Sakura's so badass, and Kishi did her dirty.
One of my favourite fights in the series. The bond between Sakura and Chiyo grew so much over the course of this battle, and their team effort was beautiful to watch against the menacing Sasori.
No, kishi did her good.. in manga she rarely hit naruto .. but the studio make sakura dirty in anime

I see what you mean, but I also feel like people are just trying to dismiss everything she did and what she is. Because if you look without being biased, she's a great role model: She was nothing but a normal girl, no special eyes, no biju or a reincarnation of gods, she was from a civilian family and didn't even have a good teacher before (not that Kakashi isn't good, but besides teaching her Kai release and climbing to three he did nothing, and what's even more concerning is that he saw that she was good at genjutsu, said that she even had a natural talent for it but didn't even train her or at least asked Kurenai to help Sakura). At first her dream was to marry Sasuke like the normal girl she was (stupid dream in a ninja world). But once they were in a critical situation in the forest of death, she changed, she knew that she didn't want to stay that normal and weak girl, needing to be protected by her teammates all the time. She even almost die to protect Naruto, Lee and Sasuke from team Oto until team 10 and Guy helped. She begged Tsunade to train her properly, and she became incredible. She surpassed her master at the end, she's considered as the best medical nin in konoha, healed the ninja alliance twice, stopped Kaguya from dodging the seal of Naruto and Sasuke, get praised for her skills by incredible characters (Kakashi, Chiyo, Sasori, Jiraya, Hashirama etc) is the founder of the mental children's hospital, opened some with Ino in other villages, and his considered as a pillar of konoha in Boruto...really, I think that indeed her character development took a long time compared to Naruto that knew from the beginning what he wanted to be. But I also think that's the more human relatable thing to make mistakes and learn from it, and that's why I think she's a good role model, because she did mistakes indeed but try to change, try to become better and stronger so she can heal the ones she love

I am not mad at Sakura haters but I can't understand how can they hate a character when the author and especially animators are the ones at fault and really butchered a kunoichi with great skills. She didn't come from a great clan, no bijuus or eyes of destruction. Only hard work.

a great character fight without kekkei genkai or given ability, something not very common in naruto, and for me one of the best, chiyo and sasori are characters that appeared very little but are very well done

Shikamaru and Lee's abilities were more interessting cuz they were levelled and required strategy and hard work...Naruto and Sasuke at one point literally just became Dragon Ball Z characters with tons of cheat codes and upgrades. Was super annoying to see the progress go from like 0 to 100 in a couple episodes for those two.

this is amazing considering Sakura was still on a capped chakra limit due to her seal being fueled. She wasn’t even full power in this fight. It’s a shame that the built her up at the beginning of Shippuden and gave her a badass fight against an Akatski member, only to have it slip away once she sees sasuke again. i mean, the next big fight shes around for is against Orochimaru and Kabuto, and she’s taken out almost instantly. Why not have her and Yamato or Sai fight against Kabuto
Kishimoto is not really good at wrting female characters, look at rin, hinata in the last movie, etc. Since he take over boruto manga, i do hope he do sarada justice

I wish Sakura had Rock Lee’s backstory or something similar. She doesn’t come from an OP family, doesn’t have a tailed beast, and doesn’t have some given ability. She would have been a great character if Kishimoto had spend the time and care on her as he did for Naruto and Sasuke. She would have been a powerful character for many people. Characters Kishimoto did dirty: Sakura, Lee, Tenten, Neji, Shino, Ino, Kiba.
Please hear me out, cause these would have made sense.
Sakura and Lee could have developed each other as characters. Lee could have refined Sakura's martial prowess, and Sakura (as depicted in Naruto) is very knowledgeable in controlling her chakra.
Sakura would have been a more powerful "Tsunade", while Lee would have awoken chakra abilities via Sakura's teachings maybe learning and growing from his defeat from Gaara by shrouding his muscles or bones with toughened chakra, making him a "tank". This would have worked because Sakura already recognizes and respects Lee's capabilities even before shippuden.
Tenten, should have had a lesson from Asuma regarding using chakra-infused weapons that potentially would pierce through even powerful jutsus or chakra defenses such as the Wind Scythe by Temari or Sand Defenses by Gaara, the Rotation technique of Neji, or MAYBE even Susano'os. Im saying this because a person seeing the strengths of other people that they want to be on par with would somewhat find ways to go around these peoples' strengths.
Neji, exposed to Tenten's weaponry should have been maybe to develop "chakra blades". Neji already attacks chakra points using chakra, why not refine it into something that has more reach or range. Neji would have the ability to emit chakra blades from all over his body, instead of defending from all directions using his Rotation technique, he would have been able to attack all directions. "Gentle Fist Blades: Echidna"
Shino could have been an intelligence-type that uses his massive number of bugs to gather information from all directions. But no.
For Ino, Kishimoto could have retapped into genjutsu and instead of Ino entering another person's body, it could be that she pulls other people's conciousness into her mind, and beating them mentally or via genjutsu.
Kiba should have had a combination with Akamaru where they turn into a werewolf capable of speech and chakra claws, an improvement from his Two-headed Cerberus-esque jutsu when he was younger. (Like how Naruto and Gamabunta transformed into the Kyuubi).
I understand that the name of the story is "Naruto". I just find it a shame that all these colorful and wonderful characters' potential were wasted.
Whole hyuga clan is underdeveloped.

This, my friends, is how Sakura was supposed to be portrayed. And to think about it, if Kishimoto was really putting more effort into her, she could've had a great backstory like Rock Lee, where you start from zero to hero, without any famous blood or clan within you, without legendary eyes, without special chakra nature, and without god-destiny reincarnation bullshit, just pure hard work and BOOM. She would've been one of the best shinobi, not kunoichi, but shinobi in Naruto universe. Instead, Kishimoto butchered her character like a useless bitch

Its crazy how they didn't incorporate more taijutsu scenes for sakura to participate in. This felt like a complete boxing/slugger fest of moves. They did rock lee/guy dirty and her with how crazy taijutsu could be
Best fight in the series, love every moment of it.
This battle shows the potential of the Orochimaru vs Third Hokage fight (which _should_ have been an example of the ceiling of power in the series) being pushed to the limit, and exclusively using ninja tools (which is what puppets ultimately are) infused with chakra and Taijutsu, enhanced with chakra. It also showed both sides relying as much as possible on misdirection and their intel of the opposing side. In short, it was the epitome of a ninja battle within the parameters of the series itself.
Too bad that the mangaka run out of ideas for ninja fights after this and instead decided to simply increase the power, moving from something that still resembled ninjutsu into straight up magic.

I'm glad that Sakura actually had a good moment, but everyone in the comment section is forgetting that all of her movements were being controlled by Chiyo. Sakura is awesome, but she's not even close to being as skilled during this scene at this point in time.
Chiyo not controlling her anymore lol..last time chiyo control Sakura is before Sakura break 3rd kazekage puppet and after that Sakura move on her own..not to mention that chiyo already said Sakura don't even need her help since the start..
Chiyo controlled her two times: to dodge Hiruko's needles and to dodge the iron sand and in the middle of it she said that Sakura didn't even need her

None of the girls are useless tbh. Most of them are just not combat ninjas. Like their role in battle is not to fight in the first lines. For example let's take hinata, ino and sakura. Hinata and Ino are sensory type ninjas, and Ino is the medical ninja of the team too, so like none of them is supposed to fight in first line, and then we have sakura, who is the medical ninja for excellence, so she definitely is not meant to fight in first line.
She should be in the last line as the healer. Lmao, Team 7 would have been built as a juggernaut team with her when she learn those advance mass healing with her slugs. Heck, Sakura has lots of potential that still wasn't used up till boruto. I blame kakashi for stunting Sakura's potential. He might be a impressive shinobi but he sure as heck sucks as a sensei.

Sakura’s first and last epic moment in this show. I really thought Sakura was gonna be useful when I watched this back then.
But she is....
Just because she haven’t been in a lot of fights doesn’t make her useless. A lot of people like you should understand the true meaning of the word useful. Because as a medical ninja, she’s far from that. But for the case of getting more fights I can agree with you on. As the main heroine she should have more of that.
It was at this moment I genuinely believe Naruto, Sasuke, Sakura and Shikamaru plot armour is far greater than even the most powerful of Shinobi and jutsu they have ever faced. We all learnt Sasori was holding back but even an holding Sasori should have theoretically clap Sakura at this point and Chiyo with this jutsu by default. Neither have Sharingan or some crazy ass dojutsu or Guy and Lee killer reflexes yet they casually dodge most of them with minimal difficulty. This is probably the only thing I dislike about Naruto compare to Death Notes. In Naruto all the main characters are immune to death. Masashi try justifying this by having Neji died but because of Neji words and faith speech back in the Chunnin exams days having him live to meet Naruto father and reincarnation of Asura would have meant Neji was right all along and that Naruto faith was to be the future Hokage and a overpowered shinobi by birth. Neji had to die otherwise his words would have debunk the whole plot theory.
Without plot armour, naruto would have been dead as a child. There wouldn't be an anime.
lol considered to read all this until I reached "Sasori was holding back". He wasn't holdin any 💩 he spent all of his legacy & even his backup plan which only touch when it has anti-country kind of missions. But he couldn't even kill 1 of them. Better be dead or confront Dedara after lol
