    It's hard to believe this guy still fighting best guys in division.
    While GSP, Anderson Silva, Khabib and many others retired Aldo is still fighting new hungry contenders.
    Not to mention he never talked trash and always retained sportmanship to his oponents.
    Jose Aldo is another breed of fighter and should never be left out of the "goat" conversation.

    lots of respect for aldo not choosing to cripple faber permanently, and giving him the honor of finishing the fight even though he could have put him in a wheel chair permanently with just a few more leg kicks.

      I was amazed that the commentators didn't see the option of mercy.

      @daviddaimary7734 Před 2 lety +1

      @@smesh4190 calf kicks are actually relatively easy to check. You can't really condition nerves and the one around the calf isn't well protected. Thai fighters stand square as compared to mma and they check calf kicks really easy. Funnily enough, Aldo has the best calf kick defense in all of MMA right now. Because MMA fighters tend to stand more bladed and stand lower as compared to other striking arts, you aren't naturally in a position to just turn your knee out to check them. Lifting also keeps you under the risk of being caught cause you can't move out of striking range and you don't have a good base to sprawl. Aldo just swivels both legs. Really cool.

    • @Kagemusha08
      @Kagemusha08 Před 2 lety

      That's why more fighters are targeting the calf. While thigh kicks will compromise mobility really tough dudes like Faber will gut through the horrific pain. There’s a picture of his thigh the next day that’s easy to find. I’ve never seen anything like it

    7:19 Damn even when Joe Rogan sees the replay he still says that Faber landed the kick and that’s what made him fall. It’s clear to see that Aldo kicks his leg. Like a sweep lol

      @@dontplay9937 go back and read my comment again nice and slow because you sure didn’t understand what I wrote. Never said anything about Faber not landing his push kick.
