Thank you for this thorough and informative video. A friend from Costa Rica just gave me Atis (what we call it in the Philippines) seeds from the fruit she just ate. I'm looking forward to growing them. I live in South Florida. I've never grown anything from seed. How tall do they get?

      Thank you so much!
Since you're in Florida, where they'll flourish, they might grow at least 10 feet tall. You can definitely grow them from seeds and in the ground. Many Annona fruits grow very well in south Florida, for what I hear.
I'll say that growing them from seed is faster compared to other tropical fruit trellis. They still may not grow from seeds but they're reliable. My first sugar apple from seed produced one fruit at three years old! That's still impressive!

What kind of fertilizer did you use during flowering?

    • @shamrockgirl804

I use 'bloom boosting' or high phosphorus granular fertilizer. I gave the seedlings about 1.5 tablespoons every 5-6 weeks.

hi i have sugar apple seedling but leaves turning black and fall 😢 why?

At the time of those comment, my seedlings were dropping their old leaves when their winter greenhouse was getting warmer and receiving more sunlight. Sugar Apples may shed and replace their leaves in the spring.
As long as it grows new leaves, it's a normal occurrence. It's shocking, but they'll make new leaves and even new flowers!

Although the US Hardiness Zones updated in late 2023, my specific area is still in Zone 8b. Most areas in Texas moved up a zone.
