Yesterday and today some big drama has been happening in the FGC with a particular individual by the name of MachoorTV. He's openly bigoted and has been called out for sending nude pictures of himself to girls on twitter. Then blocking them when they ignore him. This is a prime example of how not to act in the FGC.

And the big shame about it is: at first he seemed like a chill guy when he was putting out tutorials and stuff.
But as soon as he started gaining some popularity, he started showing his real personality. And it was nothing more than a deep pit of negativity, first within the context of the game and then into irl topics as well. That was the moment I had to cut him off even way before his recent tirade

Fwiw, my gf is Saudi and I've spent a few months in Riyadh as a foreigner coming from America. Surprisingly there are people who are openly gay (flamboyant even), even though the laws explicitly prohibit it and people will judge them. It feels a bit like the Saudi government is kind of not prosecuting a lot of it, but they still have the right and they won't make a statement on it which is seriously problematic.
Now I'm not saying Saudi is OK because it definitely is not, however I was a bit surprised that the people there were not as crazy bigoted as I expected.
That's not a defense of Saudi so much in it's current state, but it does feel like something that might officially change in the future.

For all those who support Capitalism, morality and Capitalism is on a sliding scale on opposite ends. The more money you have the opportunity to collect, the less morals matter. The basis of capitalism is to make your profit margin as efficient and high as possible and the reality is that without throwing morals or ethics out the window you will reach a ceiling where you simply cannot grow further and will be capped. Then when you factor it's a cut throat pvp environment in real life, you essentially are posed with the dilemma of be moral and die off (because everyone else is surpassing you by using these non ethical practices and will eventually kill you off) or break the rules like everyone else to thrive. In my opinion a system that essentially promotes negative behavior is not a very good system long term. I think it works out great during the early stages as it promotes innovation and ingenuity but once it's developed to a certain point it doesn't become about that anymore but about how many corners you can cut to get yourself ahead the furthest. It's simply not sustainable and I think we've reached a point where it's just starting to be problematic.

I was actually watching this (or one of them) stream when he was talking about equality in women's rights and normalizing work-related deaths. I think he was saying such bold statements that I couldn't figure out to be shocked or disappointed.
