Woodley was backed up against the cage for 90 percent of the fight, doing nothing, then eventually landed a bomb nearly finishing wonderboy which gave him the 10-8. No controversy.

When you win a championship the UFC offers to renegotiate your contract. Even Demetrious Johnson who is not a draw in the US, received PPV points. He talks about it on his CZcams channel. Obviously his points were nowhere near most champions, but if he's a co-main event under a popular champion the little points he gets + his $250k show money could be better than a win bonus (another $250k).
As for Figueiredo his contracts are all over the place. For whatever reason he took a $200k pay cut to fight Moreno at UFC 270. And he was the winner. Something tells me he's getting ripped off by Wallid Ismail. And that would not surprise me considering his history.
Edit: I confused Ali Abdelaziz with Wallid. Either way, they are both corrupt in business and politics.
