    I will show you how to make your own homemade fog juice for a fog machine. All it takes is Glycerin that you can get at any drug store or Walmart and distilled water. I calculated wrong in the video, the instructions actually make a 20% solution, but it works great as it is, if you want to make it 25% reduce the water down to 18Ozs. If you make the 25% let me know if it works better!!
    Check out my other video that shows how to make a fog chiller to keep your fog low to the ground, • Homemade Fog Chiller. ...

    Thank you for the video. It truly helped me. Please note (and maybe this makes for the result to be slightly thicker fog), if you're goal is a 25% solution of Glycerin, the ratio used in the video is wrong. The total volume of the solution made in this example is 30 fl oz. Therefore, the solution created in this video was a 20% mixture. A 25% mixture of glycerin in this example would have required 6 oz glycerin to 18 oz water (24 total oz) or 8 oz of glycerin to 24 oz water (32 total oz).
    To solve for the amount of water to use to reach your desired dilution: (volume glycerin / desired solution strength) - volume glycerin. Example: (6oz / .25) - 6oz = 24 - 6 = 18.
    OR to make it really simple, if you want a 25% solution, that is simply 3 parts to 1 part mixture, so 6 oz glycerin * 3 = 18 oz water (resulting in a total volume of 24 oz). Simply: Amount of Glycerin * 3 to know the amount of water to add if you want a 25% mixture.

If you buy a gallon of distilled water and make this, you can technically then fill the remainder of the gallon with glycerine and have the same 25% mixture. Oh yea. The numbers are wrong though. Most say 30% so if you wanted to make 1 Gallon of the mix at 30% glycerin it would be 128oz * .30 = 38.4 Oz of gylcerin or we can just round it down and say 38oz of Glycerin which is 4 3/4 cups of glycerin added to 128oz * .70 = 90 oz (rounded up) of distilled water. So a good formula is 90oz (which is 3 quarts minus one 3/4 cup) and 38oz of glycerin (4 and 3/4 Cups) . I didn't go to college but I paid attention to my free public schooling in years K-12.

    would it be ok to use RO (Filtered) Water instead of Distilled Water? My RO gets my water all the way down to less than 20ppm Sometimes even less than 10ppm. Seems the reason to use the "Distilled" Water is to keep minerals and contaminants from clogging up the machine and with as little as 20 parts per million dissolved solids > It seems to me that it would be fine. ??? I am trying to do the math here: 1 gallon of store bought fogger juice is around $19.00. Your Glycerin is $4.00 for 6 oz, which you mix with distilled water to get 30 oz. So if I skip the distilled water cost, the home made version is $4.00 for 30 oz. 1 gallon is 128 oz., divided by 30 oz., that means I get 4.266 batches for $4.00 per batch to be equivalent to store bought. So 4.266 x $4.00 is $17.06. Slightly cheaper, but not much, than store bought at $19.00. I was looking at the video to save money, but not sure you are much / worth it. I do think it is a great video, I am just making sure I am not missing something on the math.

    there's a negative effect on this smoke when you inhale it, before I used this experiment i have no problem on breathing but after I test this and use it regularly on my personal occasions and gigs, I have problem breathing and sometimes, headache, palpitation. Ever since I stopped using this my breath feels normal again

    I wanna know if you can add a small amount of flavor to it, to give it a nice smell without plugging up the machine. Probably gonna experiment a little before someone talks me out of it though.

      Tazz Brills Yes, it will tint the fog. It will not saturate it with color, but it will give it a tinted hue. Blue and green work best.

    • @Bartetmedia

      90 to 100% pure Vegetable glycerin. Distilled water keeps your fog machine from clogging compared to tap water.

    Seems like the $12.00 6 OZ bottle of glycerin from Walmart, making 30 OZ of juice is a lot more expensive than the store bought stuff! ! 1 Gal = 128 OZ divided by 30 = 4.27. 4.27X $12 = 51.24 per gallon without tax! Where do you get 6 OZ of glycerin for $4? Even at $4 per 30 OZ (before taxe) comes to $17.00 a gallon. If you use the vegetable glycerin it is cheaper! 16 OZ bottle is $11.00!

    • @doublereno
      @doublereno  Před 5 lety

      Walmart online has 2 pack for $7.45 right now, , believe this is vegetable glycerin, so it still comes out a little cheaper, some people like me just like making stuff homemade too, Its whatever you choose to do, thanks for watching
