Did you guys notice the younger crowd wearing stripped dresses with cutouts, mellow and flowy white and sandy tones, wide legged trousers and a sophisticated look about them with their tortoise shell glasses? This was the year of a renewal of classic dressing. We are all looking for sustainable, stable, non fast fashion pieces to be kept for years (if not decades to come). The coastal grandma look is an aesthetic that was all over the place this summer... and for us here in the warmer regions, it is definitely a look that we can enjoy all the way into November and beyond, if we play our cards right and buy the third layers pieces with Fall in mind.

I am from coastal South Carolina and everybody has worn these clothes forever in Charleston. I've never been to the hamptons or anywhere in that northern area.

I'm craving fall. So I make my favorite fall tea, turn the AC way down and watch a couple of episodes after dinner every night... I'm enjoying my pretend autumn and it is not even September yet. LOL

Go to a fabric store. Look at coastal fabric books. Have your favourite shirtwaister dress made up by a seamstress with upholstery fabric. Prewash fabric on a 40 degree wash and tumble dry before sewing. It will be your favourite garment ever. Bespoke CG as it were!!!!!

I'm in the Phoenix area, right now 100 plus, dew points 70, plus. The white jeans, with the striped v sweater is perfection. Peach button up with turquoise necklace is great too.

So nice to find your channel. I'm also in Houston. I wore the CG look all throughout summer and loved it. I'm finding it challenging to style clothes with a touch of fall fashion in this hot weather. I did manage to put together some nice outfits but incorporated a bit of leopard print in 2 of them. Loved your video. Hi Olive, I’m not quite 5’4” and I wear size 12 for pants usually. My tops are a snug MEDIUM. I hope that helps . ☺️
I think you are beautiful, classic and elegant. The blue striped dress may be fabulous, starched, left open all the way with pants and a camisole top. Poncho or pashmina draped. No belt required. Dress cut too low and big on your armpit.
