No one is "forgetting" her. She voiced Ahsoka as a teenager, she doesn't have the look or the physicality needed for live action. Rosario was chosen and promoted by fans for this role, she has and still is doing the hard work to help create Ahsoka in live action. Ashley has developed a huge fan base and Star Wars related business from voicing Ahsoka, I don't think she's in any danger of being left behind.
Yes, Ashley did an excellent job, but nobody’s forgetting her. Of course Rosario would be the focus here, this is her show 💀 Rosario has given shout outs to her online. Ashley on the other hand made a statement throwing shade because she didn’t get the role.

I’ve been following Ahsoka’s story since the Clone Wars originally aired on Cartoon Network. And I know I’m not alone. An entire generation of Star Wars fans learned the ways of the Force with Ahsoka. In a way, she was a master to all of us. And now with the possibility of Anakin and Ahsoka properly reuniting after everything… it just feels right.

She is definitely 'fearless' in acting. Her big debut was in a very heavy and gritty movie and she did that at a very young age. Her acting is never subtle. I would almost say that she makes a better stage actor than onscreen. But the role of Ashoka, requires the theatrical. Its like what she did in Sin City. The part needed gravitas and she delivered. Man, Dave is an absolute R2 unit. He’s trying so hard to keep Star Wars feeling the same way as when we first encountered it as children. Every time he touches it, he makes it better. Even when it’s interacting with the original trilogy.
Uh Vader is best character and its not close. With as terrible of a job losing money they have done lately, they could release a Vader stand alone film of him hunting down jedi right after order 66 and his defeat on Mustatar and it would be top 3 highest grossing star wars movie as long as they didn't make some random female the lead instead.
@@notachance9457 I highly recommend the Darth Vader comics by Charles Soule, Kieran Gillen, and Greg Pak. Charles Soule’s Darth Vader comics start off right after Revenge of the Sith
I’ve loved Ahsoka since her debut in 2008. I seriously cannot wait for this show next week! I’ve loved every trailer and promotion trailer to date! Especially the latest one with Skywalker talking!
I love how Dave basically just confirmed that the Ahsoka episode in Mando was just a backdoor pilot for his _real_ passion project 😂 Either way I hope this means good things for Ahsoka, I know how much Dave loves his creation so I don’t believe the show will disappoint
I remember in being in theaters in 2008 for that ridiculous, but fondly remembered, Clone Wars theatrical release and seeing Ashoka step of the shuttle. I think the reason we all love Ashoka so much, is that she is the shining moral light of the prequel era that the movies were missing. She’s the character we can look to during confusing times and see a roadmap for how to deal with the worlds complexity, develop our own compassionate philosophy, try to be the best we possibly can within our own spheres of influence even if the world is going insane, and find love and hope in the darkest times. She was raised as a child soldier, but she may have been the only character from that era to truly know what it means to be a peace keeper.
Ahsoka is the best character with the best character development. Ashley, Rosario, Dave, George, and Jon have done a tremendous job creating this character and making her feel alive. I can’t wait for this show
So happy to see the thought and care put into the new shows - with Dave Filoni and Jon Favreau on board you can see how much they truly understand the characters and the continuation of the story. Ahsoka is a long time favourite of mine and having the character developed and brought to the forefront in this new show is every fans dream!
Ahsoka is my third favorite Star Wars character of all freaking time. Ever since 2008, she became my favorite torgruta and I feel like I've grown with her through my immature and pompous nature to now being a disciplined and balanced individual like Snips. Dave has grown throughout the years and has now achieved his magnum opus. THIS is going to be the SW series to bring everyone together and become one within the fandom again. If there is anyone that can do it, its Dave and Snips. I am so ready for this. 🧡
That Anakin return!!! Ahsoka show has been amazing, one of the best pieces of Star Wars content in a long time, Dave Filoni is a creative genius 👏👏👏👏👏😊
I have been unabashedly weeping on and off since this teaser dropped - at hearing Hayden’s voice speak Ahsoka’s name. The little nerdy teenager inside me is beside herself with joy.
4:15 I truly love how Jon fully acknowledged the fact that Dave Filoni is the apprentice of George Lucas. And that he didn’t try to take any of that spotlight away! That’s a very respectable, yet subtle detail here…..
@@thegreypath1777 I’m just saying that Dave has always been the guy and Jon acknowledges that. I never said Dave was better than John I’m just pointing out the fact that Jon supports Dave and thats important because he deserves to lead these projects!
Hearing the conversation of Dave and George discussing the origin of ahsoka is crazy. "Anakin doesn't have a padawan." -Dave "Anakin has a padawan." -George ❤
Saw a lot of other fans saying Ahsoka never existed and was just Dave's project. Funny knowing it came from George's mouth instead, and he seems to still support Ahsoka being alive after Rebels seeing as he's in the Mandalorian Season 2 film room.
I’ve been disappointed with Star Wars recently, but I always have hope that things can get better. Ahsoka looks exciting to me, and has the chance to bring a lot of fans back.
To me all the animated stuff has been great. Unfortunately the live action stuff has been pretty meh (Mando season 3, BOBF, and the Obi-Wan show). I liked those 3 shows, but man they were underwhelming and could've been 100x better
Oh this was a real treat! I love how this video started off. Ahsoka really is a testament of the greatest Jedi warriors. The long awaited moment for Ahsoka is almost here and after watching this I'm all the more excited for the show!
I have loved Ahsoka since the first time I saw Star Wars clone wars the movie. And as I have grown up now, I admire her character even more than I thought was possible. She’s a true inspiration. August 23 - may the force be with us!
Very excited for this show! All the footage released so far looks incredible and I so glad that Dave Filoni has been given an opportunity to continue the story he began in Rebels. Seeing all these characters come to life in live action is amazing! I hope the series ends up being even cooler than what we see here.
She's almost too much badass at this point. Don't get me wrong I love that on this character and I think Rosario's perfect for it, but thinking about it I'd also like to see some soft and vulnerable side on her which she didn't have time to show in Mando, but it's obviously there, hidden somewhere. Looking forward to that too.
When Ahsoka was first introduced in the Clone Wars, the fan reaction was extremely negative. It's amazing to see how far we've come since then. Ahsoka is easily my fav SW character and I grew up with the OG trilogy. So excited for this series and the continuation of years of character development from Clone Wars through Rebels! Thank you, Dave Filoni!!!!
This video reminded me of the times when I was watching the Making Off of the precuels, with George there supervising everything with the artists, taking care of all the details, even the choreography during the lightsaber duels. Also love how George likes to emphasize on how the actions affect the whole political situation of the galaxy, it gives a perfect depth to Star Wars universe.
Ahsoka is one of those characters that has grown with us, which is a big reason she is so beloved. The dynamic between her and Anakin was the best part of the Clone Wars series.
I hope Disney and Lucasfilm take note of the like/dislike ratio of this compared to all their other videos and realize that this respect for GL and his work is what fans want more of.
For everyone saying Rosario is misscast. No, she isn't. She has a sister like connection with Hayden Christensen, and she has been eyed for this role since before anyone ever thought the character would actually transition to live action.
Love when Dave says the lightsaber fights have to be good because the fans know the difference. Makes me hopeful that the choreography will be on point!
I'll admit, i was ONE who did not at first ENJOY ahsoka, but she grew up on me so quick that SHE MAKES SENSE and is WHAT STAR WARS EMBODIES! This insight just brought a tear into my eye, seeing Dave get to work with, who im sure is his idol in GEORGE LUCAS. Just comes to show you, if you just put your time and effort into adding to what already IS, you can too create a legacy yourself!
Oh.. it's beautiful. The legacy of George and Dave culminating in this show. A show that bridges all animation and all three eras of the Skywalker saga (for better or worse) is an amazing accomplishment. Can't wait for everything to change !
I'm too excited for this show. 🥰 Not just for myself but for all the fans, as well as everyone involved, cast, crew and beyond.. literally EVERYONE from A-Z. 🙌 I know each of you put your heart & souls into this series and I hope you know just how much I/We appreciate it. THANK YOU! 💙
Ashoka is the connective tissue between Clone Wars, Rebels and the Mandalorian. To not give her a series would be an injustice. I am so hyped for Rosario, having seen her in Mando S2. She’s got this. Also psyched to see Thrawn in live action, 30 years in the making.
I expect the episodes and the season to be far too short for what I hoped, but it will be satisfying, nonetheless. Remember, we hear Kanan while the wolves take his family to the Lothal Jedi Temple.
5:43 Yes Dave, the fans DO know the difference *cough* episode 8 throne room scene *cough* Dave truly understands the fans in a way others cant. He is truly our only hope for Star Wars.
2:10 - That’s a good demonstration of a Master and an Apprentice right there. 😂 5:46 - And that fact that Filoni knows that true fans will know the difference between good and bad lightsaber duels is why SW is now in good hands with Filoni.
I’m hoping this series does well and leads more people to go back and watch Rebels and Clone Wars as those are the series that really got me into Star Wars. I watched the films but was never a die hard Star Wars fan until the Clone Wars.
@@Tx2bx I would say the same about Rebels, it's a masterpiece in terms of character development and does this amazing job introducing new concepts about the Force and setting up the Rebellion we see in the original movies

You are the legacy, Dave, thank you Sir for such great stories!
Cautiously optimistic about this series. Loved Ahsoka in TCW. In Filoni We Trust
04:17 "he was daves teacher and dave was his apprentice." This is the future of star wars. Dave is the chosen one.
Man, Dave is an absolute R2 unit. He’s trying so hard to keep Star Wars feeling the same way as when we first encountered it as children. Every time he touches it, he makes it better. Even when it’s interacting with the original trilogy.
Even star wars is recognizing that Ahsoka is their best character yet. We love it.
If they didn't trash all of the others they wouldn't need to say that 😂
@@Hello-bi1pm Yikes, kinda true ... and sad.
They trashed Luke and Leia. No one else left
5:50 Dave is speaking facts
I’ve loved Ahsoka since her debut in 2008. I seriously cannot wait for this show next week! I’ve loved every trailer and promotion trailer to date! Especially the latest one with Skywalker talking!
I love how Dave basically just confirmed that the Ahsoka episode in Mando was just a backdoor pilot for his _real_ passion project 😂
Either way I hope this means good things for Ahsoka, I know how much Dave loves his creation so I don’t believe the show will disappoint
I’m glad that Ahsoka is finally getting the spotlight she deserves! I’m excited for the series that’s coming out next week.
Rest in peace to all those who didn’t live to see a live action Ahsoka & Anakin
🫡❤️🖤
I hope this is everything and more
I remember in being in theaters in 2008 for that ridiculous, but fondly remembered, Clone Wars theatrical release and seeing Ashoka step of the shuttle.
I would like to nominate this comment for the Nobel Prize. Well said indeed!
Ahsoka is the best character with the best character development. Ashley, Rosario, Dave, George, and Jon have done a tremendous job creating this character and making her feel alive. I can’t wait for this show
The only bad Star Wars is the Christmas Special of 1978 the rest I love it and I can wait for Ahsoka
I do love ahsoka however I'm sorry but she's not the best character 😂 there's just others who are much better

So happy to see the thought and care put into the new shows - with Dave Filoni and Jon Favreau on board you can see how much they truly understand the characters and the continuation of the story. Ahsoka is a long time favourite of mine and having the character developed and brought to the forefront in this new show is every fans dream!
Thank you Ashley Eckstein for putting all your blood sweat and tears into Ahsoka for this to even be considered to happen
Truly, I am really looking forward to seeing Ahsoka and Anakin reunite in live action and it’s going to be an absolute blast
It’ll be 5sec reunion so chill and actually enjoy the whole show for what it is
Im super excited to see it! I can’t wait to see young ahsoka in live action!
who is your first and second?
Nobody is better at carrying of the Star Wars mantle than Dave Filoni...and seeing Rosario in action makes me love her talent that much more!
The chills I got from listening to Favreau talking about Filoni being Lucas' disciple... ❤
...the lightsabers are so stunning...and the wisdom is so brave...
Every new shot looks perfect! This feels like a movie and it's biggest compliment for a TV show I can give!
Ahsoka is one of the 🐐
Star Wars has always been in my life, since I was a kid. That was a long time ago. Born in 90s with my 2 bros.
4:15 I truly love how Jon fully acknowledged the fact that Dave Filoni is the apprentice of George Lucas. And that he didn’t try to take any of that spotlight away! That’s a very respectable, yet subtle detail here…..
Jon Favreau has other plans….
@@thegreypath1777 I’m just saying that Dave has always been the guy and Jon acknowledges that. I never said Dave was better than John I’m just pointing out the fact that Jon supports Dave and thats important because he deserves to lead these projects!
@@thegreypath1777 what plans? Just curious.
This is the future HERO of SW!!!!! We love you, AHSOKA!!!!! ❤😊
Loving the focus on the relationship between masters and apprentices
Hearing the conversation of Dave and George discussing the origin of ahsoka is crazy.
"Anakin doesn't have a padawan." -Dave "Anakin has a padawan." -George
❤
Saw a lot of other fans saying Ahsoka never existed and was just Dave's project. Funny knowing it came from George's mouth instead, and he seems to still support Ahsoka being alive after Rebels seeing as he's in the Mandalorian Season 2 film room.
My favorite character in SW I absolutely LOVE Ahsoka she is a warrior a survivor of order 66 and will stop at nothing to achieve her goal.
i hope the Ahsoka series will be as epic as Mandalorian
Can’t wait to see Hayden Christensen speak to Ahsoka.
I’ve been disappointed with Star Wars recently, but I always have hope that things can get better. Ahsoka looks exciting to me, and has the chance to bring a lot of fans back.
Yeah Mando's season 3 was mid at best.
@@witcher348 i liked s3 mando but it just was so anticlimactic which is my biggest gripe about it
@@ariici nah I think the whole season, not just the anticlimactic ending was not on par with the quality standard of the previous seasons.
Tales of the Jedi was great
To me all the animated stuff has been great.
Aside from KK, love this documentary. Glad to see Dave’s involvement.
Cry harder
@@KahosSaint Ok 🥲🤣
I have loved Ahsoka since the first time I saw Star Wars clone wars the movie. And as I have grown up now, I admire her character even more than I thought was possible.
She’s a true inspiration. August 23 - may the force be with us!
Very excited for this show! All the footage released so far looks incredible and I so glad that Dave Filoni has been given an opportunity to continue the story he began in Rebels. Seeing all these characters come to life in live action is amazing! I hope the series ends up being even cooler than what we see here.
Ahsoka and Anakin… seeing them together in live action is going to be memorable to say the least!
Honestly it’s nice to see that Rosario seems to actually care about the character, it gives me faith for this series
I love Ahsoka's " You don't want to mess with me" look. 😂
"And he just looked at me and said, 'Anakin has a Padawan.'" 🤣
Nobody can out Star Wars George
This video reminded me of the times when I was watching the Making Off of the precuels, with George there supervising everything with the artists, taking care of all the details, even the choreography during the lightsaber duels.
Also love how George likes to emphasize on how the actions affect the whole political situation of the galaxy, it gives a perfect depth to Star Wars universe.
Ahsoka is one of those characters that has grown with us, which is a big reason she is so beloved. The dynamic between her and Anakin was the best part of the Clone Wars series.
4:47 loving this happy version of Ashoka lol
Yeah it’s hilarious because Rosario is so bubbly in real life. Love that she’s playing a brooding character
This show is absolutely gonna make me cry tears of nostalgia!
You can tell that ahsoka is Dave's baby and that he loves her like a proud dad. I cant wait to see her next chapter.
Ahsoka looks like its going to be Awesome I can't wait
2:41 that seals the deal. we are never getting Starkiller. 😭😭
I hope Disney and Lucasfilm take note of the like/dislike ratio of this compared to all their other videos and realize that this respect for GL and his work is what fans want more of.
That's not how corporations measure success. They measure it by dollar value. So, buy more merch of this if you like it.
For everyone saying Rosario is misscast. No, she isn't. She has a sister like connection with Hayden Christensen, and she has been eyed for this role since before anyone ever thought the character would actually transition to live action.
Finally we're gonna see Grand Admiral Thrawn! My favorite character since I read Heir to the empire more than 30 years ago!
Rosario is perfect for the role. Love her and love how she loves her characters and work.
Love when Dave says the lightsaber fights have to be good because the fans know the difference. Makes me hopeful that the choreography will be on point!
This is going to be amazing! I love Rosario as Ahsoka!
We are so lucky to have Dave. Thank you for keeping that feeling alive
Not just for myself but for all the fans, as well as everyone involved, cast, crew and beyond.. literally EVERYONE from A-Z. 🙌
I know each of you put your heart & souls into this series and I hope you know just how much I/We appreciate it. THANK YOU! 💙
Ashoka is the connective tissue between Clone Wars, Rebels and the Mandalorian. To not give her a series would be an injustice. I am so hyped for Rosario, having seen her in Mando S2. She’s got this. Also psyched to see Thrawn in live action, 30 years in the making.
To all involved, thank you for bringing Ahsoka to life!
This looks amazing, I hope Ezra’s story continues a little more though. Him returning would be awesome too
I can't stop CRYING. This is so beautiful!
this is how we know star wars is alive. The dedication shown in this behind the scnes video.
7:17 ahsoka held her lightsaber up the same way Anakin did in attack of the clones while fighting dooku alone
I expect the episodes and the season to be far too short for what I hoped, but it will be satisfying, nonetheless.
Remember, we hear Kanan while the wolves take his family to the Lothal Jedi Temple.
Try to cope Dale.
5:46 - And that fact that Filoni knows that true fans will know the difference between good and bad lightsaber duels is why SW is now in good hands with Filoni.
I’m hoping this series does well and leads more people to go back and watch Rebels and Clone Wars as those are the series that really got me into Star Wars. I watched the films but was never a die hard Star Wars fan until the Clone Wars.
Clone wars is a masterpiece. You don’t even really understand the galaxy of Star Wars until you watch that show imo.
Same here. The movies got me interested but the Clone Wars made me a fan ❤
Exactly!
@@Tx2bx I would say the same about Rebels, it's a masterpiece in terms of character development and does this amazing job introducing new concepts about the Force and setting up the Rebellion we see in the original movies
@@conorb7094 Rebels is not bad but it doesn’t touch CW in terms of fleshing out the galaxy. CW goes deep into politics, bounty hunters, crime lords, WAR (the sieges and battles are unrivalled), espionage, the banks, corruption, the jedi temple, coruscant underworld. You feel like you have a PhD in Star Wars after watching it.
