Fuck this song. Stopped caring about squeezing after I hit solo 4B and 5 in the same run. This engine makes this song hella difficult. This was the last song I needed to get my first FGFC back in 2013. Still have Misirlou, Six, and Trogdor to record FCs for. - Hry
I miss this game SO MUCH. this is how I discovered megadeth and a lot of other great rock and metal bands.
I got a Deathbat tattoo a few years ago because GH2 got me into Avenged Sevenfold back in 2008
And I switched mostly to rock/metal as well

Agreed, and honestly, I think people are too quick to shit on it. While it’s obviously not a direct replacement for a real guitar, I absolutely believe it helps with dexterity, getting a feel for how to hold a guitar and getting your hands moving, it absolutely translates to guitar. Obviously you’re not going to be able to pick up a guitar and play the same songs you just played on guitar hero, BUT.. i believe that it will absolutely make it easier to learn.

Trying to FC these parts but at least I got a 100% with an overstrum. I played with a DualShock controller as a child and remember this song being impossible that I quit.I didn’t know about the greatness of a song that was Free Bird.
Min Chan Mon Traditionally solo 4b is considered to be the hardest to FC. Interesting that you found it differently (5, 7, and especially 9 are, I’m guessing the most frequent “choke” points, although it’s not really a choke since they’re all difficult in and of themselves).
@@chambeet Hmm, i only find 7 to be somewhat hard, but it looks to be totally cheeseable. I dunno, i don't find this song to be that hard anymore, but then again there are wayyy harder songs out now so it's hard to compare hahah
@@TheBreadSliceMaster I stopped playing the newer games after GH3, so I can't speak to the newer songs, but you must be a good strummer then, if 5 and 9 are easier for you than 7. They're all probably equally tough to me, and honestly, I can probably hit more of 5 and 9 than 7, too, but I'm also probably a better strummer than fretter. 4B is rough, though, any way you look at it. The GH2 engine in itself is pretty strict.
@@chambeet Strumming can be easy to control if you try to focus on just the speed of reaching every downstrum. Instead of focusing on the speed of every up and down strum, focus on when you reach your downstrum again. Fury of the Storm in GH6 has a good section to learn to control that. It's all about breaking down the strumming to a easier way to track how you're doing it. And that speed is literally no challenge whatsoever IMO.
Also I am aware of the GH2 engine being way too strict with huge latency and very low hitboxes, but I've lived a luxury life of Clone Hero for a while now so I can't speak for GH2.

@@LuigiTheMetal64 clone hero called it gamepad mode and I think that works pretty well, it's understandable he said dualshock tho cause it's very likely not many people know about the 360 version

Hangar 18 is definitely harder to fc than Freebird. Freebird is more tedious but the solo patterns is easier to follow than Hangar 18.

I play all instruments and my best FC for guitar is ttfaf gh3 version. Almost got the smash hits version. Also best drum FC is won't get fooled again.

This song is why I never beat this game on expert. I could do Free Bird fine but I would always fail this one at the very end of it.
I have got to like 90% a few times but always failed there
This is the 1st career song in the series that i couldn't beat. My endurance is definitely good enough where i can do free bird because the solo's are not as crazy as this song and there are enough breaks that allow you to get star power.

guitarheroROXS the even more frustrating thing about the Harmonix engine is that you experience a glitch where you don’t hit the exact same HOPO consistently every time you restart the song.
For instance, when I was grinding for an FC on Less Talk More Rokk, it consistently was not letting me hit the yellow HOPO. When you quit to the main menu or whatever, the glitch stops. Howbeit.... I don’t know whether or not that glitch is playing a factor of why I am still stuck on Round And Round on ‘80s(because sometimes I perfectly hit the super tight zigzag on Guitar Solo 1A and sometimes I don’t)
