Grads on holding the last "killerrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr".
If Rockband had the expert+ option with double bass pedal, it would superior to Guitar Hero. Sadly, that is not the case. The drums are so damn undercharted.
Actually i do belive the game recognizes for main song if a singular or a double bass pedal is in use. Adjusting the bass pedal frequency to the amount of pedals. I do belive its a nice touch, since some songs on Guitar Hero could be unFCable or unbeatable because someone is lacking the second pedal. Community made songs usually come with a normal version and a "(2x Bass Pedal)" Version. Obviously you will know the difference between them,
They do make a 2X Bass Pedal version of songs, I'm not sure if Painkiller is among them. The game gives you songs for only one pedal. For the double version forget the bass notes in between snares, it is a non-stop double bass with your legs going up and down. In the first drum solo you have two quick doubles, and in certain parts you have to hammer the pedals with the balls of your feet! The only way I could see somebody FC'ing a double bass version is if they have an ION or any other electronic kit.
I couldn't even imagine being the drummer on this song... everyone sitting at 100% and it all comes down to you not making any mistakes on the outro... at least you don't have to worry about the double bass i guess.
Scott Travis literally played drums outside of a Priest concert to be noticed, his first album was Painkiller. Safe to say, there's a reason he stuck around.
I just watched a full band fc of through the fire and flames, and it's insane how easy this now looks. (Spoken from a drummer who has played both in real life)
@mrmusicverse ar maybe its like guitar hero 5, you can import songs from previous games and now with doble bass pedal (only in the songs that have it) sorry for my bad english, im mexican, so i speak spanish
It's a shame they overlayed audio of just the song on top of the video footage. I always love hearing everyone's reactions at the end and didn't get to hear it this time!
RB2 lists the bass difficulty as the 5 devils, or the highest difficulty rating... but the bass part is not really hard at all it's almost all just repeated strings of notes
Rock Band really screws around with its in-disc songs so that there's a roughly equal spread of songs in each difficulty tier. That, and it's probably good PR for Harmonix if they included at least one song that they deem devil on all instruments (For RB2 it was always going to either be this or Panic Attack. Given Rob Halford's monstrous performance though, it's got to be Painkiller.)
Well, coming from someone who's played this on Expert, I think this IS a pretty tough Bass track, but it's definitely the easiest out of the 4 instruments on this song. The hardest sections are the fast strumming in the chorus and the parts at 2:07 and 4:29. This song is not to be underestimated, so I highly recommend running through the chorus and the RYB parts as many times as needed in Practice Mode, or if you need to, play this song on Hard until you can play Expert as best as possible.
weird how that works right lol. I remember way back when I played this game that songs like this were impossible. Now they seem so easy, and I haven't played in like 4-5 years.
Im getting Rock Band 3 soon and i have a drumkit from GH with only 1 pedal question 1: Will it work? (i read that it should) question 2: Are there settings that allow like songs to fit 1 pedal style? (half the pedals in quite fucking quick sections)
1: It will work. The orange pad will act as a cymbal for the green tom. 2: Every song will include single pedal. The only double bass songs I can think of are some Rock Band Network tracks or custom songs. But side from that, every official Rock Band Track should be single bass only.
Nah, I like it when they keep it the way they did. Only the drums are pulling off something crazy, while the others aren't. Plus, people would have missed an opportunity to sing the long final note.
Trust me, I know. Though you've got to think of all the people who aren't musically inclined playing this game. If the chart were near what is actually being played, those musical novices would probably cut themselves at the site.
Sometimes a deep breath and the strong of heart can beat a long line singing piece easly. Altough you will feel lightheaded as fuck and you will feel like you're about to pass out. Worth it tho. Other possibility is to just fill the bar which is needed to pass the phrase and just say "fuck it not singing the rest"
jmt1000 it's not broken. it's just not really what is being played. with guitar hero the chart are the real chords of the song or more close to the real chord. here it's just to make it playabe. and the drum chart is lacking so many notes
Nettacki Yeah, but this is just simply overcharted. Check out 3:37. I've gotten past that clusterfuck of 12% of the solo's notes once, and only once. Listen closely, and there's nowhere near that many notes, at least at the beginning. That thing is worse than Panic Attack, where they made the main riff played one octave higher played using mainly the orange fret, and the opening of Run To The Hills (Original Version). At least those are beatable more than 5% of the time.
Everestkid I've listened to it and saw the chart and it's nowhere near as overcharted as you suggest it is. Alright I admit it is slightly overcharted, but not so much that it's significantly harder than if it were properly charted.
The singer is a monster to keep that last scream ;-;
Vinnie Locker ive never player rock band; do you need to keep the pitch, or just speak?
It's Gohn! Yes you need to keep the pitch
Fuck, that high A at 2:04 is a whole step above my max range on a really good day. On most days, it's a full fourth above my range.
Smurfman256 it's WAYYYY above mine lol. That's actually insane
Indeed, Rob Halford is such a legend
holy shit he actually held killer for the full 16 seconds at the end
SINDGO3M0N idk if he ACTUALLY did. is there a trick im not sure of?
Antonyo337 Have another person jump in before you run out of air on the same pitch
Yeah, you drop octave and and do it real casual. The trick of RB singing is not to over do it
That Rob Halford for ya!!! METAL GODDDDDD
It's 20 seconds, if that makes it a bit more impressive lol
Rob Halford ladies and gentlemen, Rob Halford.
I damn near blew my lungs out singing this song. Dear God....

@@sanicpl1499 not only the pedal but also some drum notes arent there
it's a video game, calm the hell down.

czcams.com/video/uRo9h9ORg_Q/video.html is not pro drums but is 2x bass pedal.
Painkillerrrrrrrrrrrrr*gasp*errrrrrrrrrrrrr
EDIT: holy shit that's a lot of likes
That's me when I play this song.
I couldn't even imagine being the drummer on this song... everyone sitting at 100% and it all comes down to you not making any mistakes on the outro... at least you don't have to worry about the double bass i guess.

Man I love this fbfc
Your drummer is a God!
He's not even playing all of the notes
@ThePaintedFox Minecraft no he isn't
RIP kickpedal.
This has been one of my favorite songs, and I am very happy to see it done. Personally, I think it looks better in RB3 than RB2.
damn, this game was awesome a decade ago..that song was insane..well done, especially the guy on the drums
love the drum and guitar solo !
They are either gods or robots,Holy Shet
i love how the drums kept to the song instead of someone completely ruining it with a random solo during the freeplay
one of the best songs ever
This song is fun as heck on drums
Learning the bass for this was underwhelming 😅
But the bass for Halls of Valhalla isn't. You will feel a bit winded maybe...
wow... props to all involved! even the screamer ;)
DAMN!, I think that this is the 2nd hardest overall RB2 song to fbfc, (behind Visions), NICE JOB!!
Very nice guys :D
Adam Eccles Dude your name freaking rocks
Adam Eccleston So does yours :D
Dear Drummer,
My dream is to be like u and what's the method for the pedal
practice
Can't - stop - the - pain - kill - eeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeer!!! Pain!!
Look at the Guitar, Drums, and Vocals. See how challenging they are?
Now look at the Bass.
@Keitarooou I totally agree. Harmonix Music Systems should consider using a double kick pedal option for the drum parts in their next Rock Band game.
I used to love that song lol
Used to? USED TO?!?!
nice job friends
Dang it I wish I could sing like Rob Halford. Awesome dude.
Whoa!
holy cow s2
guitar will always be harder
I keep rewatching cuz I'm never gonna get that good I can barely get though it on easy (drums)
@Blakeison2112 xNegative was the bassist, Jprez was guitar, Santos was drums, and Vixenita was vocals.
wow, this is in frikkin 60 fps :DD
eris94 you should feel satisfied right about now 😯
The Painkiller(Judas priest) vs The Vengeful One(Disturbed)
Who do you think would win?
(Between the characters, not the songs)
I remember Beast Mode's FBFC of this. Beast Mode had some pretty good FCs for the time.
@mrmusicverse ar maybe its like guitar hero 5, you can import songs from previous games and now with doble bass pedal (only in the songs that have it)

How is this possible?! I tried it with my friends and failed miserably.
lets see if the bar goes down.
GodDAMN...
New game take a shot every time the drummer hits the pedal
RB2 lists the bass difficulty as the 5 devils, or the highest difficulty rating... but the bass part is not really hard at all it's almost all just repeated strings of notes
god I'm looking at that and even i could do it. and i havent even fc medium difficulty on this
Rock Band really screws around with its in-disc songs so that there's a roughly equal spread of songs in each difficulty tier. That is one hard bass part
sexiness.
damn this shit cray..
That drummer dont skip leg day
“Yeah, I could do that.”
If only it was even remotely as difficult to FC this on vocals as to actually sing it...
for about a year i've had strong feeling that ben was going to be guitar for this song. weird.
Did anyone else notice that the singer held that entire last note?
why does seem slower now? when i played it it seems so fast but now i can just see everything fine
weird how that works right lol. I remember way back when I played this game that songs like this were impossible. Now they seem so easy, and I haven't played in like 4-5 years.
I do belive the "Breakneck speed" is disabled for players.
You may think it was faster due to it. if its a different reason then i dont know.
So to do the cowbell wouldn't you just slap your hand against the microphone I haven't sung in a couple years and I'm just making sure
Im getting Rock Band 3 soon and i have a drumkit from GH with only 1 pedal

BassSinger313 / Aaron Vo Ah. Thanks for the explanation! Me and my bro will have some fun!
woow the drums are very undercharted in the outro..
@zie959585 they do chart some songs with double bass
metal head
Notable
Shoutout to the singer that is a fucking monster
First FBFC on RB3?
lol how come you just put an audio of the song, during the fills the original kept playing
you don't hear the drummers fills if you're playing any other instrument online...
What/how many songs 'til RB2 FGFBFC?
lol that bass bro
Was honestly a lot easier than I thought on guitar thanks to overdrive.
I'm going to get rock band 3 and do a electric guitar
but the undercharted outro though
Rip drummer's leg in the guitar solo
Is custom songs free on rb3 still? If so im really considering just buy a dumrum kit for 3 and switching back with friends from rb4
It is indeed! Far better of an option than RB4, if you ask me.
daysleeper318 tight I'll hopefully find a good deal on a kit for 360
What are those black circles on the vocals during the solo? Never seen those before. =/
AriochStarr clapping and smacking your microphone
butterfly0277
Ahh, imteresting. Cheers, mate.
awsome again, r u guys all girls or no
That too. The no one could do either of them.
painkiller is from judas priest
Wow! Although this song is hardcore it's one of the hardest songs in Rock Band history.
Ain't a rock band but you are definitely right
How did you get this song in Rock Band 3?
+Tom the Demon (Lock) They purchased an Import Key to import most of Rock Band 2's setlist into Rock Band 3. Painkiller is one of the RB2 songs.
Just simplified to one bass pedal, as is the intro and a few of the fills. This song wasn't made to support double bass. :D
Is this first FBFC?
this sounds badass on 2x speed. lmao
They should've had a Big Rock Ending at the end instead of a drum solo.
Nah, I like it when they keep it the way they did. Only the drums are pulling off something crazy, while the others aren't. Plus, people would have missed an opportunity to sing the long final note.
Is it me or does the singer look a bit like Lima from Pokemon Sun and Moon?
Wow....but how? In the f**k did the guitarist get 100% on BOTH FUCKING SOLOS!!!!!..Epic!!
@zie959585 why are you getting angry?
*sight :>
I think we can all agree bass is hardest
That drummer has more work then the guitar dude and the bass
@ApolloTheHound Less than a quarter.
@SomeMexicanGuy17 think panic attack is harder
please mind r own bis.
How can i get this song?
It's on rock band 2
+Spoodermen Produktionz But i think this is not playable anymore in rock band 3, just for those who already made the song transfer to rb3.
@DeployTheTigers im not, in other words rock band doesnt chart double bass >.
Trust me, I know.
Though you've got to think of all the people who aren't musically inclined playing this game. If the chart were near what is actually being played, those musical novices would probably cut themselves at the site.
drums is the hardest by far
I feel sorry for the Drums
:')
I'm so dead 😂 I can only do painkiller easy mode :)
Same here except on vocals as a kid I could fc this one on any difficulty these days not so much
Dear singer
HOW TEH FUCK U HOLD IN THAT LAST SCREAM!
Dear drum player
How do you get all the pedals
i think if i don't count the guitar solo, drums would defiantly be harder. but with the guitar solo, its harder.
how arent vocals harder?
Sometimes a deep breath and the strong of heart can beat a long line singing piece easly.
