I love how you guys can appreciate what David Yates brought to the table with directing the 5th, 6th, and (eventually you'll get to) the 7th and 8th movie. Like how he decides not to use a music score during some scenes like when they're running through the cornfield. I feel like Yates did a fantastic job making the magical world feel grounded and credible with the last 4 films. It doesn't necessarily feel like some kid's imagination like the first couple movies did nor too strong of a fantasy like the 3rd or 4th.
One thing I'll never understand is Hermione being attracted to Ron who bullied her for years as a kid. Treats her like dirt in the fourth film and doesn't even give her the time of day in this movie. I always felt Harry and Hermione understood each other better, were more compatible and had more in common. I honestly don't know what was worse, Harry and Ginny coming out of nowhere or Hermione and Ron somehow being a thing.
That said, I'm excited for your reaction to Deathly Hallows, Part 1 which is arguably my favorite out of the franchise.

I personally think Hermione need someone like Ron. We laugh at movie Ron, but we laugh With book Ron. When not brooding over his insecurities, he's very light hearted and easy going. He also can get her back to earth when she's a besserwisser, and he refuses to be mowed over by her. Book Hermione can be really sarcastic and waspish. She also don't function well under stress, and Ron can help her there. He simply make her more complete. Then there's only the tiny detail; for them to get that. 😳🤷🏼‍♀️
      Geez...

It's a complicated relationship between Ron and Hermione indeed, but I think that is what make it interesting. Ron was the boy that made a lot of fun of her, but he was also the one who defended her when Malfoy called her "mudblood". The point is that Ron doesn't know how to deal with his feelings for her and for most of the time he was a fool trying to look cool and compete with Harry's popularity.

When muggle-born witches and wizards are at the age to go to hogwarts, a witch or wizard goes to visit them and explain everything to them and their parents. That's what happened to Hermione and Harry. For Harry it was Hagrid. For Tom, it was Dumbledore who was a teacher at Hogwarts at that time (Dippet was the headmaster).

@TheHappyCryersReact One of the shortcomings of both the movies and the books is in the most part we only see things from Harry's perspective. You miss a lot of the tragedy of the backstory.
The size of the classes at Hogwarts during Harry's years speaks of the extensiveness of the First Wizarding War. What we do know is although a member of the Order, Molly sat out the war because she was raising Bill and Charlie. Her brothers Fabian and Gideon died before the birth of Fred and George, and Ron was over a year old before it ended.
Harry's parents were only 21 when they died.
Neither Harry or Neville have any memories of living with their parents.
Neville was raised by an overbearing grandmother. He was forced to use his father's hand-me-down wand that wouldn't work fir him properly because it never chose him. Although he was only a year old when they were tortured and has no memory of them or they of him, he still faithfully visited his parents in St. Mongo's Hospital.
This is the beauty of the series. You can enjoy it on so many levels. As a 10 year old watching Sorcerer's Stone for some light fantasy adventure, or a 67 year old finding new details with each reading/viewing.

I believe you asked last film, "What made Voldemort turn?" No spoilers, but the movies don't really go into this as much as I wish they did. You'd have to read the books to get that side of the story. (which is totally worth it... that's some of the best stuff in the whole series, too)
If anyone reading this doesn't care to read the books but still want to know, here's what the movies don't tell you...
Tom Riddle Sr., Voldemort's father, was bewitched by a love potion for years by one of Slytherin's descendants, Merope Gaunt, because she was infatuated with him but he showed no interest in return. I believe she married him, and eventually gave birth to Voldemort, but after so long she felt guilty about the love potion and wanted to feel that he REALLY loved her rather than just being under the influence of the potion, so she stopped giving it to him.
When it wore off, he returned to his normal self and abandoned her and Voldemort, which led to her death from a broken heart. This more or less resulted in resentment from Voldemort toward his father, which became disdain for all muggles (and subsequently muggle-borns), viewing them as worthless and weak compared to those with magical abilities, who, as his mother did, could use their powers to get what they wanted.
That, in conjunction with his upbringing (not really having anything, or anyone to teach him better), meant he developed into a very selfish, greedy, and power-hungry individual. I also read in another comment that apparently children born under the influence of love potions can't feel love, which would have just further bolstered the worst of him.
So there wasn't like a moment where he turned because of something that happened and changed him; he was, unfortunately, a twisted individual to begin with. It's entirely possible that if he'd had proper guidance, while he might have lived a loveless life, he might not have become the monster we came to know him as.

She stopped giving the love potion while she was pregnant. He left his pregnant wife (because he came "to his senses", after the love potion wore out) and Merope died shortly after giving birth, possibly from a broken heart. She loved Tom Riddle sr. very much, but she was described as rather ugly and came from a "weirdo" household, so he was not interested at all. It drove her to use the love potion and after a while, she thought, maybe I can stop using the love potion, because by now he must really love me right? It turned out that was not the case and she was broken, because it was all a lie

    Three things guys.
Firstly, they left out a great deal of important information from this movie and I'm sure you'll have some moments in the last one where you'll be a bit confused, certain things are not explained properly. They decided to fill this one with teenage romance and the main reason was (according to an interview with the director) that the actors themselves were going through that phase.
Speaking of things that were left out: Dumbledore knew that Voldemort made Horcruxes and that he made more than one, which is unprecedented. No wizard in history has ever made more than one. He just didn't know the exact number. if you want to know how he knew, ask me and I'll tell you, but this comment is quite long as it is.
Secondly, speaking of romance: Ron and Hermione had feelings for each other for years. But Ron was taken aback and angry because Hermione kissed Viktor Krum in GOF. Also, Hermione - as Rowling herself put it - refuses to be less brilliant than she is in order to be more likeable.
Thirdly, the orphanage scene in the book is a little longer. There it's obvious, that Tom Riddle is not just a kid who went bad because of the circumstances. As Dumbledore put it: "His ability to speak to snakes didn't make me nearly as uneasy as his obvious instincts for cruelty".
In that scene Dumbledore suggests that he should accompany Tom to Diagon Alley to buy his school stuff, and Tom refuses, saying that he prefers to do it alone. Also, when Dumbledore mentions that the barman in the Leaky Cauldron is also called Tom, the kid shows displeasure. He doesn't like his name, because there are a lot of Toms.
Dumbledore points out that the adult Voldemort is the same: always operating alone, never trusting anyone and hating everything that ties him to the ordinary.

BUT they CANNOT drive a car UNTIL they're 18 over there. I think it's actually better that way, personally; that way you cannot drink & then get into a car & drive b/c you're not old enough to drive yet . . . I mean, obviously, there're still drinking & driving accidents over there, but at least, not with kids . . . If you get my meaning . . . 🤔

Snape's father was a muggle and his mother a witch called Eileen Prince, hence half blood prince. In the books Ginny and Harry's relationship grows slowly and not suddenly as in the films. She is also more attractive than Hermione and a very powerful witch.

    • @ptitepeluche05
      @ptitepeluche05 Před 7 měsíci +3

Being attractive is a subjective thing. Let's just say that Ginny is very popular, and every boy want to be her boyfriend. Harry has a lot of inner battles during this year, and when Ginny breaks up with Dean, he is really afraid that if he doesn't do it soon, someone else will ask her out. Their movie relationship is just aweful. Like why would they have Harry flirt with the waitress at the beginning (a really stupid made-up scene), if we're suppose to believe he already likes Ginny ? Since when does tying someone's shoes is sexy ? I can't believe they gave Harry and Ginny's first kiss (in the common room with everybody watching, just after winning the Quidditch match) to Ron and Lavender. That pisses me off, and i'm not even a huge fan of Ginny in the book. But at least that Ginny has a personnality.

A funny thing is that in the books, both Harry & Lily (Harry's mother) had GREEN eyes, BUT Daniel Radcliffe (the actor who plays Harry, who has BLUE eyes) was, in fact, ALLERGIC to the green contact lenses they originally gave him for the 1st movie, so they didn't use them for Harry in the movies. And they actually ASKED J.K., "Is it that important that Harry has green eyes, specifically?" And she said, "No, it's not that important." 😅 And withe the Weasley twins, they actually LEFT Hogwarts BEFORE they could get expelled b/c in the books, IF you get expelled, they actually BREAK your wand, so you can't do magic anymore, and the twins were about to graduate, anyway . . . The unbreakable vow is stronger than a promise.
The Weasleys twins decided to drop out of school before their last year to open their magic shop (They said so in "Order of the Phoenix"). They decided to literally break all of Umbrage's rules and cause other mischief before they left.
Harry didn't want the money he won for winning the Tri-Wizard Cup ("Goblet of Fire"). He gave it to the Weasley twins to open their business and told them to buy Ron a new wand. He was their silent partner that no one else (except readers of the books) knew about.
Someone else explained the Half-Blood Prince which the movie fails to do. I believe this one is where the director decided that if it wasn't about Harry, they would leave it out of the movie. Bad move.
Ginny is attracted to Harry at first sight. There's a glimpse of it in the very first movie. I believe there's something similar in the first or second book. Maybe Harry noticing her?
Wood is no longer Quidditch captain because he's graduated from Hogwarts.

Butterbeer does have a small amount of alcohol in it, less than a light ale. Europe doesn't have the stringent laws against underage drinking that we have here. That is how house elf Winky gets drunk on Butterbean. The small amount of alcohol is strong for their small bodies.

This is set in the 90's (the books) and at the time there was not much regulation. I could buy alcohol and cigarettes from the age of 10-11, when I had to do groceries as a chore. Nobody asked what age I was. I did not smoke or drink at that age, the alcohol and cigarettes were for my parents, but on a school field trip my 15 yo me, my school mates and my teachers were all drinking beer in the local bar at the end of the trip 😅. My daughter is 14 now and this is not allowed today! It would be a large scandal and the teachers would be fired and the bar would lose its permit to sell alcohol.

Happy to see you guys back again..
Movies will never explain everything. And particularly this movie is the worst adaption from the books.
First thing you guys mentioned about the Weasley twins. They were neither expelled nor graduated. They left hogwarts by their own choice. It was always their dream to open a joke shop
And harry helped them to do that by giving them all his prize money he got from the Triwizard tournament.
Snape's mother was a pure blood witch named Eileen prince and his father was a muggle named Tobias snape.
He's a half-blood you see just like Harry and Voldemort.
And also like Dumbledore and McGonagall😊 i don't think you guys ever get that info about dumbledore and mcgonagall from the movie.
This movie cuts out the whole origin story of Voldemort from the books and gave us that destruction of the burrow (Weasley's home) scene. Which neither in the books and doesn't make any sense. It's only for some extra dramatic effect. Their home was hidden with a powerful charm that even Voldemort wouldn't find it but bella and fenrir did 😅😅
They don't show us the funeral of Dumbledore. Whole wizarding world came to hogwarts for mourning his death. wizards and witches from all over the world came to hogwarts. All the Cantaurs from the forbidden forest came and show their respect by shooting volley of arrows.
All the Mermen and Mermaids came out from the black lake next to the castle and sing in mourning. His Phoenix fawkes mourn and sings all along until the funeral is over and after that it leaves hogwarts and never seen anymore. For a moment harry wants to ask dumbledore something then realized he's gone forever never coming back and breaks down crying. Reading the book it hits very hard. You can get the feeling that it's not only harry who lost again someone close to him but the whole wizaring world lost someone. 😞😞

We’re so happy to be back watching HP with you guys again! WOW, you’re completely right… We can’t believe how much was actually left out of this movie from the book. I remember my wife turning to me and literally saying, “Why is Snape the half-blood prince?” which she should have never needed to ask except they slipped over the whole explanation. Dumbledore and McGonagall?! See, this is why we love your comments!! Never would’ve known that 😱. Now if there was a movie solely based on Voldemort’s childhood/origin story… We would immediately watch it! There’s so much mystery surrounding him and his motives (at least from the movie’s side of things). Considering Dumbledore’s reputation and legacy, we have no doubt that his funeral was fully packed from all over the world with different walks of life! This is a hard one for me, on the one hand it's probably my second favorite movie (after Deadly Hollows 2), on the other hand they left so much that was in the book.
1: Dumbledors meeting with the Dursleys. First. It sets up Dudleyd redemption arc (a part of it was filmed for Deadly Howells 1 but they had to cut it. I mean, having Dudley shake. Harry's hand and stand up to Aunt Patunia without any subtexts is a bit hard to explain). It also tells why Harry has to return to the Dursleys every year.
2: The story of the ring. The back story of Voltamores mother, his father, his Uncle and his great Uncle.
3: The meeting with the new Prime Minister of magic and Harry also Percy who has disowned his family and who has no trouble roughing up Harry. As you saw the last movie 4: It's been a while since I read the book but I could have sworn that Voldemort threatened to kill. Draco's father instead of him and that's why it affected him so much. That also makes Draco a little bit more sympathetic.

There are 2 artifacts created by the 4 founders which detect and determine eligibility to attend Hogwarts. So Tom Riddle was found and identified by these 2 artifacts and that information is conveyed to the Head Master I believe and a professor is sent to explain to the child and parents of muggles or just the child in case of Tom Riddle.
Butter Beer can contain alcohol but frequently does not. Think of Butter Beer as something like Root Beer (name wise) but maybe more sweet like Creme Soda. There are many recipes online to make it with and without alcohol.
The age of the kids in Hogwarts is easy as they all start their 1st year at 11. So 10 + the year they're in and their last year is 7 making them 17 and an adult in the wizarding world.
It's funny as everyone I've talked to about the scenes with Harry while under the influence of the liquid luck potion loved the way he acted but in an interview with Daniel Radcliffe I believe he really didn't like the way he did those scenes.
They explain in the books. Snape's mother's maiden name was Prince and she married a muggle thus making Snape the Half-Blood Prince.

What makes Dumbledores death significantly worse is how it went down in the books. Dumbledore put a spell on Harry freezing him in place, so he had to just stand there and watch him getting murdered, but thats not even the worst part... the Avada Kedavra isnt even what killed Dumbledore, the fall is. You have to MEAN it to kill someone with that spell, and now that I know you've watched the whole series I can point out that Severus never wanted to kill Dumbledore, so all the spell did was knock him off the tower and the fall killed him. You knew when he died because as soon as he hit the ground the spell on Harry ended. Spells you cast end the moment you die, and Harry was frozen during the entire fall.

Voldemort didn’t expect that Draco would succeed in kiIIing Dumbledore. He gave Draco the task as punishment for Lucius Malfoys failures. The diary Horcrux was destroyed in Lucius’ plot to open the Chamber of Secrets then he failed to retrieve the prophecy in the Department of Mysteries.
Voldemort was furious so decided to punish the Malfoys by giving Draco a job that he, Voldemort, thought the boy couldn’t do & then told the Malfoys that he would kiII the boy when he failed.
Believing that Draco would not succeed Voldemort told Snape of the plan with the understanding that Snape would do it once Draco failed. That’s why Snape told Draco’s mother, Narcissa, that he was aware of her situation & agreed to make the Unbreakable Vow, which is much more than a promise. If you break an Unbreakable Vow you will die.
Every reactor I’ve seen is confused about the Horcruxes. Young Tom Riddle had already made one Horcrux, the ring he was wearing, when he asked Slughorn about them. He needed to know if it was safe to create another Horcrux so he asked Slughorn if it was possible to split the SOUL seven times, which means he planned to create six Horcruxes while the 7th piece of his tattered soul remained inside his body.
It was the part of the soul in his body that fled the Potter’s ruined house after his body was destroyed in the failed attack on baby Harry. It hid in the forests of Albania where Quirrell encountered it & bought it back to Britain. It was that piece of Voldemort’s soul that was used when Peter Pettigrew resurrected him in Goblet of Fire.
All Muggleborns are visited by a Hogwarts professor when they are old enough to attend the school. Muggles don’t know anything about the magical community so an acceptance letter to Hogwarts delivered by an owl wouldn’t go over well. So a representative from Hogwarts goes to their home & explains everything to the parents & child. Tom Riddle isn’t a Muggleborn since his mother was a witch but she died giving birth & he was raised in a Muggle orphanage so Dumbledore had to go there to tell Tom he was a wizard & explain about Hogwarts. There’s actually a magical quill which writes the names of all young witches & wizards into Hogwarts’ Book of Acceptance & once the magical child is old enough to attend the school at 11 yrs old they are notified by either letter or a visit from a staff member.

This movie is so weird. It's like the screenwriter read the book, saw the title, and just said "let's forget about this half-blood prince or Voldemort's past, let's do a teenage love movie instead. And since there is not much action, let's just invent some action scenes that will do nothing for the plot so no risk there.". Why would they make-up new useless scenes instead of using the ones from the book, i'll never understand. Anyway, i'll watch your reaction now. I hope you'll still enjoy it. It has its moment i guess.

    • @turntsnaco824
      @turntsnaco824 Před 7 měsíci

The thing is though, the teenage romance was like one of the major focuses of this book, with Harry occasionally delving into a memory with Dumbledore, or investigating the HBP. So it's not necessarily wrong to include that stuff, because that IS what the book was largely about until the end. If they took it out, people would be upset it wasn't included, and would feel like the film didn't really accurately adapt the book.
But I agree that they could have not added a new action scene, and spent more time on Voldemort's past. I think the problem is just, a lot of those memories and the stuff about his past loses context without having most or all of them, so they probably just had a hard time coming up with one or two more memories they could include that I didn't feel either completely random or like it was the beginning or something that they never really got off the ground with.
I mean with every new memory from a different time, you have to explain who all the people in the memory are and what they are doing and what the significance of that is to the rest of the story.... Again, I would have liked to see a version of this film that went more into Baltimore's past because that was some of the most fascinating stuff in the entire series - but, I can understand how this book became this movie.
Or maybe they could have just given more time to the mystery of the HBP, so that Snape's reveal at the end would have actually meant something....

    • @ptitepeluche05
      @ptitepeluche05 Před 7 měsíci +1

@@turntsnaco824 sure it was a really hard book to adapt. Specially the Half-Blood Prince obsession, because it happens in Harry's mind. We can read it in a book but it's difficult to just show it in a movie. Althought, they did a pretty good job with Harry's anger and loneliness the previous movie. The teenage drama is present in the book but that's not the main focus for me. Even if they focus on that part, the things that annoy me the most are the changes and addition they made. Like why cut off completely the battle in Hogwarts at the end, and then just create a stupid action scene in the middle because the movie doesn't have enough action ? Why change Harry and Ginny's relationship so much to the point it's painful to watch ? Why having the Order of the Pheonix come to get Harry from the Dursleys to headquarters in the previous film if he can just wander around in the subway without risk. Why having Harry and Hermione talk about all the plans with Ron sitting alone 5 meters away from them like he's not involved. It's even more frustrating when you see the deleted scenes. Like they actually chose to create stupid scenes with Lavender crushing on Ron instead of moments between Dumbledore and Harry.

That's what happens with Hermione, they send someone to explain to her parents what she is and where she's to go attend, unlike kids with parents as wizards they already know and expect a litter to arrive for their kids, they don't send them representatives to explain. 👌🏻
And Dumbledore was not a headmaster at the time! Just a transfiguration professor like McGonagall!
31:17 yes! Although she's a Ravenclaw just like you Daniella! She's just going all the way to support her Gryffindor friends! ❤ The lion was actually roaring in the books 😂❤
45:25 Lol Daniella I get you 😂 but they did establish in the book that he asked her as a friend and she was so touched he considered her a true friend like Hermione she said yes! I'd go with you as friends! 😍
Everybody used to cast her aside and call her Looney but since Harry's classes last movie the group included her and they became all buddies the trio, her, Neville and Ginny! Specially Harry and Ginny they held her very dear 😍❤

At the time when Dumbledore went to the orphanage to get Tom Riddle he was doing the job that McGonagall, does now at that time he was not Headmaster he was basically second in command I can't spell his name but someone in the comments I know will be able to. He was the Headmaster and Dumbledore worked Underneath Him, whenever there's a muggle born they send out a professor to speak with the parents as well as with the child and help them get to Diagon Alley to make their purchases, as well as talk them through everything about the Wizarding world.

Ok, so let's focus on the good parts.
    Slughorn's actor is great.
The 2 Voldemort memories we got are good. Teenage Voldemort in particular.
There are some great comedic moments, like Snape ignoring Harry or Harry being high on Felix Felicis.
I like the story about the gold fish.
I like Draco and Dumbledore's confrontation.
The cave scene is good too.

Luv this! U see deatheaters wreaking havoc on the muggles, we notice Albus’ hand has recently blackened in some areas, suspenseful stuff right away. Fred/George left school and used the winning gold Harry gave them to start their business, he told them to buy Ron some different dress robes (GoF ch. 37) Daniela: “He so unhappy with himself” I agree and feel the same with you on what you said about Draco, Lucius is in prison, he failed to bring the prophecy sphere to Voldy, that angers him greatly, as a result Voldy gives Draco a task to do and he is sure that Draco will fail, Voldy would kill Draco. Not a spoiler, in my mind, I was thinking Voldy wants to make an example out of the Malfoys at some point. I also feel your analysis on young Tom, Daniela, however, there are other factors in the book that also contribute to why Tom is the way he is. I didn’t miss the look on Draco’s face when he found that dead bird in the cabinet, he’s worried even more so about not fixing the cabinet and he is nearly having a break down in the girl's restroom, he's stressing out. 55:29 that scene is when I threw my book to the floor, that was my “No, I don’t like what I’m reading.”, “That is not going to happen” moment I am so glad Snape was nearby to heal Draco. @@TheHappyCryers Well, I didn't want to get too detail about the storyline about Tom when he was younger, I didn't want risk spoiling it for you just in case you intended to read the books one day. I felt bad for Draco while reading the books, He's still a minor in the books at this point and I feel he was pressured so much that he melted down in the restroom, he now knows what he and his family are up against when it comes to survival. Just keep this quote in mind when watching the last movie. "Not everything is as it seems, and not everything that seems is." Looking forward to you two watching the last movie and if you're interested perhaps the 20th anniversary Return to Hogwarts, that will be a nice treat, the actors are so grown up now and that special focuses on nearly some of the actors talking about their time filming and behind the scenes action. Dumbledore probably could've found a way for the twins to be able to come back for their 7th year, but the reason the twins didn't care about getting in trouble was they had already decided they didn't want to specialize in any career that 7th year courses help with. They had already decided they wanted their own business, expanded from their "side hustle" they did in school. Harry offered them his prize money from being the official winner of the Tri Wizard Cup. He didn't want it, felt like it was blood money due to Cedric's death, & he already had money from his parents & also Sirius. They didn't accept it as a pure gift though, as they didn't want to seem like they were begging, even though they had nothing of value to get them a big enough loan from the bank. What they did was consider it as an investment, making Harry a silent minority owner. They do all the work & use their knowledge to make it a success, & he provided the start-up money. So technically he owns something like 10-20% of the business, at least for a number of years until the loan is paid back with the amount of interest the twins insist is fair, because the twins don't want Harry to feel taken advantage of. But all this was done privately. It's been so long since I read the books I don't even remember if anyone other than the twins know. Pretty sure Ron doesn't. Maybe the twins told their parents, just in case something happened to them? Or at least told them how to access their business records in case of emergency?

I maintain this film is Draco's.
This is the film that lifts Draco from 2-dimensional to fully-fleshed-out character. It established a redemptive arc that continues throughout the remainder of the franchise.
Draco's family is broadsided by the scandal of Lucius's involvement with Voldemort. The Wizarding World is still traumatized by Voldemort's first attempt at world domination in the First Wizarding World War; that's a lot of what kept Minister Fudge from admitting Voldemort might have returned as well as why people STILL don't speak Voldemort's name (more on that later).
Lucius is arrested, tried, and put in Azkaban, for which he is in no way prepared to endure; it breaks him. On top of that, the shame of being in cahoots with Voldemort levels whatever political influence or power Lucius has developed over time. The Malfoys end up social pariahs. And Draco blames Harry.
Voldemort is furious with Lucius. He's already pressed Lucius on why he and his buddies Crabbe, Goyle, and McNabb never went looking for Voldy when he lost his physical body and power; it took Voldemort 13 years to get back into physical form. Then Voldemort works on Harry to trust the visions Voldemort sent to him, so Harry would come and find the Prophesy; Voldy believes there is information in the Prophesy that may bear on Harry's success or failure in stopping Voldemort. And Lucius drops the Prophesy and breaks it, while also drawing attention to Voldemort being back.
Voldemort is furious with Lucius, but Lucius is out of reach in Azkaban. So, Voldemort takes over Malfoy Manor, then recruits a raging and willing Draco to become a Death Eater, then gives Draco a couple special tasks that Voldemort expects Draco won't be able to complete. Voldemort is planning to kill Draco for the failure, further causing Lucius suffering. And Draco has no clue.
But as time goes on, Draco comes to question, then regret his decision to join Voldemort's ranks. I can't help but see some of the 'light' showing from within Draco when his white shirtsleeves then his whole white shirt is exposed while he cries in the lavatory. I always wonder where the story would have gone if Harry had only stopped to question why Draco was crying.
    ___________________________________________________________________________________________
Dumbledore is only about 115 by this time, middle-aged.
Wizards/witches have double the lifespan of muggles. Average life of a muggle is 75, for wizards/witches it's 150. Either can live a bit longer or lesser than the average.
    ___________________________________________________________________________________________
Every witch/wizard has a signature talent. Examples: Harry's is flying, Hermione's is spellcraft, Dumbledore's is fire, Snape's is potions, Hagrid's is magical beasts, Neville's is herbology, Seamus's is explosions.
    ___________________________________________________________________________________________
It's a kind take to say young 'Tommy' Riddle was hurting from his circumstances (losing parents, etc), but it's more accurate to say Tom was not born bad but born organically broken, the way children born of mothers who smoked or used hard drugs have limits that arose from chemical exposure.
If it was just emotional or psychological issues, that might be healed. But the effect on children conceived from one or both parents dosed with love potions is to leave the resulting child without empathy, compassion, or capacity to love. Tom was not born 'bad' but broken. He couldn't help being this way and eventually he basically rotted from the inside.
    ___________________________________________________________________________________________
Harry saw how Ron was acting about someone snogging his sister; Harry was hiding the fact that he was attracted to Ginny so his best friend wouldn't get upset. Ron's mind wanders off to Hermione because Ron STILL hasn't figured out he's attracted to her. It's starting to get weird, so Harry shuts it down...

The Half-Blood Prince title is never addressed in the movies, so this is not a spoiler but rather an omission from the book. At some point the trio discovers an old yearbook showing a woman named Eileen Prince, who later is discovered to be Snape's witch mother, and he had an extremely abusive Muggle father from whom the name Snape comes from, via memories Harry sees via the Occlumency lessons in Order of the Phoenix. Hence...Half-Blood Prince. He was casting off his father's name as a student, much like Voldemort did. So why then, did he decide to remain Snape in the end?

Butterbeer is actually not a beer, it's made of syrup, cream, etc. They are not old enough to drink in the movie (they are 16). Butterbeer is 100% non-alcoholic.
And Luna with Harry ................. noooooooo, don't do ______________ dirty. Luna and ___________ already have sad ending in the books you don't have to do this right now. And luna is ready to go since she is considered a wierdo so people probably don't want to go with her.
as for hermione having feelings for ron, it's not new we have seen hints between them since part 4, example the ballroom dance and it's aftermath in Goblet of Fire.
Dumbledore's arm gets affected when he tried to destroy a horcrux (the ring).
Draco is a bully on the outside but not evil. movies destroy draco's arc. They shot a scene in the last movie which completed his arc perfectly according to the books but idk why they chose to delete the scene from theatrical release.
I know a lot of people praise this movie for being dark, and it is very dark from storyline pov but the best thing about this movie is the background colour palette, if you notice properly the colour palette changes according to the scene we are in and tone of the scene, like it gets nearly black and white in harry vs draco scene in the bathrooms like an old school detective flick. Just wanted to show some appreciation of the one who did that.

Butterbeer actually does have a little bit of alcohol! It's not enough for a person to get drunk on drinking one (and I believe in the UK the drinking age is 16 anyway) but if you drink a lot of them you probably could. We find that out when one of the House Elves develops a butterbeer addiction. Harry's confused because it doesn't have a lot of alcohol in it, but it's explained that House Elves are much, much smaller, so they can get drunk on them fairly easily.
