What Rooster breed is most gentle with hens?
Every rooster is a little different, so it is harder to suggest a specific breed that would be calm. An important point is the rooster to hen ratio in your flock. This will help with your rooster being gentle to your hens. A ratio of 1 rooster to every 10 hens is good to keep in mind.
What if I live in an apartment? Should I have a chicken? And if so what breed is best indoors?
