Hi. I own a Sony a6300 with Tamron 17-70. Do you think it's worth lossing tamron's VC in exchange with longer range?

Thank you for your comment.👍 With your camera, I would rather recommend the Tamron 18-300mm. It has a stabilizer and it is sharp. I will also be doing a review on it in the next few weeks. I'm currently testing it on the A6400. So stay tuned. 😉

@@dawa5581 is it sharper than the 28-200? But 18-300 starts at f3.5... I think it's a downgrade if it's going to be slower than f2.8

It depends. On the one hand is starts at f2.8 but it change from 32mm to f3.2. The other lens starts from 18mm and it end at 300mm and it’s stabilized on top. This gives you an anvantage on the long tele end.

Thank you for your comment. 👍 Unfortunately, the 24-200mm is not in the same league as these two lenses. I had it a few years ago and it really wasn't good quality. It was not sharp almost everywhere and it had slow autofocus and strong chromatic aberrations. I really can't recommend it.
