  • In this video we take a walkaround tour of the 2023 Chevrolet Blazer 2LT AWD in Sterling Gray Metallic. The Chevy Blazer received a refresh for 2023 which includes mild exterior changes, new packaging, and a new 10.2 HD infotainment system. The 2LT is now the entry trim in the lineup where before it was 2 trims from the bottom. With Adaptive Cruise being on option on 2LT, it isn't a super basic model. Let me know what you think of the refreshed Blazer in the comments below!
    Pricing:
    As equipped: $37,800 + $690 + $1,395 = $39,885 including destination

It's a lovely vehicle - I drove this very same model (23 2Lt) yesterday from PA to NY and absolutely love it.

I have always loved the look of these new Blazers. But at close to $40k, the 2LT should come with standard turn signal indicators and a power liftgate. Having people pay more to go to other trims to have those two features is a little disappointing. Also the interior is ok, but like I said at that price point it should be a little nicer. Great review as always.

      Exactly !
July 2023, I just bought the 2LT Traverse, which is almost the same vehicle, about 14" longer and has a 3rd row seat, and spare tire UNDER the vehicle where it should be.
I Paid $42k for the 2LT AWD WITH the convenience package (heated seats, power liftgate, signaling mirrors, etc) and the $600 towing package (which shockingly is a great deal for that price).
This much smaller vehicle is going for about the same price or MORE??🤯 WITHOUT, the options I have on the cheaper Traverse.

Back seats look really spacious. Is it a flat floor without the center hump??

Nice touch giving us a photos of the window stickers. Other reviewers just hold the camera up to tinted window.

Thank you! It's nearly impossible to see them through tinted glass so I thought this was the best option for my videos.

Do you know the dimension difference between this vehicle And the 2023 Trailblazer?

    • @CarsMadeSimple
      @CarsMadeSimple  Před rokem

The Chevy Blazer is about 18" longer, 5" wider, and 1.5" taller than the Trailblazer.

Looking at either this or the equinox

    • @CarsMadeSimple

Definitely take a look at both. The Blazer is noticeably larger and of course comes with the larger engine options.

The blazer I own and I love it. I got a 2.0 turbocharged. Almost got a 2024 equinox rs. Way to small for me and family

There are many engineering failures in the design of this vehicle. It is difficult to believe that the Traverse was designed by the same company.
    - The dashboard seems to be an aesthetic and functional FAIL.
Mounting the 10 inch display on the dashboard, besides obstructing the start button, looks like some kid glued their iPad. It would probably obstruct the view of shorter drivers over the dash. Plus, it required the GENIUS Engineers to move the AC vents to knee level.
Even if you can aim them way up to your face, it's questionable that the air will still be cold by the time it gets to you. Recycling the vents from the Camaro was probably not such a good idea.
    - The analog gauges are GREAT. On the full digital cluster, the information center seems to have been shrunk to about 3.3" instead of the 4.3" he is complaining about. IMHO, the analog cluster is the better choice, also it's cheaper and less prone to expensive failures.
    - The choice of using glossy piano black plastic to surround the wheel wells is a real mind bender. These are the same glossy surfaces that you can never keep smudges and fingerprints off of inside the car. You will probably need to hire someone full time just to keep them wiped down. The matte finish is much more practical.
    - The use of the space saver spare which leaves virtually no storage space under the cargo floor seems like a poor choice. It would have been better to mount it underneath or on the back of the vehicle. I have never used a space saver spare because we have AAA, so I would probably just jettison the spare altogether and make it into a subwoofer box. The Traverse has a much better design where they already provide a nice deep well for amps and subwoofers, or extra storage if you need it.
I have to wonder if they are using volunteer engineers to design these. It's hard to believe people are getting paid for this!

Fake AWD drive, and if you doubt me, get behind the with the car running, put it into drive and push the gas paddle to the floor as fast as you can. When it pulls to the right it's not a true AWD system, it's a front wheel drive with a rear asset

The Blazer is a FWD platform.

@Cars Made Simple yes, it's basically a front wheel drive hatchback with cloth Interior and a small lift. That you want $40,000, and if you loaded it up, it's over $50,000. Just goes to show you there's a SUCKER born every day.

It's experiencing a kind of market effervescence at the moment, but the novelty will wear off and I can see thee being deeply discounted.
And I wouldn't expect them to hold their value as well as the Traverse on the used market.
