The HEALTHIEST Yogurt To Buy In 2020...Including Dairy Free

  • There have never been more yogurt options at the grocery store, but many of them are not products I would want to consume on a healthy diet. In this yogurt review video I show you the most nutritionally dense yogurt options, including two of my favorite plant based and dairy free options. If you eat yogurt, or any dairy, it's gotta be organic, better yet would be grass-fed. Stay away from yogurts with added sweetener, the sugar destroys the live and active cultures. Hope you enjoyed this short, another one coming tomorrow, and almost every day this month! Mad love..Bobby, Dessi, Rose, and Art! XOXO

I like your channel a lot. But as a microbiologist I have to note that sugars in yogurt don’t kill bacteria. Lactic acid bacteria grow well in presence of sugars. If you mean that products of lactic acid fermentation may cause bacteria to die than I think that if you do not consume stale dated yogurt you should be fine.

Just came up on your videos a few days ago and have been binge watching ever since. Although I have absolutely no desire to go on a keto diet, the wealth of information I have and am continuing to gather is just priceless. I've never been a "label reader" per say, or took it serious. But at this age, things have to change. I live in NE Illinois, so am familiar with all the major stores. My go to is "Woodman's", and they do have many of the same products I have run across in your videos. Keep it up..... you're educating me!

Question: I have been religiously eating yogurt everyday, and very recently I finally switched to plain whole milk organic yogurt. I never like the texture of Greek style, so I chose traditional plain yogurt. I tried 2 different grassfed yogurt, and they were 2 extreme side on texture. Organic Valley was too "lumpy" like its curdled (I know it is yogurt after all but...), and Maple Hill was too "runny" as if you are supposed to drink instead of eating with spoon. Its funny I do like milks from both Organic Valley and Maple Hill, but struggle with their yogurt. Do you have any good grassfed yogurt suggestion for a person who likes Stonyfield plain yogurt texture (not Greek)?

@@BobbyParrish Yup, it's all about doing the best with what you have. Additionally, if you actually look into the practices of certain brands then you'll see they aren't all that bad. For instance, Cabot makes a super delicious 10% Milkfat Greek Yogurt. On the label, it does not say Grass-Fed or Organic; however, upon doing some research on the company, checking their social media, as well as DMing the brand on Instagram, I was able to find out that their dairy cows eat a diet of mostly grass with only small amounts of supplemental grain in their regular diet. I think that is a whole lot better than purely grain fed. Plus, the Cabot cows even get access to pasture. So, I was at least happy to see that there are some good things going on.

As much as I love Bobby and think his videos are SO helpful, this is simply untrue. Sugar only kills bacteria in stale, outdated yogurt and dairy. Bacteria thrives in sugar, actually, and that includes the ones in your stomach. Unless you’re eating super expired yogurt, you’re still getting all the live and active bacteria. Only thing is, you’re eating more sugar. Bobby’s claims are misinformation.

Costco greek yogurt has 3 g of sugar, the ones recommended in this video have 2 to 3 times more sugar. Sugar is sugar Grass fed or not.
