- This is such a beautiful fish and can be cooked in so many ways, however there's a couple of things needs to be done before cooking it. On this video I share my tip on how I prep it before I slay it :-)

You throw hot water on it and let it soak for 1 hour then boil it for 10 minutes then boil another 10 minutes with fresh water and you basically desalt the fish

After desalting and rehydrating and scaling, can you just eat it as is or do you have to cook it?
Cook it don’t eat it raw.. ever
You can eat it raw !
Why not just boil it a couple times then descale it? That's what we Jamaicans do.
