because I'm sure he'd rather live to be Hokage than fight a losing battle. I see no way Danzo helps for the entirety of the fight knowing how he operates and what how sneaky he is. He'd have to be chased and cornered to fight full-on just how Sasuke and Tobi did.

The only downside part about this fight is , in the manga Tsunade oneshots Orochimaru. She aint holding his tongue and keep hitting. That's the reason why Jiraiya aint involved cuz in the original case. Tsunade hits once and Orochimaru's face torn off and then he decide to leave. In manga Tsunade portrait more potent.
It actually would've been better and makes more sense if tsunade did hit her once only, like she can literally destroy the whole floor but can't destory some bones after so many punches in the face.

This whole fight is so well constructed people still refer to Tsunade's performance until this day, for better or worse. The woman came from missing a thousand hits to steamrolling both a boss summon and its summoner in one hit, which is apparently too much of an outlier for some. The skirmish prior to this probably took an hour and the climax was done in 5 minutes, with like 30s for Tsunade's active participation.

Tsunade's summon is the largest living creature in the naruto verse. No one has ever seen her body in a single piece. Her size when summoned is determined by the summoner's chakara, which Tsunade has an abnormally high amount of. Her max summon size is only 10% of her summon's actual body.

@@coolmanirl yes it is, its cannon and common knowledge. The whole theme of the Slug Summon is that it can split itself into multiple beings that are all connected. It leaves a body in it's summon realm, and the size of the slug you summon is based on the chakra you use to summon it.
It's laid out in the manga by Tsunade herself.
Tsunade says that her and Sakura, who are both users of the 100 Healings, can combine their chakra to summon 1/10 of Katsuyu's actual body

To be completely fair Tsunade had phobia also she hasn’t fought like orochumaru in a long time. The fact she could handle a no hand orochumaru after not being in battle in years is a big thing.

You know, just like Minato and his Rasengan, Tsunade's supposed to be keeping it simple because her fists can make massive craters. But unlike the Rasengan, Tsunade's blows don't get the job done. When they hit their target they're no more powerful than anything genin in the series have pulled off prior to this point. It's supposed to be the original one punch kill but it doesn't work on Kabuto, let alone Orochimaru. As in, this is something Sakura needs chakra for but is natural for her, and it doesn't work? They make her fists not even able to blow Orochimaru's head off and she's already shown using next to no jutsu, just being a punching machine, so not only is it a poor excuse for Kishimoto to give her a bland, underdeveloped kit but... they should just admit ninja bodies are tougher than cliffs and boulders, because smashing those around is supposed to demonstrate strength and she does that without effort. It's sad, because Tsunade deserved a great win over either Orochimaru or Pain - she worked much harder for it and endured a lot more than Naruto constantly cheating with Kurama's help or the conveniently ripe genes for Sage Mode.
Were you not paying attention or something? Kabuto damaged the muscles of her dominant arm and leg earlier in the fight, then explicitly explained that those injuries would prevent her from releasing her full strength. It's not Tsunade's fault you weren't listening lol.

To be fair Tsunade wasn’t at her best either with her phobia and the fact that she used the generation jutsu to heal herself which took all her chakra. She would have never used the jutsu if she didn’t have her phobia cause then she would be able to take down kabuto. Also she hasn’t fought in over a decade and the fact she’s able to hold her own against kabuto who is a A rank medical ninja who can engage in combat. Kabuto was easily as strong as anbu itachi in this battle

Jiraiya unable to manipulate chakra because of the drug Tsunade made him take and Tsunade for around 20 years without being a ninja anymore, having to fight a 16 year old guy and overcome his blood trauma. No one sees the other side, right? lmao.
@@LordOrochimaru_ Tsunade survived against Madara Edo Tensei, with Hashimara's cells and Rinnegan. Not just get out of the fight alive but saving others 4 lifes as well. Besides that, Orochimaru just got a new young body when the sannin's fight happened, in addition to the thousands of other experiments he has done, to gain more power and immortality, his strength is unnatural if you look at it.

If the author just didn't make this drama bs of tsunade being afraid of blood and nerfing her and getting beat the sh out of her by kabutops, this would actually be good. Tsunade who's supposedly a hokage can't even beat orochimaru who can't use any jitsu is just plain ridiculous.
Well none of the animes are perfect, none are even close.
I can tell you don’t pay attention to the story nor plot. Kabuto is an A rank medical ninja who has amazing Chakra control and he’s easily able to match “anbu itachi” . Orochumaru is the head of the Taka making him able to defeat 4 tails Naruto. Lady Tsunade hasn’t been in battle for over a decade so she’s very rusty despite having phobia. Orochumaru with no hands is still easily stronger then kakashi and guy sensei together. So yes Tsunade did prove her worth in this battle.

The sanin aren’t S rank ninjas. S rank ninjas are Adult naruto, first hokage, adult Sasuke, obito etc. the sanin are A rank ninjas. And kabuto is a B rank medical ninja who specializes in what he’s good at. And mind you kabuto at this time could give” itachi anbu “ a run for his money.
