The production quality is bonkers. Fair play Mr McCarthy. Loving this series, keep it up Callum lad
CMON COLE
All Charlie, I’m just the ideas man. Cheers fella!
Brilliant mate, what a race, I watched it live and was rooting for you and adam (fogg)... big improvements in a year buddy, more to come!
Thanks mate! Appreciate the support 🤝
Couldn’t agree more with the ‘respect the big names but be proud to be amongst them’
Class vid mate!
Likewise mate great racing 🤝
Great progress Callum you’ll do it next time well done onward and upwards 👏👏👏
Cheers George!
Small margins, Callum. You were closing at the finish so 1.6sec to Gourley is impressive. The immediate awareness of why you were not in closer contention 500m out (boxed in/applied acceleration) shows you are smart enough to work on this. It bodes well.
Thanks mate - identifying is the first step, working on it a bit harder! Small margins but great motivation.
a heart of an athlete, love it

Congratulations. Very good results in maybe the deepest national field in the world.
Definitely one of them! Cheers for the support!
Great run Callum, only 1.6 seconds behind a win, put some clever training in and stay healthy and you do it next time, good luck 🇬🇧
Thanks for watching! Definitely getting there
High quality videos, loving this series so far! Congrats cal!
Cheers mate!
Great perspective post race. I think you are right about strength development and being able to go from 300 out. Keep working at it
Thanks 🤘🏼🤘🏼
Just watched the last 9 episodes. A lot of fun. Wish we could see more racing. But congrats on a great season.
Thanks Robert! If you follow me on Instagram I post links to live streams of all races and/or full replays if they are available 👍🏼👍🏼
@@the.distanceproject Thanks, following on instagram.
Fantastic race video!
Thanks! Glad you enjoyed
Brilliant video and great progress.
Cheers mate!
“That sounds like progress to me brudda” 🤣🤣🤣🤣
Can’t take her anywhere 😂😂
keep running and dont quit Callum. cheers on you
Will do!
I'm a simple guy and that joke on the start line was excellent 😂📸
🤣
Good insight. Interesting that the result and current UK rankings correlate exactly of those who ran down to your place. As you said though you were a lot closer in time in the race to the differences in time in the rankings.
Definitely… I mean in a slow race you’re bound to finish closer of course, but still some good takeaways!
In the mix lad. Echo your comments in the vid, if you can start to wind it a bit further out you’re on the same playing field with 200 to go. It’s all in the right direction!!
Yep, easy to say but hard to do! Thanks a lot mate
What a legend
Yes mate 🤝🤝
Great race to watch....I thought you gave them too much of a headstart in the final lap to have a real go! You should have gone with the Foggdog! Given the speed of the race, I thought Giles was going to win it, with his 800m speed, but Gourley's 5000m strength and being more experienced at the 1500m than Giles proved more decisive. On TV the weather looked doable, but in your video, the reality was much worse. Anyway it's a process and you're going in the right direction. I wish I could run as well as you do, but I am way too old for that.
Thanks for watching! It’s always harder than it looks to just “go with it” - whether it be a pacer or others in a race. 53s last lap is the fastest I’ve ever closed a race so that’s progress! Thanks again 🫡
Gap officially CLOSED but enjoying this series massively! Keep going, it's inspiring because I'm trying to do the same in Obstacle Course Racing!
Haha I wish, still a long way to go! Good luck with your racing
@@the.distanceproject OK, narrowed then :D Good luck to you too!
Keep going chum, you the future of this division 💯!
Thank you my son

I don’t believe so
If you get those ears pinned back you might take half a second off your time. 😂😂 I am joking of course, excellent run and a great video too. 🙏🙏
Nothing more boring than watching distance races in slow motion. WTF?
Thanks for the feedback David, sorry it's not to your taste! If you want to watch the race at full speed, it's available in full on the BBC iPlayer. If you're not from the UK it will likely be put on CZcams soon! Cheers
Congrats! Definitely learning that it’s a big mindset game!!
P.S it’s “cue” not “queue” for the situation you used it in 🫣
Editor is too busy making fire videos to worry about the spelling 🔥🔥
