I like that it's more relaxed yet elegant but, other than white or grey I'm not into neutrals. So I think for me, I would add color. I love color next to my face. So maybe white pants with a bright shirt like fuschia, coral, deep blue, purple. or maybe a Breton shirt with white or navy? Jus my opinion. I really enjoy your vieos and finally subbed! I like the Coastal Grandmother style like the Diane Keaton vine. It is sort of a rich Hampton’s look. However, I had a real coastal grandmother. She lived on a maritime fishing island. She raised 11 children in a tiny house. My grandfather was lost at sea. She wore house dresses and aprons and was a bit overweight with bingo wings and the odd chin whisker. She made me Angel food cake with strawberry frosting on my birthdays. I loved her dearly. Most of her kids lived into their 80s and 90’s. She had over 40 grand children. A real treasure.

I think Coastal Grandmother is beautiful. But I prefer my Dr Martens, leather studded Moto, vintage high waist Levis with a silk head tie scarf under my helmet. These are ageless as well.😎

I’ve been living in the desert in California for many years ,and this is kind of my uniform because of the heat. I wear a lot of linen, and so does my husband. When every Day is over 100° it is the most comfortable thing you can wear.

Nancy Myers interiors are instantly recognizable and my absolute favorite vibe, all that shabby chic, comfort, never overdone or contrived, but relaxed upscale, Ethan Allen with a twist🕶😄⭐🏖🦀

Look to all the paint companies for their colour palettes. Tape it to your wardrobe. Fall is then easy. So is winter. Shop in your wardrobe and reinvent. No different to swopping out your cushions seasonally on your sofa!

I love the look and can shop my closet for it, I wear it when I’m near water….fresh or salt…..but it doesn’t feel right for a city shop unless I add a blazer.

I love the Coastal Grandmother styles. So cool and crisp! And I just bought a wide brimmed straw hat a few days ago...question.. do you steam your clothes? Everything always looks so polished. Thanks for your inspiration ❤️

I actually think that creases in linen is part of the relaxed charm 😃 Everything in moderation though 😉

I think it depends on the brand you choose. Boden are always true to size so you don't need to size up, as are H&M. I like to wear mine roomy though, so, if I'm between sizes, I do take the larger one. It's cooler too! XX

I would love to be able to wear the coastal look. However, I am only
barely 5 ft and have acquired the menopausal belly. All these clothes look wonderful on your beautiful body, but what can a short, thick in the middle woman wear? I treasure your advise.
Hi Dottie. Firstly, I really don’t think you should think of yourself as having any issues at all with being 5ft with a menopausal belly. The coastal grandmother style is PERFECT for you! It’s all about loose fitting, relaxed fit clothing that disguises any shape issues you may have. Loose linen shirts, loose-fitting trousers are all perfect for you. I really hope this makes you feel more confident as you should xx
